I was gifted by benefit-cosmetics and had the opportunity to be one of the first people to try there new launch! I love doing a matte glam and using matte blurring primer because as somebody who has large pores and combinational skin. It is really important for me to have something that will blur the skin while also not drying it out. I definitely enjoyed this primer it made my skin feel super smooth and flawless ! my makeup applied really well and it definitely minimized my pores and kept my makeup in place during my 6 hour work shift. I usually tend to get super shiny in my t zone throughout the day and I definitely noticed that I wasn't as shiny toward the end of my shift as I usually am! If you love a matte blurred glam ,you should definitely try this primer.!

This mattifying primer (as far as I can tell) has different key ingredients than the other one, like niacinamide which my skin loves. My pores are quite large on my nose and cheeks which this instantly smoothed over. It blended seamlessly under my makeup, which was my biggest concern as the OG one did not for me. It's lightweight and honestly could be worn by itself as well. I forgot to take a pic before applying to my nose so only look at the difference in my cheeks but you can tell my nose is blurred! You need the tiniest bit and it instantly smooths over and blurs out pores. It makes my skin feel silky smooth and it allows my makeup to apply flawlessly. It makes my makeup look so perfect, like I have filter on my face! I love that it doesn't feel heavy and it prevents the oils on my skin from peeking through and breaking down my makeup. I'm absolutely in love with this primer. It beautifully blurs pores and is perfect for oily skin. I could tell this primer was gonna be good just by the texture! It feels amazingly lightweight on my skin and instantly gave me that smoothness! The way it vanished my pores was unbelievable!! I have large pores on my cheeks, and they are super visible, but when I use this primer, you can't even tell! My skin looks even and blurred! It's crazy how much of a difference this made! Not only does it blur my pores, but it keeps my skin from getting oily throughout the day! My makeup is locked in and looks incredible! A triumph complimentary from Benefit Cosmetics!
This product was gifted by Benefit in exchange for my honest review. I have oily skin but most matte primers don't work for me. They are usually too slippery with silicone or thick like glue and hard to spread. This was a little thicker but still spreadable and my foundation applied effortlessly over top. After wearing this for 12 hours, I did get oily but not near as bad as I do with other primers. I think this would be incredible paired with a matte powder and setting spray but also works wonders on its own. If you used to swear by the discounted Too Faced Primed & Peachy, you have got to try this.
The packaging is compact and super travel friendly. I love this super lightweight formula because it doesn’t feel heavy and it’s undetectable on the skin! It just blends into the skin effortlessly and it feels like skincare on the skin. I find I only need the tiniest amount and it makes my makeup look flawless! The primer blurs and smooth out pores while managing oils on my skin so, that I don’t get shiny throughout the day. Makeup applies so easily and seamlessly with this primer. It’s a savior during the hot months to keep my makeup on for over eight hours. I’m really impressed with this formula and I recommend it for all skin types.
Benefit's original POREfessional Primer is hands down one of my favorite primers, so I was excited to try out their new POREfessional Matte Face Primer!It definitely blurs and helps reduce shine. I do love that it has Niacinamide, Rose Hip Extract and Mineral Powder in it. It's a really nice primer for sure!But, I don't LOVE the added fragrance. I do not recall the original POREfessional having an added fragrance. So if your skin is sensitive to added fragrances in your skincare / makeup, the might not be for you.I prefer the OG over this one, but that's just a personal preference.Gifted by benefitcosmetics
My porefessional matte primer gifted by Benefit Cosmetics works great on me! I have combination skin and have been using this in NYC's intense summer heat for a week. I used it solely on clean skin and as a primer for my makeup. I like using it both ways. The texture is silky and easily spreads onto face and neck. It's a light weight cream like feel and honesty feels a little like applying sunscreen due to the light oil feel it leaves behind. It smells clean and didn't irritate my face at all. I used it like a moisturizer on the days I didn't put makeup on. This left my skin appearing fresh and smooth plus with a bit of brilliance where the shine wasn't overwhelming; thank God for that. So yes, I like this product. A little stretches a long way for sure.
So this is not a miracle worker by any means it's not going to erase your pores magically if that's what you're hoping for but it does smell really good and it does make your make up much more Matt.
