The fact is that even a streamlined modern lifestyle demands a lot of pocket furniture, and by the time you've lined up your phone, passport, wallet, earphones, e-reader, keys, sunnies and any other odds and ends, it's all starting to get a bit bulky. This one from Bellroy is a cut above the rest, with premium features like a soft-lined phone sleeve, water-resistant zips and a self-compressing gusset to keep it trimmed in. With three pockets (including a secret one on the back) and internal dividers, it's surprisingly spacious, and the webbing strap has a clever magnetic clasp thatās quick to fasten and release. It's constructed in a water-resistant recycled fabric that's tough enough to take you across the world and back again. Itās also the exact same thought process that a collective of designers and craftsmen had in the early 00ās in Bells Beach, a small coastal town along Australiaās Great Ocean Road. After a few years of tinkering and perfecting their design ā and a move to Melbourneās trendy Fitzroy district ā Bellroy was born; their impact on the everyday carry industry has been seismic. Now a respected brand with a dedicated global following, Bellroy have expanded their range to include backpacks, passport holders, pouches and a whole slew of wallets, from zip-up coin pouches to premium leather models. Despite that growth, these Aussies are keeping their feet on the ground - Bellroy is a certified B Corp, striving to reduce their impact on the environment as much as possible. From travel folios and wash bags to everyday backpacks and wallets, Bellroy exists to provide the very best carry items - invariably, their fusion of considered design and premium materials means that their products are exactly that. Price was steep but the product a worthy successor to my venerable Deuter 6L belt/sling bag that was, after a decade, finally being pensioned off was all that was promised with lots of useful pockets so I no longer have to search the bottom of the bag for small objects. The top zippered pocket is particularly useful because it takes my backup battery, cables and adapters. The internal sidepockets take my lightweight shopping bags. With better weather proofing through sealing zips and bag matierial, I have less problems with the wet. The belt adjustment is both easier and less likely to slip. My only gripe is that the colour is not what I imagined..."Basalt" turned out to be a dark blue and not a dark grey as I expected.

My brothers got different types of slings in the days and I really like any of theirs. I decided to get mine and this is my first one. Was looking for a causal but also a sling to be able to wear when I dress up a bit. This one fits the bill! Thought it would be too large but when you have it on it looks perfect. Was able to even fit my iPad Pro 11ā. Love everything about it and very comfortable to wear.

This is the best sling bag I have ever tried. I have previously tried slings by Timbuk2, Crumpler, STM, Chrome and a few others. The amount of padding and pockets on this make it amazing for the size and it's really comfortable as well. The only thing it's missing is a padded shoulder strap pad. I just used a Protec strap pad I already had. Still fine without but some might prefer to have that padding. Will buy the slightly larger version as well considering how much I like the design.

This is our second Bellroy purchase in span of two weeks. Purchased a rust small sling for my husband initially and then this black 9th sling. Bellroyās understanding for design is way far ahead than any other big brands in this segment. Being leather free adds to its brand image. Both me and my husband are all set for our long travel needs with lovely bags !Just a request, your website says that the 9th sling comes in a separate black bagā¦ā¦ā¦ but I received it open in a carton. So maybe you can check on it please? Thanks.
Although the Bellroy Venture sling has some thoughtful organizational features and I wanted to love it, surprisingly, the clip used to attach the carrying strap to the body seems to be made of thin, flimsy plastic. When simply slipping on the sling for the first time (empty), the clip snapped, leaving it useless for carrying. Since the other end of the strap is permanently attached to the body, itās not a simple matter of swapping it out, so this was an instant returnāand a search for a more durable product from a different brand.Itās hard to understand why a stronger, better designed part wasnāt used, as this felt cheap in a product that wasnāt.Also of note is that because of the Ventureās design, even when the main compartment is zipped fully closed, there ...Ā MoreAlthough the Bellroy Venture sling has some thoughtful organizational features and I wanted to love it, surprisingly, the clip used to attach the carrying strap to the body seems to be made of thin, flimsy plastic. When simply slipping on the sling for the first time (empty), the clip snapped, leaving it useless for carrying. This isnāt something you should ever need to worry about in an EDC product. For the reasons mentioned above, I cannot recommend the Bellroy Venture sling.
I'm enjoying this sling a lot so far. I bought it for an upcoming trip where I was looking for something that would hold my mirrorless camera with a good sized lens and still have enough room for my iPhone, wallet, passport, external battery and cables for my phone, etc. This sling holds everything comfortably without looking like a stuffed sausage casing. The strap is easy to adjust and the material feels great and like it will last for a long time.
Bought this bag about 2 or 3 years ago to replace a similar sling bag which broke. I use this bag almost daily and also for music festivals where Iām in crowds and dancing a lot the whole time. I have never had an issue with the bag being unsecured and usually Iām carrying a full bag with a water bottle inside, umbrella and jacket hanging off the bag. I like all the compartments and there is a lot of space! Iām always the things person in my friend group carrying all the food and water for events. I have no problem with things falling out of the bag. As long as you zip the bag all the way closed, nothing will fall out. Iāve never lost anything even in crowds where theft is rampant and even when Iām dancing hard and non stop for hours. There are also like these two straps at the end of the zippers where you can tuck the zippers under there when closed to provide more security. I actually have the white version of this bag which can get dirty quickly but I usually just wash it with baking soda and soup to refresh it. Overall this bag has been my go to. Itās been around the world at many music festivals. Itās definitely larger then other sling bags but I like the ability to carry a lot of stuff on me!!!
Thank you Modern Quests, for bringing Bellroy products to India. This is a very practical bag to carry your EDC especially while travelling. This is my second sling from Bellroy from this site. The sling mini is my daily EDC carry. Absolutely recommended.
Gave this bag to my partner who said he was interested in an over the shoulder type of bag. I did my research and this one was praised by many different folks. Let me tell you, we just got back from an international vacation and it did not disappoint! Super durable. Great size. Amazing construction. It held SO MUCH! At one point it had sunglasses, passports, earbuds, a comb, sunscreen, keys, protein bars and probably more that Iām forgetting. We love how the zipper opens from both sides. Also how it compacts if youāre not carrying much. This is a great find that I canāt recommend enough. It feels tough too, great material.
This piece was really purposely considered and has great padding to keep things safe, and the right number of pockets in the right places to make a bag thatās really easily accessible with one hand. The tripod carrying straps are clever and get out of the way easily when you donāt need them, but are invaluable when you do. Is well constructed, and I have no doubt that will hold up for quite some time and outdoor travels.
