Pools are sold in only a couple stores in my area. And if you don't buy them by April you out of luck. This was a great buy for my young kids. Although my teen enjoys it too. But it was at a great price and easy set up. Took about 30 minute to put up and about two hours to fill. Saved my family from going crazy in this summers heat.

I bought mine over 10 years ago. I have added a larger filter/pump and a saltwater system. These are on timers and keep the pool clean all season with minimal effort and the price of two bags of salt. You just dump them in when you put it up and that's it. Way easier and cheaper than chlorine, stabilizers etc. I also got a pool vacuum. I added a solar cover a couple of years ago which is in my book an essential mod to these pools. These and all parts are all available in NZ and are reasonably priced. ps: Those pegs are brittle but you can buy more. Hope you find this helpful.

The Bestway 12'x30" is inferior to their discontinued 12'x36" (which lasted 3 summers). As a result of the new oval shaped metal upper frame (rather than round) or due to a design change, the pool sits in such a way that the upright frame pieces angle inward at the bottom and aren't plumb, while the pool top vinyl attachments pull at an angle instead of down. As with all above ground pools, the 330gph filter is useless. With no alternative product available, at $50 I would recommend this item as a good value.

Easy set up. Took about 20 minutes to set up. . Great for laying around to keep cool in the hot summer days. Great size to maintain with minimal upkeep. I would suggest to all on upgrading the tiny filter. Tiny filter will have to be run almost 24/7 to keep clean. If you use the pool constantly you will need to clean the filter a couple times a day. I upgraded to 12" sand filter. Plastic hose clamps not so great. upgrade those if they drip/leak.
It is a replacement for our original one which was about 5 years old. Would not have needed a replacement if the low lifes who visit our neighbour did not throw sharpend sticks into the base and sides. If this one lasts as long as the other one with no problems we will be pleased. We have put metal screens up on the fence of the troublesome neighbour.
Bought in 2019, using for the second time this summer (2021). We unfortunately put a couple holes in the vinyl but was easy enough to fix with patch repair once we found them both. Pretty easy to maintain with chlorine tablets and cleaning filters. Already perfect temperature for swimming in early December, at 26 degrees. Pump seems to be lasting well. With a bit of maintenance (as all pools need) this pool will last us well. Super refreshing on those hot and muggy Auckland days.
Love this large-sized pool, not difficult to maintain with large chlorine discs 1 pw and shock granules now and then. I have 2 filters and switch out every few days/week and clean with hose on high pressure. I have just set the pool up for this summer and unfortunately the pump is not working after using for 3 months last summer :( will be asking for a replacement
This pool is cheap and very poor quality. The liner is very thin, it is not a durable material. It ripped after only a short time of normal use. The pole connections are a cheap plastic, not metal like others of the same brand we have bought before. The filter is a joke, it doesn't work at all. Lastly, the price is ridiculously high for such a cheaply made item.
We are on our third season with this pool and we don't think it is going to last the summer. We are on our second packet of patch repair kits. Not bad for the price, good size for the kids just wish the lining had more longevity.
