This was recommended by my podiatrist following a mild sprain of my bifurcate ligament after twisting my foot. I do not have an ankle injury, but I need to wear this sleeve (along with supportive shoes) to help the ligament heal for 3 weeks. I do significant walking at work and recently started working out with a trainer, so this sleeve will help me keep active. I only remove it for sleeping and showers.

My Othopedic surgeon, Dr. Tom Clanton from Steadman/Phillipon in Vail, CO recommended I wear this specific ankle support to fit my lifestyle in the mountains. After trying another ankle support this is far superior ^. After a serious surgery this keeps the swelling away all day. I have two because I wear one every day per my Dr.s orders. Very comfortable, supportive and not bulky at all.

I have ankle injury and have to be on my feet for work 40-50 hours a week. The brace actually helps with swelling and pain a lot. Also, the gel pads are great! I wasn't sure if they would fit well while wearing shoes, but there's no problem at all. I plan to buy the second pair soon.

I am very glad that I finally decided to purchase a MalleoTrain ankle support, I rolled my left ankle many years ago and in the last several year I had started experience pain and stiffness. this ankle support fits the shape of my ankle well and feels very comfortable, I wear it during the day including when doing exercise, the pain I used to have has reduced significantly, I will definitely continue to wear it.
I have recently been diagnosed with Osteoarthritis of the ankle and was looking for a support brace that would relieve some of the irritant/pain and allow me to participate comfortably in activities I enjoy, walking & golf. The Bauerfeind MalleoTrain Ankle Brace has provided a lot of pain relief and has allowed me to "almost" comfortably continue with my activities.
After trying so many other brands, did further research and came across Bauerfeind. Thank goodness I did. Purchased the Malleo Ankle Support for my Achilles Tendonitis and Plantar Fasciitis and can honestly say have noticed a marked improvement with mobility and pain relief. Very happy!!
I feel really safe with this providing support to my formerly broken ankle. Love the cushioning. However, it fits everywhere perfectly except the piece that goes around my foot which is too big. Makes creases when I put on my shoes. Too bad there isn't sizing for women, as I'm sure that part would be smaller. But I'm living with it, as I know another size down would be too small.
This is the second brace I’ve ordered after wearing it as recommended by my Ortho doc for arthritis and swelling in one ankle. It provides both medial and lateral support but what is more important to me is that I can still wear my shoes with it!
Together with the knee supports and this one for my left ankle, the pain that I have been having in my hips and knees when I climb stairs, is now gone. After I wasn't able to do my normal cardio exercise routine due to a trip and it's preparations in August, when I came back home I discovered the pain was gone. When I restarted my exercises, the pain came back. That's when I realize that my super flexible joints were suffering from that intensity cardio workout. The idea came to get some joint supports and these are the supports that I bought after some research. I really am quite amazed that just using these supports could do that. Since using these, all the pain is gone again! They don't seem that big of a support to give that kind of effect, but they obviously ... MoreTogether with the knee supports and this one for my left ankle, the pain that I have been having in my hips and knees when I climb stairs, is now gone. I suspect that my problem is not an isolated one and I highly recommend these supports and hope others with a similar issue, may find some similar relief from their pain too.
I have been wearing the MalleoTrain Ankle Support as part of my recovery from a broken ankle. I wanted something to give support after I came out of the moon boot as I still have some swelling. It fits the bill perfectly, snug but not too tight, I particularly like the extra support around the heel and front of ankle.
