Beauty of Joseon Apricot Blossom Peeling Gel

This is an upgraded version of the original Apricot Peeling Gel. It is formulated without EO, Parabens, artificial colours or fragrance and is marketed as suitable for sensitive skin. It contains a fair few fruit extracts, Camellia Sinensis, Rice Extract, Houttuynia Cordata and Plum Flower Water—so while it has no added fragrance, it has a natural, sweet fruit scent. This review if for Beauty of Joseon Dynasty repair serum. As usual I cant find it on Influenster. - Mmmh. I was a little bit disappointed. This serum has such high reviews. The packaging is sublime, the scent is fantastic. My skin seems to LOVE Ginseng products so maybe I had high expectations. The formula is thick, a little sticky. It nourished A LOT. That is for sure. Very plumping. But as per "repair".. i dont know. I have other products that do a better job in evening the skin tone and texture. MAYBE this is something that would work better in Winter. I will give it a shot when gets colder. But I dont know this is something I will be buying again...

This is an incredible SPF. I have tried about fifteen different sunscreens since January, and this one is the only SPF I’ve repurchased! It is light weight yet incredibly moisturizing and it melts right into the skin without a white cast. My boyfriend is African American and has also been using this with no white cast on his complexion either which is awesome. It wears really well under makeup- just be sure to allow it to dry and sink into the skin for like seven minutes before applying your makeup! 10/10 highly recommend!

This is my first cellulose type peeling gel and I really like it - how it applies, the sensation of the cellulose as it balls up, that it's not strongly scented or too strong for my sensitive skin. Apply it to clean dry skin. As you massage your face in gentle circular motions the opaque serum-like gel starts to form small balls of soft fibre. This is not a layer of skin coming off!! Lol. Then rinse off with warm water and continue with your skin routine.

I don't know that this really does anything. The whole gimmick with the product pilling up as you rub your skin to fool you into thinking that it's your skin that's doing it has the unfortunate side effect of making me suspect that's all this product does, like it's covering for not having any real peeling effect on your actual skin. Maybe that's not true and this does actually work, but I'm not seeing any effects yet. Also I feel like the product pills up too quickly, so I hardly get any time at all to scrub my face with it - shouldn't it have more contact with my skin? How can it actually do anything if it's on my face for less time than a face wash, let alone a peeling mask?

About the product: I did not really like the consistency, it was a clear gel, and the smell was not very nice and it smelt like a hint of rubbery chemical gel. However, even though the scent was not overpowering it wasn't to my liking. In terms of the actual product you have to be very careful not to go overboard when you are applying it because it will be as if you are just rubbing gel in and it won't pill up. This gel reminds me of the body shop's vitamin C peel that I ended up not liking due to the same problems. Rinses fully unlike others I’ve tried

I have been on a quest for a peeling gel that actually rinses all the way off. I have very sensitive skin and I can’t shave my face with a dermaplane without extreme irritation, so peeling gels wound up sticking to the tiny hairs I can’t even feel much less see, and getting caught in my eyebrows, too. Which is gross and weird, right? Well! This actually rinses all the way off. Hooray! Holy grail found.

Where have you been all my life!

I don't think I can look at peeling gels the same after this one. I've tried quite a few and this one is the only one to be extremely gentle while efficiently removing dead skin. This product doesn't need pressure, just lightly glide your fingers on your skin and you'll see it work it's magic (don't go aggressively rubbing at your face, as your skin will get irritated if you do and it won't be the product's fault). A little goes a long way, so I'd say don't put too much at once, and work in areas, as peeling gels in general tend to dry out quickly if you let them set. Definitely repurchasing ! Little tip: When the little pebbles come out white and your skin feels smooth, it's probably time to stop rubbing to avoid over-exfoliation.

This is a great and mild peeling gel~! Only a bit is needed weekly so a bottle should last up to 4 or 5 months. (At the very least, I'm very comfortable with how much I have left after 2 months of use. And I'm the type to be heavy handed sometimes.)I'm not someone who regularly exfoliates or knows why this step is so important.
