Simple to attach to my phone & T.V. 1st one didn't work but contacted seller & they replaced. No real instructions (probably on line but I didn't take time to look). Hit Spectrum app on phone & put T.V. to HDMI & kept "fiddling" with settings & suddenly Cable program from phone appeared on T.V. WOW -full screen & clear & perfect! Proud of myself & thrilled with my success. Nothing else needed but this boxed item & an HDMI cable compatible with your phone type. I have a Galaxy Samsung S9 & it is perfect!As you can see, I am certainly not a "techie" & if I can get this to work without instructions, then anyone can!!!

Picked up this awesome adapter today for my Lenovo X1 Yoga Gen 4 laptop and 38" ultrawide. As currently I couldn't go any higher than 30Hz @ 3840x1600 (native resolution of the monitor) via the laptops HDMI port.After plugging in this adapter (just plug in and play, no software was required) I was able to unlock the full potential of my monitor via HDMI and now I'm running at a full 85Hz. So I'm very happy with result as I wasn't sure if I would get more than 60Hz as this resolution is close to 4K.The quality of the product seems good to, the adapter doesn't seem to get hot and the 2 warranty for that added piece of mind. Thank you Belkin, you have a happy customer here. :)

This product is a genuine lifesaver. I shattered the screen on my phone a while back. While I was able to power the device on/off, the display was wrecked, nothing but black. I was due for an upgrade and could not justify the expense of fixing the screen solely to recover the contents of the phone. I like the style of this adapter because it incorporates a short length of cable to the part that you plug your HDMI cable into. That’s because the adapters without a cable can end up being subjected to a lot of stress depending upon where you put your laptop. Any stress to the adapter is also stressing your port, and that’s not good. That’s why I like this design better.I also like this design because of the pass through charging port that is included. This allows you to charge your laptop using the same adapter that you’re using to power the external monitor. I don’t have a full 4K external monitor, but I do have a 32” QHD monitor, and this adapter easily handles it, and it looks great! Great picture quality! Are use this to connect my sons chrome book to our main TV in the living room. For virtual school so he can actually have a wider screen. And see more of his schoolwork. I was pleasantly surprised; it was crystal clear response rate was great. My son was able to do a split screen and see all of his assignments plus keep his Google meet on. Instead of using the tiny chrome book screen this allowed us to upgrade him to a 60 inch screen without much hassle. Great little device to have during this hybrid learning model of schooling.
I have an S8 plus and I recently went snowboarding in 10 below degrees weather. At the summit my phone was unresponsive and then BLACKED OUT!! MY PHONE LITERALLY WAS FROZEN! It was still on and working, but no visual display. An employee at the store told me you should try the usb-c to hdmi to see if you could project the screen to a monitor since he have tried that with his own iPhone. Once i did that I was able to see my screen and unlock it as it was still responsive to touch. From there I could back up my info. The one tiff i had was that i notice it was a lag in display and touch once connected. Overall i was able to do what i needed to do which was unlock my phone to back up my pictures and things.
I bought this so I could mirror my note8 to the tv to watch youtube videos while traveling in my RV. This would allow me to use my phone data (unlimited) instead of having to connect the tv to hotspot. (no you cant cast without using a hotspot).The first few times I used it the product worked great. After a week the usb-c connection started getting sensitive to touch and would disconnect the device. It slowly got worse and about 2 months it stopped working. I was using a 4K HDMI cable and still use this cable on my Mac to tv, so it was not that cable.Spend the money and buy the Samsung adapter, I hear it's much better. UNI makes a nice sleek cable to the I like.
Having a Macbook pro 13 inch does has its limitations and one is bing the screen is smaller and no HDMI slot on the laptop.So instead of fishing out more money on a big laptop I made the investment of using the usb type c to hdmi which Belkin more budget friendly to your pockets.Connecting the Belkin Type-C to HDMI is very simple and my laptop picked it right up away.Also had wireless keyboard and mouse which made it so much simpler especially working from home. Connecting the Belkin Type-C to HDMI to my television was definitely worth it. Definitely would recommend if you are looking to make your Apple laptop have a bigger screen view with the help of Belkin Type-C to HDMI.

It really doesn't get much simpler than this. You plug it into your laptop and then to whatever attachment you are using. I tried this adapter with a couple of items. A secondary monitor and also an external modem. It is small enough to throw in my laptop bag and take with me to the office or where ever I may need to go when presenting. There isn't anything to dislike about this product. Just plug in and go. Belkin has always been a reliable name in technology products in my life and I will always return to them in the future.
