Despite having combination skin, using a primer, applying proper skincare beforehand to hydrate my skin, this dries down with an uneven, flaky finish. When I apply with a beauty blender it’s a patchy flaky finish but it’s a little better when I use a brush. It truly is disappointing. The spf component does not leave a whitecast. 💄 Overall: I wanted to like this foundation but I just can’t. I’ve tried several ways to apply this foundation with several combinations of moisturizer-primer no matter what I do, it becomes dry, patchy uneven. It’s a shame because initially my skin looks radiant with a natural, lightweight formula; however, it dries down to creates dry patches makes my skin look uneven. 2/5 for me

I’ve been using Bare Minerals Original Foundation for years and it’s my go to foundation. My grandmother also loves it. I use mine and hers for an even coverage, after applying concealer. So that I can get a clean, bright look along with covering my blemishes. The foundation gives me a flawless look. Also, my grandmother uses her foundation on its own whenever she wears makeup, so that she can cover her blemishes. The foundation works on its own or applied over concealer. It’s a little expensive, but worth it. It’s expensive compared to drug store foundations. I get this foundation from Ulta. My grandma prefers hers in powder form, but the liquid form does just as good as job. I normally use the liquid on an everyday basis, whenever I wear makeup. Great Buy!!!

I have been using this product for a few years now and it has not disappointed me yet. It has my skin simply flawless. Please do not stop making this particular formula. I’ve tried so many others but none compared to this one. Also I don’t usually write reviews so please know these are facts. This review is not part of a promotion either. It’s simply a customer who love the quality of this product. I think I will venture out and try some other products from bare minerals.

Great for sensitive skin

This foundation works really really well for sensitive skin. I have extremely sensitive and reactive skin and I often get eczema around my eyes that is aggravated by makeup. I struggle so much finding products that don't upset or irritate my skin, and this foundation is the only one I have come across so far that doesn't upset my eczema and cause extreme itchiness and burning. I really recommend it to anyone who struggles with sensitive skin. Unfortunately, I can only give this foundation 3 stars because it didn't look the best on my skin. I also have skin drier than the desert, and this foundation looked very dry and patchy on me. I think it would work much better on someone with oilier skin. Great product terrible packaging

Best for my sensitive skin, must use a powder to get rid of shine if that’s not your thing. I would have bought the same one for summer in a different shade but the packing is so bad! It gets stuck and foundation just plops out everywhere, not great when you’re dressed up. White liquid comes out with foundation don’t know what that’s about.Bare minerals you need to fix this packaging asap! Feels cheap and it’s turned me off that particular product just because if the bottle.

Horrible packaging and a subpar product

Using the color matching on their website- the product came in WAY too dark (even though I based of off of colors I already use in other Bareminerals foundations). Kept it anyway because it was part of a package and only used it when I was on vacation and had a tan (so not that often). It's a total mess. You have to spin the top to open it up and there is a spring pump that just causes make up to get all over the place. I have at least 3/4 of the bottle left and the spring broke making it unusable. I contacted the company and they said "it's been too long since I purchased it and they can do nothing." What a waste of money. Ok so this stuff is amazing! I have dark tan skin and have been using bare minerals since they first launched. I always find that the powders and tinted moisturizers are always too red for me and I thought this would be the same but baby when I tell you I finally found my perfect shade!!! Plus I wore it tonight for the first time and went to my friends party and her mom said, oh you have pretty skin like me. That was a huge compliment because her mom’s skin is flawless but mine on the other hand is currently full of breakouts, hyperpigmentation and large pores and this foundation covered it all up with 4 small pumps!! Light and Bright

Absolutely love the packaging and bottle for this foundation. Its exactly like the Tom Ford Traceless Perfecting foundation. I hope more foundations and companies move toward this style of packaging. I like this foundation, so far. I am extra dry right now, so I did notice without a good moisturizer and primer, it really accentuated my flakes and dry patches. It goes on super light and it spreads easily. Directions say to use your fingers and then a brush, if you want, to blend. The easy pump and apply makes this a decent foundation. It also immediately covered my dark circles. Id say if you are looking for a clean, vegan and natural looking foundation, give it a try! It has a matte finish and says it will improve skin over time. This is an amazing product

Bare minerals foundation is AMAZING. So I have freckles all over my face. I have learned to love my freckles but it took years to reach this point. When I was younger I tried to cover them up. Which anyone with freckles knows that is impossible to do without wearing a ton of concealer and foundation that is way to dark for your skin tone and makes you look completely ridiculous. This foundation was able covered every blemish on my face without any concealer, the only prep work I did was apply a thin layer of primer. My freckles are still visible but they are much softer. All of the blemishes and imperfections are completely covered. It is so light and makes my face feel soft and smooth but not oily. I made it through a 12 hour shift last night and when I got home my face looked exactly like it did when I left for work. I love that it has SPF 20 in the foundation, I have very fare skin and burn easy. I was really blown away by the results of this foundation. Honestly I cant say enough good things about this product. I can not think of one Con about this product. The only thing I can think of is I do wish that there was a cover for the nozzle that dispenses the foundation but my solution for that is to keep it stored in the box it came in, inside my make up bag. My only regret is I didnt find this foundation sooner. I will definitely recommend this product to all my friends and family.

First thing I noticed - the shade match is incredible for me. I've never found a shade this perfect. When I first applied it, I was shocked that I couldn't really tell where it had been applied. The downside to this is that I honestly don't know how long it stays on me - if wears away throughout the day then it fades beautifully. It does start to fade off blemishes after a few hours but that's normal for me because I don't use concealer or powder on blemishes, I just use a priming/setting spray before and after using. The directions say to apply with fingers, but I found that a damp sponge worked best for me. I'm assuming fingers give the fullest spf but I use a separate spf so I'm not concerned. Honestly this is probably going to become my new holy grail foundation, and it's a bargain if you ask me.
