Bellroy Transit Workpack 20L Midnight

This is mainly a work bag. I work in IT and manage a large operational contract. I carry a laptop, tablet, tech accessories, hand tools and a bit more. And I travel a lot. Functionality is the most important aspect to me. I need to be able to access and store my stuff easily without having to rummage about in the pack. The zip down front and well appointed pockets allows this. The construction is very high quality (replaces a back pack I've have for 25+ years) and it is comfortable to carry, either on your back, or over your shoulder. Looks good too. Looking at Belloy's range, I need more

Bag was too small for my frame. Gallantry wouldn't issue an exchange as the "original packaging" wasn't included - this was a wet, damaged cardboard box that showed up at my house. It was trash. Due to this bad return policy, I will not use Gallantry again, consider buying from a company with a better return policy.

The bag itself is just ok. The zippers tend to get caught up on some of the interior fabrics and it could use some additional interior organization.Gallantry's shipping on the other hand was abysmal. It took 23 days to reach me from Florida. Yes - I live in Hawaii so it might take a bit longer. On the other hand the length of time it took to get to me from the West Coast makes me think it was shipped by boat. That hasn't happened to me with an object of this size and weight for decades.The extremely long shipping time will make me very hesitant to order from Gallantry again.

Everything I dreamed of! I upgraded from a Herschel Little America (25L) to this during Black Friday sale (otherwise it just seems too pricey). At first I was worried that this being 20L would be too small for an over-packer like me, but I LOVEEE that everything lives neatly in its designated sleeve/pocket (since my last backpack don't have many pockets).I use it for university and work and I mostly just have a bunch of charging cables and personal items (wallet, keys, lipstick) that really deserves a safe spot to live in, and this backpack did not disappoint.The centre compartment is a bit smaller than I thought once I have a water bottle and umbrella in the side pockets. A good backpack!

I like the bellboy backpack it works really well and you can pack a lot in it!Two things that are a bit different is that it doesn’t always hang well when you’ve only got one strap on your shoulder, and if it’s fully packed it doesn’t often sit against your back.Neither are major drawbacks - it’s a fab bag, love that it’s waterproof and appreciate the separate laptop compartment.

Excellent design!

I've only had this for a month and have used it on two weekend trips. If you are an efficient packer, you really can use this bag for a weekend trip. It's a little smaller than I expected it to be, but incredibly well-designed, and kind of perfect for a two night trip. Seems durable, though we'll see how it holds up. The comments that others have made that the straps have a tendency to slip is true, but it hasn't really bothered me because they are also easy to adjust on the fly. I'm very pleased.

Excellent look and build quality. Disappointed by tight pockets.

The bag looks great, and the materials used feel very premium (black, baida ripstop version).Unfortunately, I found some of the pockets to be disappointing. The side pockets are way too small. Getting even a small water bottle in and out of those pockets is a hassle. Similarly, the top quick access pocket is too small and flat. If you put anything larger than a small phone in there, it gets really cramped.

The Bellroy Transit Backpack is a winning combination of clean design choices, comfort, and capacity. The central pocket is large, tailored for travel but suitable for edc in many circumstances. The elasticated straps can hold up papers or books, and comboned with the cushioned laptop compartment, I have been using this as my edc for work since purchasing. The zips are strong and water sealed, and the straps include stays to stop them dangling unnecessarily. The small number of main pockets has not limited the organisational ability with some small pockets in each sections allowing me to separate different items. Great Materials, Amazing Organization, Mediocre Carry

Pros: Beautiful design, high visibility interior, great organization with a top notch laptop section. I love the quick access pocket and full clamshell opening. Materials feel premium, and the bag offers pretty good weather resistance.Cons: Small, zippered water bottle pockets are versatile, but a tight fit for a 21 oz. Hydroflask. But it's biggest flaw is a fairly middling carry system. There's no sternum strap, no mesh or ridged backing to promote airflow, and the straps aren't the thickest. At 20L, it's probably good enough for most people, but it could have been better.Overall, it's still a great bag. However, I wish they kept the sternum strap and the foam ridged backing of the larger 28L Transit bag (which I also own).

I use the zippered side pockets to hold a water bottle and compact umbrella. The main compartment holds 1-2 days of clothes. I like that it opens fully to make packing easier. The straps are comfortable. The fabric is made from recycled materials and seems durable. I like the size of this work pack. The larger Transit packs were too large for my short frame.
