Never used this gas before seems to burn good and hot seems easier to light . Always used the blue bottles before switching to this for my go to gas now

I read where Map has burned hotter than propane. If it does, I can’t see much difference. I was trying to use the low temp aluminum brazing rods, and this bottle failed for me. It may work for other products, but it did not work for me.

I was replacing brakes and rotors on my Miata and I had a brake caliper pin that was rusted totally locked up. The sales person suggested that I could loosen it by heating it up. I had never tried something like that but I gave it a go and it made it possible to remove the old pin and replace it. My brakes are good as new! Great customer service.

I bought two of these cylinders thinking one would run out by the time I was done with my plumbing project. I went through 3 rolls of 4oz solder and still had plenty of MAPP gas left!! It is amazing how much fuel is in this light can! Would highly recommend.
I needed to buy some copper pipe and fittings. Went to plumbing, looked down an isle 'till I saw copper pipe. I got a couple pieces of pipe and some fittings, and picked up a new tubing cutter. Then I started looking for some gas, solder and flux. It's nowhere to be seen. I ask an employee and he says that's over by the tools. Not there, so I walked all the way back to plumbing, Thought I'd go down the pvc isle. There's all the pvc pipe, pvc fittings, pvc glue, and in the middle of it is torch heads, solder, flux. I have never seen anybody use a torch to fit pvc, but maybe I missed something. Now, I know the employees can't be expected to know where everything is in that store, that's why Lowe's should put things where they belong! Is it really so hard to know ... MAP gas burns a bit hotter than propane (3730 degrees versus 3600 degrees) but MAP seems to heat copper faster than propane. It works better with non lead solder which is not code for potable water lines. Silver and tin solder responds better to more heat but be careful not to overheat.
Excellent. Gets hot. Makes sweating copper so much easier than the blue. Price is good too.
Mapp gas is a lot hotter than Propane and is just what you need for brazing. I tried propane to braze aluminum, it will work but it takes a long time to preheat the parent metal. When I switched to Mapp gas it didn.t take nearly as long and I noticed the aluminum filler rod flowed much nicer into the joint. If you plan on welding (brazing) aluminum give Mapp gas a try. I do recommend it. It is a little more expensive but it heats up the part much more quickly. Make sure you get the parent metal hot enough before you add the filler rod.
I've used this gas before, works great for copper plumbing. Unfortunately my existing cylinder leaked dry so off I went to the store. There I asked where it is kept, also was told there is a newer hotter Blue colored cylinder gas out front and that the MAP gas was out of stock. Total reverse. MAP was there, Blue gas was out of stock. Plumbing job done well again but I still wonder the advantage of the Blue gas and will tins cylinder leak out too?
Can't believe I've been paying $3.00 MORE at the home improvement stores for the exact same BERNZOMATIC Map-Pro gas. Never dreamed I could get it at Wal-Mart. Sometimes I just have to admit that Wally World does a great job.
