I have never owned another adventure helmet. However, I'm a very long time Bell user. They have always fit well. This helmet is no exception. I use it Offroad and it does very well with goggles. I also commute daily with it. Maybe because I haven't compared it to other adventure helmets, but I feel like it handles very well at highway speeds, and I don't feel that noise is an issue. After a couple of weeks, I noticed that the handle on the nose piece vent had fallen off. I contacted Bell and they sent me a complete replacement.Bell Helmets fit my head very well. Your fit may vary depending on head shape and type. I'm very happy with this helmet, and have put many miles in both Offroad and highway/street.

Purchased my first on-off and realized none of my helmets matched, and thats how I found this. First off, Movatik's deal I got was incredible. I paid so little, I'm not quite sure they made any money. It appears the color I picked may have gotten removed, as I don't see it anymore, so maybe that's why, but it's the one in the picture above, Black and Safety yellow on the bottom and I love it.I am a huge fan of full face, and this is the perfect mix between Dirt Bike and street use.It pulls a little when you lift your face up, but thats expected with a visor like this, and you have your visor tipped down for the sun most of the time anyway.I will always purchase Bell helmets as they have the crash replacement policy, so if you ever bump your noggin, the last ... Call them up, and theyll hook you up with a killer discount on the website on a new helmet. I fell on my face one time, minor laceration on my leg, road rash and scrapes on the front of my helmet, but I really don't think there was much of an impact, and without any questions, Bell gave me a 50% discount code.Downside seems like spending the 150$ on an auto-tinting visor seems like the only way to go, but I haven't made that investment yet.Overall, I am super happy with my purchase at Movatik and my Bell helmet.

I needed a new helmet for dualsport riding, my Fox V2 was a great lid but lacking a visor and being over 5 years old it was time for it to be exclusively for trail riding.I've put only 200km on the Bell now and initial impression is great.Ventilation is good, it's not an MX helmet but it flows nicely. That also means there is a fair amount of wind noise and it's not going to keep you completely dry in heavy rain. I have not tested that yet though.Other things that I really like about the lid so far: It has the ECE cert, which is a non-negotiable for myself, and in my opinion superior to Snell (for bike use on the street). It also looks fantastic any way you wear it. Removing the visor does not mess up the lines at all, and while using googles instead of the ... It also looks fantastic any way you wear it. Removing the visor does not mess up the lines at all, and while using googles instead of the lens it looks just like an MX lid. I picked up the dark silver mirror lens to use on brighter days and it is excellent too. The aerodynamics with the visor are also better than I expected, at least around 80-100kmh.Complaints: I think the stock cheekpads (35mm) are too thin, if you have a narrow face the helmet will swivle in high winds. I needed to get the 45mm ones to fix this. When you remove the visor, plastic pucks are supplied to hold the lens on where the visor used to be, they are somewhat large and unsightly. I also feel the lens could have a more positive seal against the gasket, it seems kind of loose. This is the same for the stock clear lens and the dark silver one. I will upload pics when I get a chance.Overall, would buy again. In fact, my next MX lid will be a Bell too. Only reason for not 5/5 stars is the cheekpads fitment.

I bought this helmet as a beginner to ADV riding and so far have only worn it during my MSF course. At first, I as worried that it felt a little too snug but as I wore it through the 2 days of riding the course, the internal padding seemed to conform to me and was extremely comfortable to wear by the second day. I know there are better helmets out there, but I think this helmet is a good start for anyone just getting started on their riding adventures. I didn't notice any issues with the ventilation albeit the only open and close option is in the front on this one. We did ride our course in the cold and condensation is a minor issue to be aware of. Opening or closing the vent in the front didn't seem to help much however, cracking the face shield open did the trick ... The MX9 is a nice entry level helmet with some good features.Pros- Great price point- Great fit for an intermediate oval melon. Never had any hotspots.- Vision field is pretty good (yes visor has distortion at bottom as part of design never bothered me tbh).- Great visor options. Transitions, smoke and clear all available and reasonably priced.- MIPS - enough said.- Vented well.Cons- Noisey as heck- Fixed vents let rain in- Visor to helmet fitment poor (moderate rain showers causes visor to flood)- Helmet design barely accommodates installation of comms base plate (helmet is thick right where the comms base plate needs to go)With all that said the MX9 is a good starting point for any ADV rider. Decided not to keep after trying on multiple times, and wanting it to work. Felt the shell was undersized for a size large. Felt like my chin was either poking out or had it so far tilted forward the back of my head felt exposed. The peak in the lowest position didn't seem to block sunlight without tipping my head too far down. Didn't like the front grip point to open the visor, nor the thick bottom to the visor. Good construction, great price, like that it had mips, like that you can order an auto tint shield, and a liner for cold weather but in the end the comfort wasn't there. I've been spoiled by the comfort of more expensive helmets. However there hasn't been any updates in design on the XD4 which made me want to try the Bell.
I bought this helmet after wearing my old helmet out, and it was a great choice. I wanted a ventilated dual sport helmet that was comfortable and snug. It was important that it was safe, and with a DOT and ECE rating I feel confident in it. The helmet seems to be built well, and I can confidently say that it does make it low quality, it seems very well built. The helmet does have a vent in the chin bar, but there is little difference between it being open or closed. Most of the air and noise just goes under the chin bar instead. I heard complaints about it being a noisy helmet, but I don't think it is too bad at all. I did notice at 30 degrees Fahrenheit that the visor started to fog a little. I opted to swap this visor with one with pinlock for the winter and have ... MoreI bought this helmet after wearing my old helmet out, and it was a great choice. Overall this seems like a great lightweight and safe dual sport helmet and I highly recommend it.
I really like the fit of this helmet. I did go to a store and try one on to get the size right before I ordered from Revzilla. I like the added safety of the mips system. I also really like the option of using the face shield or goggles. This helmet just feels "right". I use a Shoei for my road helmet and I've never tried a Bell before but the mips feature made me look twice. The only negative I have is that this helmet is noisy for any road use. I do ride a dual-sport and primarily drive it off-road. The airflow through this helmet is great and it will likely be a cool helmet on hot days, but with the sacrifice of a quiet experience on the road.
The fit & finish of the helmet is very good. The vents and visor all have a nice, solid feel to them. The padding is comfortable. I was able to install my Cardo Pactalk Bold on it with no problems, but had use the sticky mount rather than a clamp under the edge like you can on some other helmets. It's not as quiet as my Nolan, but it's not too bad. I wear earplugs all the time anyway. The opening for the face shield is huge, and really opens up your viewing with is a nice plus.I also bought the extra transitions face shield, which is pricey but absolutely fantastic. That's a whole other review.Only two minor complaints:1) The visor is too short to be of much use. The edge of the eye opening in the helmet blocks as much sun as the visor, and the visor caused ... That's a whole other review.Only two minor complaints:1) The visor is too short to be of much use. The edge of the eye opening in the helmet blocks as much sun as the visor, and the visor caused quite a bit of buffeting at highway speeds at least on my bike. I'm sure that's a function of your height, windshield and several other things so YMMV. I took off the visor and am fine without it, and it goes on and off easily.2) I wear glasses, and the side pads don't allow much room for them. Thinner frames might not be as bad, but the helmet grabs the temples of the glasses and then the glasses move around with the helmet.
I'm not 100% thrilled. Thinking more of a 3.5, so I rounded up to 4 stars. The fit is ok, the pads are tight on my cheeks where I can't close my mouth (so the right chipmunk feel) but I still feel like I can move the helmet around too much. Also when you turn your head sideways at highway speeds, watch out, you're gonna catch air and your head is a sail. The peak does nothing other than add fashion to the helmet too - you block the sun with the edge of the helmet before the peak works, so no function and you get more wind issues. I did the upgrade on the face shield with the transition darkening and it's awesome, so if this helmet works for you spend the cash. The construction feels solid but this just doesn't work for me.
