I have been wearing this knee brace for 2 years to do martial arts every week and it still going on strong, so durability is not a problem. The level of support is amazing regardless of how the knee is moving. I had to fiddle around with the straps to suit my needs but they are adjustable so that was easy to deal with. I found I still had about 90% freedom of movement while wearing it, which is excellent considering you ARE wearing a brace and it also has hinges. The biggest positive for me (considering that my knee has no ACL) was that I was confident I could kick, run, jump and twist on my knee without worrying about it caving in or getting injured. I would absolutely recommend this knee brace.

I had given up on playing football (soccer) after doing both an ACL and MCL at the time. 2 & 1/2 years later I come across this product and I’m now playing football again. I cannot recommend this knee brace highly enough. It has not only given me the confidence to kick the ball with my sons again, I’m actually about to start playing competition football again. Had an online consultation with Stephan regarding my left medial meniscus tear and my preference for protection over performance. He recommended the Genu S and the perfect size for me. It literally saves me from quitting badminton because it provides so much stability without too much restriction. Thank you once again for getting back to my favourite game!

Very helpful when I sent emails, very quickly posted and received. Seems quite well made and I like the hinges at the knee because I'm no longer restricted with movement as I was with my old knee brace (only firm rods down either side of my leg). The only issue I have (as with all braces I've bought) is at the top of my thigh, the material rolls down. Perhaps it's just my leg! haaa
I’m 54 and recently had a silly accident at home sliding in a dog toy and snapping my MCL with a grade 3 tear. After being unsuccessfully fitted at the physio twice with a very uncomfortable hinged brace I decided to look online and came across great reviews for your braces. This brace has been wonderful for my safe mobility in a house with three large dogs. Comfortable to wear all day with only minor adjustments needed for comfort due to some large veins on my inner calf. I wear a padded bit under the bottom of the brace and stays in place beautifully and no pressure on the veins. I find due to non muscular thighs the top rolls down a bit but this doesn’t really affect comfort too much. I was concerned about the safety and stability of my affected knee for doing zodiak transfers (to/from the expedition ship, and to/from landings) and walking on rocky, icy/snowy, and slippery Antarctic conditions. Bought for my husband - Very effective support with ease of use and comfort. The best brace he has used after years of knee problems. Because he uses it all day everyday we will be buying a second one to make the laundering of the brace easier.
I have previously used the Genutrain 10 years ago for an advanced knee sprain. The brace was invaluable for me as I recovered independently from the injury (my insurance had run out).10 years later a similar injury (quadricep tendon rupture) occured to my other knee and am now receiving proper PT. This brace has improved retention due to the Velcro straps which help keep the brace in place all day (the Genutrain was prone to sliding after it has worn down from use).Definitely recommend this product and all bauerfiend products to others
Feedback from the patient.The best knee brace he has used so far. The breathable material is soft and works in with his skin, giving support and comfort without overheating, becoming itchy etc.The reinforced sides at the knee are also great as they give support and a feeling of confidence when moving, walking and even sitting/drivingStill needs to have a good work out in it and I will get more feedback at the next appointment.I would like to add photos or videos but it is difficult without permission from the patient. He may agree at next appt and then we can upload something.But so far.... very happy with everything.
I have longtime old injury, slight tear in meniscus from motorcross that flares up when my knee gets pushed to hard sideways. As i'm getting older this happens more and more, work but more from surfing. So i am giving this genutrain s knee brace a go mainly for surfing . i really like it straight out of the box for fit and adjustment, only surfed with it a few times but seems to help with swelling and pain after. The only thing wrong with this brace is, i can feel the hinge on my knee there should be more padding or gel insert on the hinge. You don't notice it when your focused on surfing but when your not surfing its there. not bad but for me its the only thing. Still 5 stars.
