Parcel received in good shape. Sound tested on interface and it's seems working good. But as I sound tests the Figure 8 polar pattern, the left side sound more low full voice and the right side sound thinner voice. That sound seems not right to me.

I needed a microphone for a conference that would plug into my laptop, but did not want one solely for that purpose, so a USB mic was not my preference. Musician's Friend steered me to this Behringer mic. The price was right--especially for a condenser mic--and with the appropriate (Behringer) interface, it was plug-and-play into the laptop. But once I started using it, I found that it was much more versatile than that. It has great sound reproduction, and I really like that it has three fields: omni-, cardiod, and figure eight. I was able to pick up speakers from over fifteen feet away, and the quality was much better than boundary mics I have used. As a figure eight, I can add ambience and resonance to my recordings with less mic-ing.So I am really pleased with ... MoreI needed a microphone for a conference that would plug into my laptop, but did not want one solely for that purpose, so a USB mic was not my preference. Yes I have sung a couple of songs on it, one a brand new song and the sound is very clear and crisp, but deep rich base and clear highs, very sensitive especially since I have Beringer mixers anyway BUT it is shock and wind touchy. My old Sony mic had a wind sock on it and certain words that put out wind pulses weren't a problem, I have to sing below this mic to avoid the wind pulse into the mic. Otherwise I am very satisfied with it. Oh yes and I love all the switch gadgets on the mic too!!

The microphone does a very clear recording of the voice with virtually no noise at all. Very sensitive to even very low voice. Very good response for the vocal range. Have tested this only with the cardioid profile now. The built in noise reduction switch is very useful.
I was looking for a Studio Type Microphone for adding to my Icom IC746-PRO in my Ham-Radio Shack, but didn't want to go to the expense of a HEIL PR40. This Mic in my opinion is equal if not better than what I was looking for. Being a Condenser Type Mic it requires 48VDC to power it, but that's not a problem as I have a Behringer XENYX mixer to supply the Phantom 48V. All reports so far have been unsolicited "CRYSTAL CLEAR AUDIO" "AUDIO COULDNT BE IMPROVED", I have removed my standard Icom SM20 Desk mike and now use the Behringer C3 Exclusivly. Cant recommend Highly enough.
Well made and well presented natural-sounding microphone with good flat frequency response. A cut above what you'd expect and this price point; the only downside is a little bit of background hiss at high gain. it isn't the most sensitive microphone I've ever encountered, but that said for close miking it is excellent, and I suspect it would handle the SPLs in live use. I've not tried the figure of eight pattern but the Omni and cardioid patterns work well.
Nicely packaged and a good solid feel to it.I did back to back recordings using the C3, NW700 SCD and Shennheiser MD 427 dynamic. The C3 has the warmth of the Sennheiser and a much more clarity and higher output so the preamp isn't working as hard, likewise it is much warmer than the NW700 but the output is not quite as high. All in all I'm very happy with it and am looking forward to the next recording session on the 18th of December
Looking for a really low cost, low end studio mike, this is it, but with limitations. You can't beat the features. Comes with 10db attenuation switch, hi pass switch, plus multi pattern for around $100. Got mine new for $65. The bad: frequency response is around 70-17000 so you don't have the highs. You can hear the difference compared to low end audio technica At2020. This mike would be good for broadcasting, announcing, & other non vocal applications or mid range instrument recording such as guitar, snare drums.
Strange is my description for this little microphone because I don't know of another like it! It is a small diaphragm mike, despite being side-address. Actually, a very small electric element, not that there's anything wrong with that. Some of the most accurate (and expensive) mikes out there have the same setup. I bought a pair of these C3s as spot mikes in live recording (choirs and such) and the multi-pattern feature is a definite plus for this. I know of no other microphone -- at least at this price range -- with the same feature set. It's also handy as a studio mike on acoustic instruments. The figure-8 setting is excellent in that role, surprisingly flat response with good side rejection.Quibbles: a tad noisy, but that's to be expected with the very small ... MoreStrange is my description for this little microphone because I don't know of another like it! The fitting are mostly plastic and could degrade over time. No problems so far though, I would point out. There is a foam wind screen inside the mesh head-basket that will also degrade eventually and it's not so easy getting it out. I opened up the mike and removed it right away (there goes the warranty!) which improved the sound a bit too.
I am not a professional sound person but I have a good enough ear to know when something sounds good. This Mic sounds great especially for the cost and I found the multiple pickup settings to be very handy when tuning the mic for what I need to use it for (I was not sure what setting was going to work the best for the room I was in). I am using this as a mic for picking up ambient sound in a church sanctuary. this is for video that is transmitted through the building during service as well as recorded for internet usage. The intent was to pick up the choir and the other instruments on the balcony. at first I used the mic in omnidirectional mode but found that organ simply drowned our everything ells. so being able to switch to a cardioid pattern was the trick I ... MoreI am not a professional sound person but I have a good enough ear to know when something sounds good.
