If you want to hear every part of your music's frequency range as clear as it can be - these are the best. Best used in a quiet studio as they are semi-open - but great for singers to use whilst recording in a QUIET studio. This enables the sound pressure waves to escape the ear covers, which translates to hearing everything so much clearer and easier - especially at higher volumes. I tried the 990s and they sounded like HiFi phones compared to these. And they are made tough so performers won't break them on day 1 (shout out to Shure for that one). The downside is the lack of any other items in the box! No extender cables. No extra ear pieces. Nothing - classic German hospitality. Cheers!

I really didn’t expect the headphones to do such a kind of wonder to my ears. I have always been a great fan of planar magnetic openbacks. I just wanted to try something different this time. so I went on and bought this Beyerdynamic-DT880 and I’m using it with a&b xb10. I’m sure I’m never gonna regret buying this headphones. Thank you headphone zone

Beyerdynamic DT 880 pro headphones with individual calibration sound very good and feel very good. I always mix on monitors, but every time I check the sound on headphones.
Great delivery time! The headphones themselves are sounding great. Hard to say how much difference the individual calibration gives to me but I'm feeling that I get better results mixing then I previously did with other not calibrated headphones and the Reference software.
These are good for rough mixing and editing. Occasionally I am unable to use my Focals in the room. These headphones do a fine job giving me a reasonable representation of what I'm mixing. I believe they are a great value.
It's a really good product, for just 2k more than the ath m50x, this one is just way way better and the sound is so deep and flat at the same time, it amazes. There's a dip in the high mids a bit but it you can just recover that via your calibration software and it's good to go! Too good
Needs some EQ (directly running from a macbook pro 2017) to get working properly I think. I use eqMac and take the oratory1990's presets as starting point. Also eqMac itself directs to certain presets you can use. With those, bass becomes more for my taste. Although you shouldn't really listen metal with these, hard rock and similar things are okay, but I think this shines more when you have high mids. I really enjoy listening Yes, Rush, etc with these. And reviews you see where it says "feels like nothing", they are right. Listened for hours on end, never felt any discomfort. May be hot in the summer but sitting in a home at around 76 degrees, didn't feel hot.And noise bleed is not too much, of course not suitable for an office setting, but you do not need to ... MoreNeeds some EQ (directly running from a macbook pro 2017) to get working properly I think. Still, you can hear a lot with the headphones on, so you may want to shield yourself from noise anyways. Outside noise interferes a lot.
I get my DT880pro for my home-studio and Im happy! My NI Komplete Audio 2 does it very, very well! I test it for a little bit: sometimes I have to turn it to the maximum, of course, but I don’t have this volume right - there are no audible distortions, except for tracks where there are really a lot of bass, but I don’t work at that volume anymore. In general, the card swings quite fitly! Of course, in the future I will change the source, but I thought that I would have to do it right away, but here you can directly and not rush so far))And yes, I was afraid of their frequency response (famous leaders). I don’t know how - but they came to me! Actually, if there is an extra top in the track - you will be the first to know about it)) And the bass - well, very good! ... MoreI get my DT880pro for my home-studio and Im happy! A good representation of the full frequency spectrum.Balanced, detailed sounding treble that extends very high. A smooth mid range that seems to dip ever so slightly in the more 'lower-mid' frequencys, I feel this contributes to a pleasant wide and bright sound with good instrument separation. When compared to another popular open headphone like the Sennheiser HD650 the mid range of the DT800 is not as smooth and lush sounding, vocals and guitars don't sound as weighty. However as a studio tool I think the DT800 has the potential to be somewhat more revealing. The bass stays very balanced and separate, bringing forward a lot of 'texture' from bass instruments as well as extending down into the sub-bass (20-40hz) comfortably.Excellent headphone, for studio and hi ... MoreA good representation of the full frequency spectrum.Balanced, detailed sounding treble that extends very high.
