Great affordable charger when you’re caught in a pinch, but not quite enough to be a fail safe. Used this when travelling and found with heavy cell phone usage it was useful in keeping my phone going, but the sheer amount of time spent on Maps, texting, google, etc., left me needing even more charge to last the entire day. Good for keeping your phone going but go for the higher model if you need more juice!

It feels good to hold with no hard corners or edges. This can easily be stowed in as something as small as your jean pockets, which is another benefit to it's form. As some other products seem to be going away from this design in favor of thicker/shorter (stubby) designs, making them harder to carry the device in your pocket. This simple design proves to be of an advantage than any other because of this. The device is incredibly light at 4.6 ounces. The combination of size/shape and weight translates as something very portable. When I first received the product, it was 3/4 charged. It took approximately an hour and a half to top it off. I also let the product sit for a couple of weeks on the shelf with no activity and plugged it in to see if there was any drain as some inferior products will have. Fortunately, it was still topped off. This may not seem like a big deal, but quality power banks should hold their full charge for at least a month. Unfortunately, I did not have enough time as of this writing to really test this, but after a couple of weeks, most inferior products will show some sign of battery drain. Fortunately for this product I did not see any. I still recommend checking the charge level prior to any outing to ensure you have enough power for your intended device. As for portable power, which is it's primary purpose... 5000 mAh is good enough to charge a single modern smartphone at least once. This product does it well. I have not had any issues or concerns with the charging and recharging itself, but the lack of power/mAh this device can store is only on-par. For reference, a power bank should at least have the ability to charge your intended device once, which most modern smartphones require ~3300 mAh. This device can do that easily. That is my personal baseline. This is my primary reason for my GOOD/4-Star rating.Summary:If you're looking for an "everyday", incredibly light and highly portable power bank, you simply can't go wrong with this product. It has enough portable power to fully charge any smartphone up at least once (with power to spare), lightweight, and comfortable enough to fit in your pocket... you really can't beat this product. If you need to carry a portable power bank with you all the time, I would consider this a good choice. As with any review, they can be subjective and can be based on many factors, so your intended use should be considered. In this case, I would prefer a higher mAh capacity (preferably 7000 - 10000 mAh) in order to have at least two full charges on my smart device, as I am always with my family that may need a device charged. If you don't have this consideration, you can argue this would be a full 5-Star review. No price comparison or device comparison was considered as well. This review was based on it's own merits. Please keep this in mind when considering this review.

Great Portable Power

I think this power bank strikes the right balance between size and power. It's smaller than my iPhone 7 making it portable enough to slip in your back pocket, probably slip into a small purse, or toss in a pocket of your backpack. It's lighter than another power bank I used to have. Aesthetically, it's got a nice matte black look with an almost rubberized texture. The one thing I would have liked from this is a built-in charging cord so I don't have to carry both the battery and the cords around. Performance wise, it charged my phone from completely dead to 100% in approximately 2 hours. I was disappointed that when I received the power bank it was only half charged. All in all, it' a good buy.

Great Product

I purchased this to take on my trip to Japan recently! The belkin brand is known for high quality product thus the reason I payed a few extra dollars more for this one over the no name competitors. I’m glad I chose the belkin because it performed flawlessly and being that I had many devices with me every day like Phone, portable wifi and headphones that it was used quite often! It is compact and fit perfect in my backpack without taking up little to no needed space. Highly recommended!!

Great Value/Long Lasting

for $30 its held up like boss. Had this bad boy since may. It charges fast and it holds up over time and elements. I’ve used it camping, left it out in the elements, tossed it around, dropped it - stepped on it, basically it’s durable and it’s reliable. it’s been half a year and it takes a bit longer to charge now itself but it still pushes out power like a beast. actually prefer it over one i bought specifically for longer camping trips that was twice as much. All that being said, if you only have $30 on a power bank (like me), it’s a good choice. when and if you can make the investment, spend the $50-$80 more for a Jump Starter/Power Bank. Usually for under $100 you can get a 10,000mAh, 12v, 1000lifespan jump start power bank that will jump your car 1000 times ... Morefor $30 its held up like boss. Had this bad boy since may. Again, I don’t have an extra even $5 right now so i’m glad i bout this guy for the great price bc it was worth the money.

Incredible Power Duration with Pocket Power
29 August 2017

For the past 3 days My Pocket Power 5K has been attached to my iPhone 6 Plus. My iPhone was 95% charged when I attached the fully charged Pocket Power to it. I turned on Bluetooth and streamed music constantly to my Sonos System for 24 hours. Looking at my reserve power, my iPhone was 100% and all 4 power indicators were on. I turned my iPhone flashlight on and continued to stream music as well as email, FaceTime, Facebook, messages etc. At 48, my iPhone was 100% and I had 3 power indications on. I turned off the flashlight and continued streaming music. After 60 hours, my iPhone was 100% and I had 2 power indicators on. At 72 hours I still had 2 power indicators on. Just received this good looking 5000mah battery. As is the case in a post-iDevice world, packaging is impressive. Nice and neat, easy to open and showcases the product well. All parts held securely inside, including the battery and the short (8”) micro USB cable.Battery itself is encased in a smooth silver plastic case. Nicely rounded edges means it goes comfortably in a pocket. Charge indicator LEDs and button are located at the end of a long side, next to the short side that houses both a standard USB (power out) and micro-USB (for charging). Openings are cleanly finished, and the supplied cable feels secure in each socket. This brings me to my only complaint so far - and it applies to many, many such devices - that I have to keep two cables with it. I’m charging an iDevice with a Lightning connector, not one with a micro-USB such as an Android or B.B. It would be great if an adapter was included for micro-USB to Lightning. I’d pay a couple of extra dollars for this. The battery came with a 2/4 charge (2 of four light green LEDs light when the button is pressed). Immediately went to work charging my iPhone 6.Will be charging to full tonight and will update further.

Long Usage
20 March 2020

I have been using this product for over a year now and here are my thoughts. I think that it is a great reliable product that you can depend on because of several reasons. One of the reasons being that it can perform for long periods of time without having to be recharged. This helps whenever my phone is out of battery and my other electronics too. Because of the battery capacity, it holds I am able to charge my whole family's devices. Those are my reasons why this is a great product.

Slim, sleek charger

Belkin battery pocket power is by far one of the best chargers i’ve used. Slim lightweight and can easily fit into your pocket. Battery check is one of the best indicator to let you know how much juice left. I’ve been using it for several days and i do have faith in Belkin products as almost all my house is wemo products from ages and they are very reliable. Its very light weight for a battery pack with 5,000 mAh storage capacity. My iphone 7plus charges extremely fast, the only downside is i had to buy a SHORT lightning cable as it only comes with 6in USB to micro USB. You still can use Apple cable but it will be kinda long. Useful gadget

Bought the above as an add on when away or out and about to charge phone or iPad. It came very quickly and is very easy to use. Leightweight and the same size as iPhone. Only one major complaint, I had asked in store whether the cable that came with it was for iPhone, and was told yes. It came with a cable for android phone. But as the cable is only about three inches long, I can use an ordinary apple cable to plug in and re charge, which if you are carrying both is probably better. It would have been better if there had been cables for both sorts of phones. Unless mine was packed with wrong one, but as it was all wrapped, difficult to tell. Overall an useful item for holidays.
