Bialetti Brikka 2 Cup Espresso Maker Black

Normal coffe maker, quality is good but like other coffe maker of this style. Easy to use and to clean. I prefer making coffee here than capsules.

I purchased the 6-cup option for a reason, but after receiving it, I cleaned it and put it to use only to realize it barely holds 2 1/2 cups! It even has a big number "2" embossed on the inside of the main part that you fill with water!!!??? Other than that, I absolutely love it, especially when grinding and brewing my espresso!

Alternative Brewing does it again

Just wanted to say thanks for the advice from Justin, the super impressive fast shipping and an excellent product that delivered as good a coffee as I hoped for. I bought the Brikka after looking at another product but being advised this one would work for me better. Two days in the mail to regional Queensland and I am enjoying a top brew. This moka pot is simple, easy to use, easy to clean and produces a consistent coffee. One tip - fill with boiling water.. not cold. Brews faster and doesn't over heat the grinds!

Birthday present - Bialetti Brikka Moka Pot

I purchased this for a friends 60th birthday present. He already had a smaller non brikka moka pot. He's over the moon with this present and loves the crema it produces. Great product that I can highly recommend. Also, always great customer service provided by Alternative Brewing - a pleasure to deal with.

Cafe quality at home

Wasn’t sure about this, but now that I’ve used it for couple of weeks I love it. To get the maximum crema use good fresh ground coffee and take off the heat as soon as it starts to make the pressure noise. It makes a strong espresso.. enough for 4 little espresso shots, but I pour the whole lot into my standard breakfast cup with a little whole milk that I’ve warmed and frothed in the microwaveI don’t use detergent to clean, just make sure all parts are rinsed well with hot water to avoid blockages.

Challenging!

I may adjust my review after asking for help from the coffee bean team but for now I can say it is a challenge to get the Brikka to produce any drinkable coffee, never mind the crema!Have had the traditional Moka for years and wanted an additional Moka so we decided to get the Brikka. I am rather good at following instructions and even watched a couple of demo’s on the Brikka, but unfortunately after many attempts and cleaning every little inch including the valve, I still get an ‘angry’ hissing pot and no coffee. A rather scary experience indeed!

If you want a very forgiving, easy to use, deliciously practically espresso factory, get a moka pot. If you seek perfection that rivals and often surpasses commercial neighborhood espresso stands the Brikka is your tool. If you fail the crema test, your consolation is a damn fine flavorful "pull". If you do everything right and the barometric pressure and the bean grind, freshness and quality are spot on and you hit the mother lode of crema perfection, the skies open angels descend on golden rays of sunlight and all is right with the world. Take this time to forget the condition of the world and the pressures of existence and write an espressive review.

Fantastic!

The valve on the Brikka is a fantastic addition to the standard moka pot.It's adds a bit of excitement to the usual morning brew and also acts as a nice reminder that the coffee is ready to take off the stove.Very easy learning curve to get a consistent brew.I've found measuring the beans to 24g gets a perfect brew each time as long as you fill the water up to the correct height.

Makes an amazing coffee!

I wanted a Moka that expelled crema and this Brikka does that to a perfection. I like heating it very gently allowing it to take it's time and every time the coffee simply tastes amazing. With this Brikka I truly enjoy a cup of nice cappuccino in the morning with the help of a hand pumped milk frother. It gives a great start to my day and gives me the energy while enjoying a relaxing 5 minutes before I start my day.Very grateful Cafune had this Moka available at a great price and swift shipping. Their customer service is impeccable and I will definitely return to the store for my future coffee purchases.

Makes great coffee

Brewing is easy. 1. Fill the lower chamber with warm water, below the safety Valve. 2. Fill the coffee basket with fresh ground coffee, I find medium roasted gives great results. 3. Assemble the moka pot, use a towel as the lower chamber will be hot to a touch. 4. Put the Moka pot on low to medium heat. Let it brew. 5. Once the coffee comes through on to the chamber, keep an eye until the coffee starts to splutter. Remove the Moka pot from the heat rest the Moka pot on a wet towel or run the lower chamber under cold running water. This is to stop the extraction. 6. Pour and enjoy.
