A good quality power board. Provides protection for network cables to the computer. The MOVs provide solid protection and there's good insurance coverage too. Warranty is 2 years as well.

I wanted to buy the best 8 port power board available for my studio. Unfortunately no power boards appear to be manufactured specifically with pro audio in mind. The Belkin 4000 is a consumer AV board and excels in that capacity.

I've had a non-pro Belkin 8 way surge protector for over 10 years now, I thought this "pro" version would be a good upgrade to protect my new tv and av receiver, however, it keeps shutting down and restarting itself, and when it does work it emits an annoyingly loud click every 10 minutes. I've had the house fully tested by an electrician, and the house has an almost brand new power box, yet the surge protector still does this. I reverted back to the lesser model 10 year old belkin protector and no issues with that.
There are many so called surge protection power boards on the market but the vast majority offer little or no protection. As a mininum you require 1,500 joules of surge protection; this board provides a massive 2142 joules. Not only does it provide excellent surge and spike protection ( Spike damage can also be very serious ) it also protects against over and under voltage, EMI and RFI filtration. lt protects all of your components via their AC plugs but it also protects your antenna from lightning strikes ( Such strikes are surprisingly common ) it protects your Foxtel receiver via its co-ax leads and any other component that uses coax leads with F59 connectors and protects any phones lines and Ethernet connections against voltage strikes and surges and spikes to ... MoreThere are many so called surge protection power boards on the market but the vast majority offer little or no protection. I own a few of these now and they’ve saved my equipment a number of times. The only downside is the Ethernet protection is limited to 100Mbps throughput, so if you need 1Gbps protection you’ll need to do that separate. Very happy with this product, good quality and works very well.
Would have rated it 5 stars had each socket had their own on/off switch instead of having to turn the entire unit on/off or disconnecting plugs. However, it's still a great product. Thanks Belkin.
Product well packaged with clear instructions on installation and use, not possible to test effectiveness. Would benefit by having some/all outlets with individual switches so can isolate connections without switching off whole board. Current design provides for horizontal wall mount, vertical wall mount would be useful.
Ive had Belkin products before & always felt they were a good product, so when I was looking for another surge protector I wanted to buy another Belkin! When I looked on the website, I found what I wanted, then checked if I could get it cheaper & I did here. So thanks
