Defect in painted backing, poor quality control

I bought this and of course checked it before install, unfortunately there was an obvious defect in the painted backing. Due to time constraints and not being able to wait a week for a replacement I had to make do. I've bought 2 of these, the other was fine, and if you're not in a hurry I think these panels are overall good value. The other one looks great.

Good splashback that does not cost a lot

Great splashback and easy to cut to size. And all you need is silicon to install it on the wall. It highlights the kitchen.

Just look at it wrong and it cracks

I brought 2 of these and they are quite expensive for what they are. With careful marking, flat surfaces and pre drilling holes both have broken when cutting with a hole say in the easiest of fashions. For the trouble I should have tiled. For the price expensive products are supposed to make things easier, not this product however.

Brilliant Splash back - has brightened the room. Although, the panel arrived damaged - too large to return so I had to workaround the broken and chips edges.

Kitchen Transformation

The new splash backs transformed the kitchen from a dull space to a clean and fresh look. Also, added Led downlights and a glass finish to the bench top. Fabulous.

Looks good but beware
13 July 2022

We purchased this product when renovating our kitchen and it does look great ,but be very careful as although the front has a protective cover the back is a very thin coat of silver paint and has no protection. as a result it scratches easy and shows through.

Terrible product

Do not purchase this flimsy rubbish. 2 sheets split and cracked and it was cut professionally. I will be requesting a refund.

Very good

No issues, only due to COVID-19 I could not in person choose a colour, and the colour that I chose on line was not exactly what I was expecting. No issue with manufacturer though. All good.

not great, looks good if installed with precision and care

When Installed with "parfix maxi nails" no reaction occurs with the painted backing; parfix is a cheaper brand of adhesive with a much lower viscosity than the more expensive versions of liquid nails, however it can run down to the bottom edge when installing leaving a residue forever between the clear part of the acrylic and bench top, with a 3 metre length and runny adhesive it can turn into a nightmare fast - so I decided to use a better brand of adhesive "selleys liquid nails", it's stronger and thicker and did not run at all, but after a few minutes a new nightmare revealed itself! ..the high quality "selleys liquid nails" reacted with the silver painted backing and started to dissolve and bubble from the back of the acrylic panel. My advice would be to have a ... MoreWhen Installed with "parfix maxi nails" no reaction occurs with the painted backing; parfix is a cheaper brand of adhesive with a much lower viscosity than the more expensive versions of liquid nails, however it can run down to the bottom edge when installing leaving a residue forever between the clear part of the acrylic and bench top, with a 3 metre length and runny adhesive it can turn into a nightmare fast - so I decided to use a better brand of adhesive "selleys liquid nails", it's stronger and thicker and did not run at all, but after a few minutes a new nightmare revealed itself! ..the high quality "selleys liquid nails" reacted with the silver painted backing and started to dissolve and bubble from the back of the acrylic panel. My advice would be to have a perfectly flat wall freshly plasterboarded and use a clear silicone, the painted backing does not have a protective layer besides the film that initially prevents scratches so any solvent based product should be kept at a safe distance.
