Nice doll was wanting her for long time. I am disappointed that Mattel decided to reduce the blackness of the scalp because I love the effect of the black roots with pink ends. Also, Mattel can you PLEASE! PLEASE! PLEASE! make these fashionistas with articulated elbows and knees instead of charging $7.00 increase to $10.00

I was Christmas shopping for an electronics gift and ran across the toy aisle at Best Buy. I never even knew they sold dolls, so surprisingly I bought my granddaughter a fashionista Barbie that was cute, unique and styled realistically. She was African American with a sassy shaved ashe blonde hair cut, a leather mini skirt, denim wrap shirt and adorable heeled booties on her feet. She LOVED this doll! The first thing she said was "she's so pretty and look at her outfit!" A total hit from a store I'd least expect to make such a purchase from...thanks Best Buy!!!!

I love the barbies look. The doll we bought was black and has purple hair. I find it kind of rude that the black doll is larger then the rest of the barbies and my daughter said she doesn't fit in any of her other barbie clothes because the rest are skinny. I appreciate the diversity but if they are going to make dolls that aren't all skinny they should have larger ones in other races and clothes that they can fit in.

My son loves to play with the doll, he was really happy about the movements he could made with her like moving the legs and arms (more movement than with his normal superhero toys) obviously she is the girl who needs to be rescue he has a lot of fun playing with her.The doll was originally a present for my eldest daughter but she played with her just for two days as her another dolls has more features and extras. Personally, I love the clothes and the quality basically I am in love with the full collection but maybe will be more indicated as a product for a collector.
I got the random Barbie and she is pretty. She is a bit larger in the hips and belly than the Barbies I grew up with. This is fine except she doesn't fit into the clothes my grandmother made for my Barbie collection years ago. I understand that many mothers want the heavier Barbies for their daughters for body image issues. I already live a large life and my pretend life will always be that of a thinner Barbie dating GI Joe.
I purchased this as a gift, but I love that Barbie is now making dolls in various shapes, sizes, and professions. It sends a positive message that many girls and women need to hear and see. They also make them very affordable, making them good for gifting and donations.
My 5 year old picked this specific doll, and here's the best thing: although the doll intentionally has a very common skin condition, my kid didn't really notice. Maybe it's because her older sister is special needs, so my little one simply sees differences as little things - a skin condition doesn't mean she can't be played with or loved. Kudos to Barbie for releasing this line, and may all our kids learn the same thing
At Christmas, my 6 year old granddaughter saw a Barbie Fashionistas Doll (at another store) that she wanted. As she has selected and spent her allotted amount of Christmas money, she chose to forego the doll. A couple weeks after Christmas, I saw the same doll in Best Buy but for half the price. I purchased and wrapped the doll, giving it to my granddaughter for receiving 100% on her 3 of her spelling test, therefore it was a reward and not a gift.She was so very happy to see it was the same doll she had wanted!

his doll is more better in person. She actually looks like her promo pictures. Her dress is beautiful as well as her makeup and she is not pixelated. Her hair is soft and has some slight waves. Glad I managed to get one but I might order more
