I have been wearing this knee brace for 2 years to do martial arts every week and it still going on strong, so durability is not a problem. The level of support is amazing regardless of how the knee is moving. I had to fiddle around with the straps to suit my needs but they are adjustable so that was easy to deal with. I found I still had about 90% freedom of movement while wearing it, which is excellent considering you ARE wearing a brace and it also has hinges. The biggest positive for me (considering that my knee has no ACL) was that I was confident I could kick, run, jump and twist on my knee without worrying about it caving in or getting injured. I would absolutely recommend this knee brace.

I had given up on playing football (soccer) after doing both an ACL and MCL at the time. 2 & 1/2 years later I come across this product and I’m now playing football again. I cannot recommend this knee brace highly enough. It has not only given me the confidence to kick the ball with my sons again, I’m actually about to start playing competition football again. Very helpful when I sent emails, very quickly posted and received. Seems quite well made and I like the hinges at the knee because I'm no longer restricted with movement as I was with my old knee brace (only firm rods down either side of my leg). The only issue I have (as with all braces I've bought) is at the top of my thigh, the material rolls down. Perhaps it's just my leg! haaa

7 weeks after surgery to repair a complete radial tear of the posterior root of my medial menus, and after consultation with my physiotherapist, I decided to buy a functional support brace to give stability and peace of mind for my return to normal daily mobility - and in preparation for a week's holiday in Bali, the urban parts of which are replete with uneven surfaces and pedestrian hazardsI'm currently in Bali and am about to return home, happy with my decision. $300 is a lot of money but the Genutrain S has been worth the investment. I don't have a serious injury but being past 50 BJJ makes my knees sore at times just from the rigour of being on the mat. This brace is fantastic - not only am I not sore after training, but I am now also a lot less worries about getting an injury due to the hinges that protect against over extension.
I actually purchased these for my wife who suffers from mild bursitis in both her knees along with the early onset of osteoarthritis.She is quite happy with these braces, they do a great job and that was to provide relief and support without restricting movement.The staff member I dealt with was very friendly and helpful in explaining the brace and its suitability for my wife and making sure we purchased the correct size.Thank you Bauerfeind another very happy customer.No hesitation in recommending this brace to family and friends.
I have many leg wraps and braces and this one is the only one that has proved to offer releif and confort.. I am ordering another spare tday. I had a torn meniscus a few years ago and now have developed arthritis. This one truly works and is so comfortable. The one the DR gave me pinched my bones and my knees still swelled up. If you are hurting and feel hopeless I would try this one. You will be so glad you did. I love mine and can walk again in comfort without having to take pain meds!
I use the hinged brace for support for my osteoarthritis in my knee. The brace gives very good support even to a recent 6km hike/snowshoe walk with the brace on. Had no issues with plenty of support for my knee when needed
I have previously used the Genutrain 10 years ago for an advanced knee sprain. The brace was invaluable for me as I recovered independently from the injury (my insurance had run out).10 years later a similar injury (quadricep tendon rupture) occured to my other knee and am now receiving proper PT. This brace has improved retention due to the Velcro straps which help keep the brace in place all day (the Genutrain was prone to sliding after it has worn down from use).Definitely recommend this product and all bauerfiend products to others
Feedback from the patient.The best knee brace he has used so far. The breathable material is soft and works in with his skin, giving support and comfort without overheating, becoming itchy etc.The reinforced sides at the knee are also great as they give support and a feeling of confidence when moving, walking and even sitting/drivingStill needs to have a good work out in it and I will get more feedback at the next appointment.I would like to add photos or videos but it is difficult without permission from the patient. He may agree at next appt and then we can upload something.But so far.... very happy with everything.
