The Original Berserk Is Epic And This Is The Continuation Of That. The Story Isn't Still Not Finished, But Fingers Crossed It'll Be Completed Soon.

Great anime series. Not for children. Adult content anime.

That series compiles the stories of the Conviction Arc and of the Falcon of the Millennium Empire Arc from Kentarou Miura's Berserk universe (well most of it at least). It's in a different animation style then the old Golden Age Arc Series adaptions and leans more towards the movies with the CGI, but it's not as badly executed as in the movies. All in all worth the price tag.

I love berserk. while this blu-ray was bit pricey for what it is. You can get it cheaper elsewhere vut I couldn't be bothered waiting a couple of weeks for it to be shipped. The sleeve in the case was slightly damaged while annoying nothing to really complain about
The series has a good story, good protagonists also has good antagonists.
I was quite satisfied with the price; it was more than fare
Simple boxing but its nice to have the 2 seasons together not I have to wait for season 4 to be released and I'll buy them in the same format. Runs perfectly on a ps4 pro.
Look yes the animation style is vastly different to the original and objectively worse but that didn't bring me out of the story at all. For the bluray release they did fix certain scenes to look a bit better. I have only watched 2 discs out of the 4 so I don't know if it gets better or worse as it goes on...1 thing I'd like to point out is that they are not using the same voice actors from the original 1997 Anime and Golden Age Arc Movie Trilogy. And Gut's voice actor just doesn't fit him. There is uncensored material here which is a good thing as most of the gory scenes were Shaded/Covered over from the Streaming Release. If your a fan please don't skip out on purchasing this. The reason why we haven't gotten an anime since the "2017" release is because of the amount of people not supporting the animators or companies involved in making this anime. They got the MEMO and want to bring berserk back to 2D but we wont be getting one for a long while because their is just not enough support for it.
Anime fans might be lured by the prestigious looking plastic wrap covered deluxe manga books or a type of CGI animation that at times is somewhat more detailed than some other programs however there are problems with this medieval europe set fantasy series. The excessive use of hero music is a problem. Frequently, something similar to african witch chanting seems out of place and is repulsive to hear. Somewhat truly upsetting, their 'audio torture' seems aimed at tormenting the viewer especially if there's a sexy gothic white female on screen (though everyone's basically a white european so far but I haven't finished it yet). They seem intent on trying to ensure the viewer probably won't enjoy the sight of hott Lady Death-like women even if they might otherwise. ... MoreAnime fans might be lured by the prestigious looking plastic wrap covered deluxe manga books or a type of CGI animation that at times is somewhat more detailed than some other programs however there are problems with this medieval europe set fantasy series. They seem intent on trying to ensure the viewer probably won't enjoy the sight of hott Lady Death-like women even if they might otherwise. Like someone's jealous black wife was whispering in their head like some accursed witchy female Jiminy Cricket wherever some fresh nasty white babe chick with 'books and can add' (use your imagination) might be a vexation. Not enough production quality and too much lousy cgi and the cgi is probably why someone might check it out in the first place but it's simply not that good after a while. After a little screen time, the realization that many video games have better anime style cgi makes itself obvious. This might not be worth your time or money. Also, only flipping through a deluxe volume, my guess is that it's high price toilet fodder (Actually flushing it down the toilet is not recommended here.). Doesn't seem like an enduring classic masterpiece to me and I think you may be better off if you skip it. Go for a classic instead, maybe. Lots more nudity than I expected. A small fraction of the time is good traditional style anime. Sorry for the crudeness but considering the content and the program's humor, it seems fair enough though I understand if this doesn't go on this web page.
This isn't the 1997 anime, they use the 1997 anime artwork to make it look like it but it isn't. I am a huge fan of berserk and this made me furious. Do not buy this product if you are looking for the 1997 anime. It's the 2016 anime that combines 2D animation and CGI together and makes it look terrible. This product scammed me into thinking that it would be the 1997 anime but it wasn't. Change what you put on the DVD cover, use the 2016 art or something. Not the 1997 because it looks like that's what you're selling.
