Bentgo Kids Leak Proof Lunch Box Green

We have used this same lunch box Monday to Friday, September to July for the last 4 years (we flip to the yummbox when she has bigger sandwiches). It holds the perfect amount of food for my little one. The latches are easy for little hands to open/close after lunch time and they clean a dream!! We flip between hand washing and the dishwasher without any issues. The seal works amazing for thick things like yogurt and pudding - watery things like applesauce does slightly leak.

A Must for Daycare/Preschool!

I like Bentgo due to their cute-ness as well as ease of cleaning. They are sturdy and can be used everyday/handles by my little ones. We used our Bentgo boxes everyday for daycare, and will be using them for preschool in the fall. My boys are 2 years old and they have been using them since they were 18 months old. The portion sizes are perfect for toddlers/preschoolers. I love packing their boxes every night!

Fun and functional!

We love our Bentgo! Love the two-tone purple color and playing with food options for the different compartment sizes. Tons of Bentgo lunch ideas on Pinterest. It comes with little sticker name label as well. We have not had any leakage or latch issues in 4 weeks of use. Note: You do have to make sure the latches are completely shut to lock appropriately. Will only make that mistake once! I have also been washing it by hand (my personal preference) to ensure the heat from the dishwasher doesn’t damage the compartment seals.

Great lunch carrier for 6 yr old

I just purchased three of these for my 6 year old great granddaughter. She takes her lunch to school everyday and I had already purchased a couple Bento boxes then I saw these and I was so excited! They don't leak! My great granddaughter loves fruit and you can put watermelon in one of the compartments and it doesn't leak into the other or out of the box. It holds plenty of food for a 6 year old. We do put an ice pack below and above the Bentgo in her lunchbox to keep her food cool. So far, her food has stayed cool the 4 hours until her lunch. I am not concerned about sending a ham sandwich going bad from morning until her lunch. It stays cool, but I always put the ice pack above and below the Bentgo. Great purchase.

Great product and even better customer service!

We’ve been using Bentgo boxes for three years now and our collection has grown over the years. So far, not one has broken or looks faded. My oldest Bento box started getting some discolouration years later and I reached out to Bento and they were quick to respond with tips on getting rid of the stain and were more than willing to send a replacement if all else failed.My husband was a bit apprehensive at first buying an expensive box for a toddler but he’s fully sold now and we don’t opt for any other brand anymore.

Horrible not leak proof at all!

I bought these lunch boxes thinking they would be good, but I was soooo mistaken! I thought they would be leak proof and the stuff in one compartment wouldn’t mix in the others I’ve closed them correctly but I’m scared to even pack yogurt for my daughters lunch’s because it spills everywhere! It’s disgusting! And I feel so bad I’m going to be taking these back! Don’t waste your money I already did and let me tell you, it’s not worth it!

May get moldy and stained so pleade take into consideration

I love how many compartments there are and how tightly sealed it is! However, because of how thick it is, it does make it hard to keep the food inside cool. I tried the removal ice pack lunch box for my son too! On top of that, it gets stains and molded easily after a while if you don’t properly care for it. I’m not sure that I would recommend this to anyone because of the inside temperature, staining, molding, and limited space. I had mine for a year and got rid of it. I haven’t brought one since. This product specifically though! It looks great on picture but ideally the portions are for toddlers and snack size for kids. It may work for some and not others.

Not leakproof

This lunch container is fine is for an elementary-aged student, but carrying it creates a problem. There is no handle, nor a way to keep items cold, without inserting this box into a lunchbox/bag. That's fine, except the Bentgo is not leakproof, even when fully closed and latched properly. Therefore, unless kept perfectly flat all day (unrealistic from home to car to school to lunch to bus) the liquids leak out, getting all over the outer lunch box, seeping through the fabric and ruining it. The last thing I want to do at the end of the day is scrub applesauce or pudding out of lunchbox fabric. It's fine if you don't plan on packing liquids or fruit or vegetables with any sort of water content. Also, there's no place to include a drink. Would not buy again.

Service Matters!

I bought a Bentgo kids lunch box for my 3 1/2 year old grandson about 6 months ago and it worked great until I was informed by his school that the insulation was damaged and it smelled a little moldy. So I immediately reached out to customer service for a replacement because my grandson who is autistic looks forward to having that lunch box in his lunch bag every day. Customer service responded immediately and had another lunch box on its way to me as soon as I provided them with a proof of purchase. I would highly recommend this product to any parent or guardian who may be in a similar situation as myself.

not leak proof

This lunchbox is really fun for my kids! my daughter always eats her lunch, mostly. Unfortunately it does leak. My daughter loves apples & carrots with ranch and the circular part leaks which makes her ultimately not eat her veggies n fruits. My son doesn't like his food touching and when it leaks applesauce on his sandwich he doesn't eat any of it. It also will leak in their lunch bag or book bag. Recommend not using foods that will leak in this one.
