Okay so Chunky Monkey has always been my favourite because banana ice cream is where its at so I was very excited to try this new Banoffee one! Ice cream is always let down by the chocolate, there is just no need for chocolate to be in everything and as Banoffee has no chocolate I thought I'd be safe. Unfortunately this other wise amazing flavour is completely ruined by the cookie swirls that have no business being there. And caramel cups? Ugh. Someone at Ben & Jerry's needs to go on a chocolate detox so that we can finally have a decent banana ice cream!

Ben and Jerry’s Oh My! Banoffee Pie! Is my idea of heaven!! The rich and creamy banana ice cream with the chocolate caramel cups and cookie swirls is perfectly balanced and full of flavour! Each mouthful is a delight and you feel that it’s total luxury! As the smooth and creamy banana ice cream melts in your mouth the caramel and cookie swirls combine to add a decadent texture full of richness. It’s extremely moreish and a total treat! As you would expect from Ben and Jerry’s it’s a whole different level of ice cream!!!

I?m reviewing this product because I got a free sample from Ocado. The first layer is soft scoop ice cream with toffee sauce. Loved the texture, but no discernible banana flavour or biscuit. Choc chunks were good through. The second layer is the usual Ben & Jerry's ice cream texture and there is some banana flavour here and but it's rather synthetic and not strong enough. Some years ago I used to buy Ben & Jerry's chunky monkey (banana) flavour, which was fabulous and this doesn't really compare, which is disappointing. If I hadn't tried chunky monkey and if I wasn't expecting a decent amount of banana flavour, I would have been more impressed.

My new favourite ice cream!! Lovely sweet banana ice cream, with a salty biscuit swirl (ie the base of a banoffee pie). Its not a nauseating overly strong banana, which is good, but it does most definitely taste of banana. This is topped with a sweet, fluffy layer reminiscent of a Mr Whippy. Ive never seen so many picky food reviews until I started using Ocado. I do wonder if Waitrose stole everyones tastebuds before they parted company.
I?m reviewing this product because I got a free sample from Ocado. It's very light on banana flavour, I would say it's pretty much just sweet + toffee. I didn't like the texture of the icecream, it was too fluffy - however it was soft enough to spoon it from the tub. I think it has a potential to be liked by some people, but it wasn't for me. I ate a small portion, but my friend happily finished the rest - not sure if it was because she got free ice cream or whether she liked it, she wouldn't admit!
Im reviewing this product because I got a free sample from Ocado. Im not very familiar with Ben and Jerrys ice cream but I absolutely loved this ice cream with the banana flavour, caramel swirl and the different kinds of chocolate chunky pieces throughout. It gives some chocolately caramely texture and the pieces arent too hard either. Lovely ice cream texture and tastes just like a banana sundae but far more indulgent. I was pleased that the banana flavour wasnt overpowering, it was just perfect and I will buy this ice cream again. Looking forward to it already!
We normally love Ben & Jerry’s ice cream but found this one very disappointing. It really didn’t taste like bananas at all and the cookie dough swirls made the ice cream texture kind of gritty. The whipped ice cream topping was really soft and not the best either. The nicest part was the chocolate caramel cups. I wouldn’t buy this again to be honest and I wouldn’t recommend it either. If you want something with a hint of banana, go for the Chunky Monkey flavour instead.
This was so disappointing - it wasn't worth finishing, I dumped most of it. I was looking forward to a banana ice cream - this wasn't it, I couldn't even taste any banana. Does anyone remember the divine Satisfy my Bowl which was discontinued ... strangely the same sort of mix of ingredients but marvellously banana flavoured and exciting. This was bland, a swirl of caramel in a billow of sweetness with annoying chocolate pellets. One for B&J's Graveyard. Resurrect Satisfy my Bowl and Cherry Garcia!!
Ben & Jerry's oh my banoffee pie ice cream is a great new flavour I got to try. I can't quite decide what I liked best about it but have to say it was really sweet. With a mixture of banana ice cream mixed with chocolatey caramel and cookie pieces with a whipped cream topping there was nothing to really dislike. The banana ice cream was a bit bland but the sweetness of the other ingredients made up for it. Definitely one for that sugar hit when you need it most and a great easy way to serve a desert to boot.
I received these from ocado for free in exchange for a review. My partner, who loves sweets, said that he only liked the top, i.e the whipped ice cream and thought the rest of the ice cream had too much biscuit and quite flavourless. I, on the other hand, prefer savoury and didn't like the top, but did enjoy the part with biscuits, as I enjoyed the crunchy consistency. What I didn't enjoy though was how sweet it was - it was difficult to sense any flavours because of the sugar, could only differentiate the various consistencies. We both liked the chocolate bits.
