Fun for family Night! A good mix of questions and challenges so you can play to your strengths for the kids and parents. It brings a lot of intellectual thinking & laughter to the game, which makes it well-rounded and fun. Questions have both a kid & a parent side so that there's a little more balance to the playing. This Beat the Parents game is a really great game and a definite new addition to our game night rotation. It's definitely a great game for family night! The kids try to beat the parents in a fun challenging trivia game, a wager is set at the beginning by both the parents and the kiddos. Our kids are 8 and 11 years old, this game was played pretty smoothly with the 11-year-old helping his brother.

Received this Beat the Parents game from Spin Master and Tryazon in exchange for my honest review. We truly enjoyed playing this game. It was such a fun, engaging and challenging game that the whole family could participate in & enjoy. The children and parents each select a "wager" and the losers of the game either do/accept or don't do/accept the winner's wager. It's quite competitive and there are a variety of questions included in the game. I'd definitely recommend this game for any family game night. The children find it so challenging and strive to be the victor so they can indeed "beat the parents". We had a blast with it and it's a game that will be apart of our family game nights in the future. The premise of this game is a traditional trivia based game that teams kids against parents. You move across the game board one space for every answer you get correct. Each card has both kids and parent questions so there are a lot of questions for a lot of playability. There are also several challenge opportunities to get players moving and active which makes the game more interesting by competing against physical tasks such as doing dishes or wiping the counters fastest. My biggest complaint is the age recommendation. This game says for kids 6 but is way too difficult for kids under 8-ish. The majority of questions are hard and the reading alone is challenging for a six year old. Overall, itās a great way to have parent compete against kids and be a little silly ...Ā MoreThe premise of this game is a traditional trivia based game that teams kids against parents. Beat the Parents was a great party game. The challenges made the game! It was definitely great having multiple people there. Had a great time with game night trying out a bunch of new games through Tryazon and the Spin Master Summer Game Night. We played Beat the Parents, Less is More, Headbanz, Sink N Sand, Soggy Doggy, and Escape Your House. The other games played as described. Everything was well made, had good instructions, and was enjoyable! Iād definitely recommend any games by the manufacturerCanāt wait to play them all again soon!
My two boys, 9 and 6, and my wife and I had a great time playing this game together. What worked really well is that it made it a great competitive game between young and old. The kids really got into it, and we had such a great time making wagers for each game. The only drawback are the kids questions - while they are general / pop culture questions, not all kids at the ages we have are exposed to the content the questions are around. That's just a minor nitpick to an otherwise great game.
Great game with lots of fun to be had! The wager part can really be motivating to win, even if you are not competitive. Some of the challenges are extreme, but we just modified as necessary for our situation. That's the fun about games in general, you can make it how you want as long as everyone agrees to the rules. Some of the questions were a little challenging to read for younger kids (i.e. 6-7 years old), however, we made it a practice to have them read the first question THEN start the timer.Timer seems to go pretty quick not leaving much time to guess the second and barely the third question. There also seems to be no order of difficulty in which questions are asked in order.Overall a lot of fun still and would recommend as a family friendly game!
This Beat the Parents game is a really neat and fun game! It comes with 200 cards, 1 gameboard, 1 sand timer, 2 player movers, 1 marker clip, 1 dry erase marker, 1 wager board, 1 cardboard stand, and instructions. This is 2-6 players, and recommended for ages 6 . It's definitely a great game for family night! The kids try to beat the parents in a fun challenging trivia game. This is also an excellent learning experience for them as well! Definitely a must have game for every family to have in their household! I will say, I think this one is a little to challenging for a 6 year old. My boys are 6
We got this game as a gift. Our family loves games and we play a lot together. We were excited about this but after one time through no one wants to play it again. The questions for the kids are so easy and the parent questions are insanely hard. Guess that is why itās called ākids beat the parents.ā The kids of course like winning but said the questions were too easy and was not challenging for them. They also didnāt like how lopsided it felt. This game was one and done for our family.
Beat the Parents ā My children loved being able to make a wager upon the winner of the game. Last game we played, the parents had to do a crazy dance off each day for the week. Some of the questions were a harder than I would rate a ākidsā question. I think the timer was just right to try and answer the 3 questions that were on the card. This game definitely has a lot of reading, so you need someone on both the kids and the adults team that can properly read to be able to answer the questions correctly. There is very little set up for this game, both brand new and playing again. The instructions are simple to read and understand as well. This is a fun little family game. Only rated a 4 because I felt like some of the questions were too hard as described on the kids ...Ā MoreBeat the Parents ā My children loved being able to make a wager upon the winner of the game. Beat the Parents game by Spin Master is a fun game to play as a family. You wager a chore or fun activity and the first team to win gets their wager. There are some hard and some easy questions. I would say it is best for ages 10 and up. If you are playing with younger kids you may be able to find some questions specifically for them or give them hints to help. The kids loved the challenge cards! The challenge cards are fun games or activities to complete again the other team for bonus moves. It comes with a timer but doesn't specify in the directions what it is for. It is definitely a fun family game. I can't wait to play It again!
