bareMinerals - Matte SPF 15 Foundation - Fairly Light - 6G

This is my favorite foundation ever! It has a buildable coverage and a little bit goes a long way. I just tap a small amount into the lid and swirl the brush and buff the product on my face. I want to emphasize again, a little bit goes a long way because loose powder can be messy, but also you do not want you face looking powdery. If you use a lot at first, the foundation just kind of sits on top of the skin. Start small and then add more to the places you want a little more coverage. I really love the texture and feel of this foundation. It's so lightweight that I forget I have anything on my face. When I was younger I would use thick, heavy full coverage foundation to cover my freckles because I was bullied for them. Beautiful natural, satin matte finish for oily/combo skin

Like many others, BareMinerals Original Loose Mineral Foundation was the first makeup I ever wore growing up since it was my mom’s favorite. Because of my skin type I decided to try the Matte formula.And wow. It’s lovely. Even better than I remember since I now know how to correctly apply it. Feels great on my skin, not heavy, and decently long lasting. I am able to achieve a beautiful natural result that looks like healthy skin. The more I use it and get comfortable with the method of application, the better it looks every time. I wear the shade Neutral Ivory 06, which is a good shade transitioning out of winter into spring. I will need a deeper shade for summer since I tend to get more tan then.In this photo I applied 2 to 3 light layers which gave me medium coverage. I then went in with their Loose Powder Concealer in the shade Summer Bisque, aka my new holy grail for blemishes. A little goes a long way. I also love the concealer with other foundations too, even liquid ones. I highly recommend their All Over Face Warmth and Mineral veil, too. Very pretty. And same rules apply — a little goes a long way.Since BareMinerals was connected to my adolescence, I have always had a soft spot in my heart for them. I’m so pleased that even in my adult age they don’t disappoint.

Holy grail foundation for oily skin!

This stuff has almost tricked me into thinking that I don't have oily skin. I wear this all day and never look or feel oily. I love the coverage - it's enough to mask my redness but it lets my freckles show through, kinda like a "my skin but much better" look. I've gotten way less breakouts since switching my foundation to this one, and my skin genuinely looks and feels better. I love it!!!It took me a few tries to get the application right. I don't use BM brush it says to use, just a normal (cheap) foundation brush and it is fine. I've also found that I don't need to "swirl" the product on the brush before putting it on - buffing it straight onto my face works better. A "dirty" brush is better for me too! It’s good but not amazing

I’ve been using a liquid foundation for years (my go to is Armani luminous silk) but after reading the reviews that it’s good for oily skin I decided to give it a try. So I’ll start with the positives: + It was easy to apply even though I’m not used to powder + It feels really nice on the skin, doesn’t feel heavy and not drying + It blended well and the coverage is right what I wanted, not too cakey and doesn’t look like a mask Now with the negatives: - I have a combo/ oily skin and enlarged pores on my nose, this foundation made them look even larger! I used my usual primer which always worked for me in the past but the powder applied on top accentuated the pores nevertheless - the colour recommended to me based on my regular foundation is way off! The hardest part was finding my shade because there are so many. but I got it on the first try. Has buildable coverage and even a light application evens my skin tone and slightly ruddy complexion. It feels light on my skin. I love the matte finish which helps with wrinkles and pores. I have dry skin and use a serum, moisturizer, and primer before applying the foundation. I can't get over the way it covers without settling into fine lines. I use Bare Minerals concealer on dark spots and under my eyes. No choice but to love it

I used to wear this foundation back in high school. Years later I was looking for a loose powder with some coverage, and I decided to give it another go. I'm so glad I did! You only need a very small amount for light-to-medium coverage, and it gives a beautifully smooth finish. Plus, mineral makeup and no fragrance makes it great for my sensitive skin. I do still put setting poweder over it because I'm very oily in my T zone. But it really stays on all day, and I don't think most people would need to set it with another powder.The only con is that it's nearly $40. I understand that it's a higher-end brand with nice, skin friendly formulas. And you get a good amount of product. But it does hurt in my pants pockets every time I need to buy another, haha.

I am delighted to report it’s everything I hoped for. It stays in place all day, it looks natural, and it truly matte without caking. It’s worth the price. Don’t waste time on drugstore brands.
