The Beats Solo 2 Luxe Edition headphones are a solid choice for those who prioritize design and bass-heavy sound. They offer a comfortable and stylish listening experience, though audiophiles seeking a more balanced sound profile might look elsewhere. For everyday use and casual listening, they provide a good blend of quality and aesthetic appeal. The headphones feature well-cushioned ear cups and an adjustable headband, providing a comfortable fit for extended listening sessions. Passive noise isolation is effective, though not as comprehensive as active noise-canceling headphones.

I have been using AirPod (gen 2) and a Plantronics (PLT_Legend) as well as some USB connected headphones by Logitech for my conference calls. I am used to working at home, but since everyone has been restricted to staying at home in NYC, my neighbor has been extremely loud during his phone calls with friends and perhaps colleagues. He is singing to them at full voice a lot, and while he is fine at singing, he can go for 8 hours without stopping. I have been considering a set of noise canceling headphones and my priority has been wireless lately. I have a mix of computers and devices but my work computer is Windows 10 and my phone and tablet are IOS. I have a mix of computers and devices but my work computer is Windows 10 and my phone and tablet are IOS. I had tried out the Solo Pro's at an Apple store when they came out, but 299 seemed like a lot at the time, so when I saw the 'renewed' offer from Amazon I was intrigued, and made the purchase. I am reviewing these based on my experience of one day of use so I will update when necessary. The headphones came in a generic box (inside of an amazon shipping box) and everything was bubble wrapped effectively. The package included the headset, a charging cable, the carrying case, stickers, and a folded quick guide. When I started them up, the headsets would not instantly pair, but I looked up how to reset them (10 second press on the mode and volume down button) and they immediately worked correctly to sync with my IPhone and my IPad. I was also able to easily pair them with my Windows machine. Sound quality has been very good. I have a pair of Seinhauser headphones for music recording purposes which are probably better but for a wireless headset these have a nice sound. As noted by others, they are more neutral than Beats have been historically known. I listened to music and watched some streaming video and the quality was better than my AirPods. For teleconferencing, they performed perfectly. I have had no issue and switching between my devices has been relatively quick. The H1 chip links to my IPhone XS very quickly, and relatively fast on my IPad Pro (first gen) as well as Windows 10 laptop. No issues there. There is no software/app that pairs with these. Active Noise Canceling/Transparent Mode changes can be made with the mode button or by selecting the volume widget in the control center (click it and a little control panel pops up with mode and volume). I only knew that because I am used to IOS's relatively undocumented interfaces, but it is useful to know since you can't entirely tell which mode you are in. ANC worked really well. I have a mechanical keyboard and when I am using Noise Canceling, it is muffled. Normally there are sharp clicks. My neighbor has been almost entirely silenced. Transparent mode changes the sound quality substantially, although it is not 100% of the sound without the head sets. I think it works properly for what it is for. You can't adjust levels of ANC as you might with some headsets. Also you can't adjust equalization of the headsets themselves. Comfort wise, they feel like headsets always do. They press against my ears and eventually I need to take them off to get a break, but I have had them on for several hours both seated and cooking in the kitchen, and found them comfortable for on ear type. I can't vouch for battery charge timing, but I haven't run close to emptying them. Since I often run out of charge on my Airpod during an hour phone call, I am encouraged by that. I like that they use lighting cables to charge as I have several of these around my house and always travel with them. Others may find it annoying. Range is definitely better than either my Plantronics (which connect to a BT300M widget) and my Airpods. Places where normally I have drop out are still getting strong signal with almost no breakup. Even when there is a little cutout they don't lose connection and return to full performance without any glitch. My partner tried them on and now she is asking to borrow them. She found them comfortable and has a smaller head than I do. She liked the sound a lot. If you don't have IOS devices (especially newer ones) you probably would have fewer reasons to get these. At under 200 dollars, I think I have gotten a good deal. Hopefully they will last a while. They seem well made.

I love these speakers because they are comfy on your ears and no background noise !!! The music sounds so clear with clear bass with very very little background noise. It is pricey but worth it as you get what you pay for! It is blue tooth connected but it also comes with a wire to connect through your phone if you prefer that way instead of Bluetooth. It’s compatible with most phones- you just need Bluetooth. The music is clear and perfect sounding. The only thing is, I have owned these headphones for about 3 years now and it does wear on the insides the cushion is scratching off (I use them to workout so the sweat breaks down the cushion). Besides the cosmetic wear and tear- the functionality is still the same 3 years later. So worth the price !
I have small ears, even so these things squeeze my head a bit more than I would have thought and the bass was a bit lacking. But these aren’t studios, but the sound quality was still crystal clear and immaculate. I use them on my laptop while I game and at work to listen to music and books, good mobility and lower profile than that of the blockier studios. They don’t fall of my head either when moving around and bending over and such, I don’t run but I walk. So I couldn’t attest to their durability as I baby my electronics. Pros: good quality to price ratio Moderately comfortable Excellent quality and flexibility with the built in mic in the cord. Cons. A bit tight and uncomfortable after prolonged use Bass is a tad lacking, but again. These aren’t studios but still ... High-performance wireless noise cancelling headphones Compatible with iOS and Android devices Pure adaptive noise canceling (pure ANC) actively blocks external noise Up to 22 hours of battery life enables full-featured all-day wireless playback I bought these for the gym and they are great for that. Good noise cancelling, get really loud compared to other headphones I've used. Really comfy as the cups are soft. Battery is amazing and lives up to the claims. Even though it charges with micro usb it doesn't matter it’s very fast. Only one downside the buttons don't feel as good as the rest if the headphones but they of course work perfect.

Ok, I looooved the sound- the #QUALITY was PRIMO!!!!!!!
Apple use to gift you a pair of this with every new MacBook when they were in partnership. So I got mine as a college student and was so happy with them. The design is comfortable enough that it covers all your ears without creating discomfort. I’ll say be careful with the noise cancellation and no sound transfer. So won’t advice you to have it in the streets. The sound quality is amazing and really loud. I usually wear it to work out. I’ve had mine since 2018 with no issue.
Audio quality is what i expected - pretty good, it's enough for me even that i am semi audiophile, like a little bit haha. I wanted to give this 4 stars because the headphones are not comfortable for longer periods of time to use it especially if you wear eyeglasses! When I touch headphones and when I am putting them on my head I can feel that the quality of the material which was used for them is not the best, it doesnt feel like they are strong and will most likely break in the future. But i got rid of another star here and gave just 3, because i just bought headphones today and the cord is broken. Its obviously a new original cord.. But i got rid of another star here and gave just 3, because i just bought headphones today and the cord is broken. Its obviously a new original cord.. First i had the problem that the left side of the headphones didnt work, i tried to connect with a same cord but i changed different ends to each hesdphones and my mp3 player, i mean i just tried to connect differentends to different devices and it worked wonders. Well i thought it did. But i think the left side of the headphones is still playing little bit more silent then the right side, but when im listening with both sides st the same time i just cant feel the difference. If i move the cord 360 degrees around, the sound in the left side disappears again.. Well im happy that the cord is fixed to the headphones pretty well and it doesnt loosely move while walking and doing stuff while listening for the music. And that means the sound is not distorted by that, because i would have gave only 1 star if that was the case. I think and i hope that its just a broken cord, because if the headphones were broken it wouldnt work with neither end of the cable, but i just bought new headphones and i will have to look for a new cord already and i cant find any in elkjop page.. If it ends up that the headphones are actually faulty here, i will use my guarantee to fix them or to give it back to elkjop and i will edit this to 1 star then.
