$80 for a Decent Set of Buds

So many people are saying that these have no volume on them. You have to go into the app on an Android device or in the settings on an iPhone and set up the volume control to where you push the buttons on either bud for volume up or down. When I turned them up they were plenty loud enough. The sound quality is great. I think they sound better than my wife’s AirPods Gen 2 easily. There is plenty of bass and treble. There is no EQ in the settings or on the app they have been pre set to sound the way they do. But in all honesty I can’t say that this is a bad thing. The 18 hour of battery life is at a volume of around 50%. I’m one that likes volume at 100%. I listened to my Beats at full volume for 5 hours and still had 64% battery so that’s still pretty good. I would’ve easily gotten 12 hours out of them at full volume. So the case doesn’t have a battery in it. That’s fine getting that many hours of listening time. Plus if you have an iPhone 15 or soon to be higher you can charge them straight from your phone. I know it stinks to have to carry a cable around but in all honesty not too many people are gonna be listening to earbuds for more than 12-18 hours a day. Besides they charge in an about hour anyway. There is no noise cancelation on these buds. They do fit tightly in the ear without any discomfort and do a pretty good job of isolating the sound. I have a window AC unit on my living room that rattles and I couldn’t hear it over my music at all. I’ve also worn them outside around a roadway and heard no traffic. So they do a decent job of noise isolation.I have a pair of Beats Flex that I gave $50 for at Walmart a few years ago and they are still going strong. They sound great still after all these years of abuse. I wear them doing yard work. The Beats Solo Buds sound better than the flex and if they are built as good then they should last a long time. I am not regretting my purchase and would recommend these Beats to anyone who wants a decent pair of earbuds for less than $100.

0/10. Absoluetly not.

Absolutely not. Please don’t waste your time and money buying these. They are sound ao horrible, just like the bad reviews say. Idk how people can lie and give these 5 stars because THEY ARE NOT GOOD AT ALL. There is zero bass, not loud, has static when you put the song louder, the louder the more static, doesn’t sound clear. I can’t believe “beats” would even go this low and sell such a poor quality product. I would be embarassed to have such a bad product out in the market SPECIALLY FOR $80. It’s a literal scam. There is wayyyy better earbuds in the market for $80. If it weren’t for the logo, these would be AT MOST dollar tree quality. I wouldn’t use these even if they were free. That’s how terrible they sound.

Now I have to waste more time going to exchange them for louder beats with more features . $30 JBL are louder than this . Absolutely terrible DO NOT BELIEVE THE GOOD REVIEWS LIKE I DID

Good if tips fit your ears!
7 September 2024

Ok, they supply four extra small, small, medium and large. Trouble is, large for me is still slightly too small. My 2nd Gen earpods pro fit fine on large, ok they cost a lot more. But far more generous on tip sizing. Will try a third party tip. No charge light on case, so it's guesswork if fully charged...Tip, you have to twist these into ears, after insertion, but for me still no go. Contacted Apple, no further size available. No charging lead in box. You do get a Beats sticker, prefer they spent another couple of cents on ear tips for all size ears, as they say on packaging ear tip sizes matter.

[Rewarded Review] Beats Solo Buds punch above their weight
23 June 2024

Coming in at just under $80, I thought that I would be disappointed with these. To my surprise, they feature rich, full, and fun sound. They have a decent amount of bass with mids and highs that shine. The case is a gorgeous, transparent red that looks dope in all lighting conditions. Beats leaned into a lightweight polycarbonate material for the case, which has a very satisfying click, as it closes. With the earbuds in the case, these come in at just over 33 grams. Thus, they are uber lightweight and portable. I’ve been pleasantly surprised by the Beats Solo Buds, and they’ve earned a spot in my headphone/IEMs/earbuds rotation.

Their portability is a significant advantage, making them a convenient choice for on-the-go music enthusiasts. It's true, the absence of an **IP rating** for water and sweat resistance, along with the lack of noise canceling or spatial audio features, might be seen as downsides. However, these omissions are somewhat mitigated by the buds' affordability. The removal of the indicator light, a seemingly small feature we've all come to rely on, is a curious choice by Apple. It's akin to a phone without a camera; it functions, but something feels amiss. Now, users must rely on their phones to check the battery life and confirm if the charging cable is properly connected. For iPhone users, this information is conveniently displayed via an on-screen card, while Android users can find it in the app.Despite these quirks, the Beats Solo Buds strike a balance between **size, sound quality, and price** that many will find just right. For those seeking alternatives, the Soundcore Space A40 offers a similar size, more overall battery life, a wireless charging case, and comparable sound quality with a bit more sub-bass impact. They also boast a comfortable fit with ANC and an actual **IPX4 rating**, all at a price point that's often under $50 on sale, available in black, blue, and white—all of which are quite stylish. Ultimately, the Beats Solo Buds stand out for their portability and sound quality, making them a worthy consideration for those prioritizing these features within this price range.

[Rewarded Review] Motorbike music is a go!
2 July 2024

For me, these earbuds had a very, very specific purpose. My purpose was to have music that could fit underneath my full facial motorcycle helmet. For that mission, they are successful. Some earbuds I had from Amazon, had much better fuller sound. By comparison, I think that these beats earbuds sound almost tiny and, lacking sound. I don’t really think anything is overly pronounced, certainly not the bass, the treble is not shrill, but certainly comes out more than anything mid tone and bass. For $80, I expected much fuller sound, especially from a company reputable for making base lovers happy. I do like that it comes with different size your pieces. But the win for me is I have earbuds that fit inside my helmet for motorcycle riding.

22 June 2024

For $79.99, i wasnt expecting much. But what i was expecting was a bit more effort from an Apple product. First of all, the packaging was cheap to begin with. The fit and finish was subpar at best. The charging case, while small and compact, felt real cheap and flimsy. Of coarse, no sound cancelling at rhis price point. The app features were non-existent. Can't customize the sound to your liking. Plus these have no Bass whatsoever. This product must of been rushed. Lets hope the upcoming New Pill Bluetooth Speaker doesnt disappoint me like these. Do Not Buy!

Let’s set expectations to realistic. These are clearly entry level earbuds. The price would indicate so. These aren’t meant to stand toe to toe with “premium” tiers. They dont have ANC & Transparency modes. They are wireless earbuds at its core. These remind me of the sony wf-cf500/700 series; case & sound & price point. Complaints on these solo buds seem to stem from these two categories (case build & sound) The case is the smallest of the beats line. The powerbeats pro case is huge in comparison. The case is very light with strong magnets keeping the lid shut. Transparent Red is the clear winner in my opinion. [Rewarded Review] Very Solid Budget Headphones
25 June 2024

I purchased these headphones on an enployee accommodation. For the price that I paid, these may be the best value for dollar headphones I’ve purchased. $79.99 is honestly more than I’d be confortable paying, but if you can catch them on sale, they well outperform most, if not all, headphones in their price range. In terms of sound quality: volume is an A+. The high volume range more than makes up for the lack of active noise cancellation. The audio quality is very crisp. The bass is slightly disappointing, but no less than I expected for the price. I’m in love with the small case, but I could see why others would be unhappy with it. Overall, really good budget option.
