I've had this speaker for about a month now and it's truly the best Bluetooth speaker I've ever owned. The sound quality is excellent. The speaker is very stylish and looks great on display. The wireless charging is useful to pop your phone on while streaming music. Battery life is better than expected and makes the speaker very portable as I find I want to move this round the house rather than using the speakers we have in other rooms. Highly recommend

Bought my Beloit on promotion so was a good value price point given standard pricing. Overall sound quality is very good with good bass tones. App allows you to adjust a set a number of EQ levels which is a great feature. Another feature is the aux input Jack which many similar products don't have. I use it to connect an old apple iPod that has my full music library and works very well. Overall very pleased but only issue is leather top strap. Not convinced it is right for this unit re design feature etc over time leather will become dirty from hand marking etc
I went to John Lewis to replace my old portable speaker and intended to buy a much cheaper speaker, but after a long time in the store listening to all the sounds this one was by far the best and I call it my investment piece. This amazing speaker is easy to carry around the house and garden too with it's gorgeous handle and looks great ! The charge lasts forever it's light enough looks good and the quality is 10/10. The quality of sound makes all the difference to my eclectic range of music.. I can't recommend this speaker enough and truly an investment that was worth every penny as my music is on all day.
This has to be one of the best sounding speakers i have ever owned.It is a good weight making it feel as good as it looks and sounds.Don't think about buying it, just do it as you won't be disapointed.Stunning sound quality and i managed to buy it when John Lewis had it on special offer, which made it even better.Great service and delivery as always.
Changing my rating to one star - not only is the 'pleather' strap mis-sold, but the unit can't handle Bluetooth from either phone or laptop. Performing any CPU intensive operation (like closing a browser tab) causes the sound to momentarily stop. Poor implementation of Bluetooth - have many other bluetooth audio devices and none of them have this problem. Have spent too long trouble shooting this - hardware re-set etc - and also trying to find the correct strap. The replacement (genuine leather for Beolit 17) strap I ordered from B&O will also be returned. I will refuse delivery if I catch the courier.
Strap provided is not leather, it's "Vegetable Tanned Leather Polymer"John Lewis description is "vegetable-tanned leather strap" and the unit is displayed in store with a nicer looking strap than it's sold with. I really liked the strap I saw in store, but JL refused to sell it to me, saying the display was property of B&O, so I've asked them, and they say it's the responsibility of the retailer. I feel mislead. The nicer strap is also on display in B&O store in Bicester, again B&O have disowned, saying all UK stores are independent resellers.
After researching many speakers in this price range, I finally decided to see what B&O was about. Easy to say, the price more than reflects the quality of this speaker. I'm truly blown away at how powerful and precise this portable speaker is. Very clean and detailed highs, and with a little tweaking, massive pounding bass. Very little distortion at peak volumes, though I find the best performance around 60-70% volume, which rest assured, is very loud and controlled sound. An absolute beautiful powerhouse.

It's a full 360 sound because of the speaker and passive radiators placement. Qi charging on top is a bonus. I hear detail and warmth in music that makes me smile, be it EDM, classical or anything else.Not bothered about the lack of WiFi, though that might be a dealbreaker for some it wasn't for me, and it's got a 3.5mm Jack input and charges via usb-c too with a small power-brick.I'm fussy and want to hear quality audio. When on sale I'd thoroughly recommend this speaker, it's a quality bit of audio engineering with a quality sound.Hope this review helps anyone in the same dilemma I was in before I bought it!
