Bialetti Brikka Moka Pot 4 Cup - Integrated Valve / Red
This stovetop espresso maker requires only coffee, water, and a hot surface to brew delicious espresso. Steam some milk and you can make yourself a latte or flat white. The Bialetti Brikka’s are a new patented integrated Pressure valve and uses a system that regulates water pressure precisely to ensure that the coffee is rich in flavour, but not overpowering or weak. As a result, this brews a thick crema with fewer visible bubbles. An open hole designed into the lid allows air to swirl above the brewing coffee to form velvety cream. This cream is the result of coffee oils trapping air and is the mark of quality espresso. The 2 Cup Brikka has a boiler capacity of 100 ml and brews up to 70 ml of espresso. The 4 Cup Brikka has a 200 ml boiler and can brew closer to 160 ml of espresso. Pick the size that’s right for you. With either size, the whole process takes less than five minutes. The aluminium alloy espresso maker is durable and beautiful. The acrylic handle and lid knob are easy to handle, even when the device is very hot. This latest pressure valve from Bialetti ensures high and more consistent brew temperatures and pressure than the previous weighted model does, creating an even richer stovetop espresso experience. Bialetti Brikka Moka Pot Features Pressure Valve System - Regulates pressure to produce balanced, rich coffee. Velvety Crema - The open lid enables coffee oils and air to interact and form golden crema. Two Sizes - Brew up to 60 ml with the 2 Cup model, or 140 ml with the 4 Cup. Durable Materials - The espresso maker features aluminium alloy to last a lifetime. Heat-Resistant Handle - The acrylic handle and knob are hand-friendly, even when the aluminium is hot. After several months ownership of the Bialetti Brikka (2 cup) I feel qualified to write a review, the Review Title is a fair summary of my opinion. Because of my experience with coffee plungers ( an all metal single cup plunger delivering a better taste than a multi-cup plunger regardless of the material it's are made of - at least in my opinion) I ordered the Bialetti Brikka 2 cup. This will give a 60 ml shot of excellence that fits nicely in an Expresso Cup. As long as the instructions are followed carefully there is really nothing between you and coffee bliss. Just start with cold water, make sure the element on your stove is already heated before placing the Bialetti on it (the ideal temperature of element on my stove is heated to half way, your stove may ... MoreAfter several months ownership of the Bialetti Brikka (2 cup) I feel qualified to write a review, the Review Title is a fair summary of my opinion. My favourite method of drinking this is to place a dob of whipped cream in a preheated expresso cup, pour the coffee in, then another dob of whipped cream (smaller than the first) and a very light sprinkling with Cinnamon powder. Absolutely delish. In closing I would like to thank the team at 'Alternative Brewing' for their excellent service

Just wanted to say thanks for the advice from Justin, the super impressive fast shipping and an excellent product that delivered as good a coffee as I hoped for. I bought the Brikka after looking at another product but being advised this one would work for me better. Two days in the mail to regional Queensland and I am enjoying a top brew. This moka pot is simple, easy to use, easy to clean and produces a consistent coffee. One tip - fill with boiling water.. not cold. Brews faster and doesn't over heat the grinds!

This is the standard bialetti except there is is weight on the outlet to the jug that delays the coffee brew slightly aerating the brew putting more crema on the coffee. Does it work,? I like the out put being hot black and thoroughly extracted, warning though dont really ovetfill the bottom hopper, put more water than it recomnends and as it brews the top cup fills too much covering the outlet and it seriously overfloes , quite a mess, if you folkow instructions you will be fine. The out put is 4 cups, realistically only 2 generous cups, otherwise easy to use and brews a serious cup of joe. Better to use dark roast/expresso bkends.

We were planning to move to the gorgeous countryside from Bondi and my only doubt was how on earth i was going to get a decent coffee every day. Truly such a dilemma haha.I purchased the Brikka Moka Pot with integrated valve after my favourite Italian coffee guy who owns La PiaDina in Bondi told me this was the easiest and cheapest way for me to replicate his amazing coffee. It wasn't going to be "as" good, of course, but with good beans and a good grinder it would come close, and to my utter delight he was correct!I have used it every day for 5 months now and it consistently makes a great, punch you in the face, creamy espresso. I would be lost without it. I would be lost without it. I'm on the AB website today to have a sniff around at a much more expensive and "proper" coffee machine with all the bells and whistles because my husband thinks it's time for a Bigbop. He loves a long black and currently uses a stovetop pot, whereas I am a strong 3/4 flatwhite girl and truly I don't need all the bells and whistles and parts and noise and gadgets and dials. I am so happy with the Moka Pot espresso and don't see the point upgrading. I don't like milk steamers, mess, noise, more mess... instead, I put some milk in my Breville milk warmer and I grind the beans in my Breville grinder and it's all pretty easy and consistent. Also, because I wake up first and I don't want to make heaps of noise, I love preparing the MokaPot the night before and I just leave it on the stove so all i have to do in the morning is turn on the stove, it's a quick and quiet routine. I can get quietly caffeinated before my three tiny humans wake up.The parts are all aluminium so very sturdy except there is one rubber seal which you can easily replace for little cost when it needs it.The only downside is it's quite tight to undo at times, i wish i had a little contraption to assist with opening it. My husband opens it for me usually but something to consider if you have arthritis or wrist pain. Before you buy a bigbop, buy the brikka mokapot, best $70 you ever spent.
The Brikka is super easy to use, and grind size and burner temp took about 3 or 4 tries to get right. I followed the video on AB website for set up and brewing. Takes just a few minutes to have two generous espresso shots. Also very easy to clean.
I already have an excellent espresso maker but I still regularly use the Brikka moka pot for easy mornings. The Brikka makes full-flavoured coffee with a nice amount of foam (more than your average moka pot). It's coffee I can take black, rich but not bitter. I also really appreciate the heat-protective handle.
Makes a strong coffee! Solid build, very temperamental though. Occasionally leaks onto stove which is frustrating. Its hard to tell if its fully ******* shut! Crema dissipates quickly. Kinda find it over-hyped compared to other expresso machines I have used, honestly Wacaco Nanopresso makes a smoother coffee, thicker crema just without the traditional percolator hit.
over the years, i’ve tried almost every coffee brewing method there is, and i recently came full circle with a new bialetti brikka after 30 years of espresso machines, french presses, v60s, a moccamaster, aeropress, the vietnamese caphe drip, indonesian kopi tubruk…. you name it!i’m delighted with the simplicity of the bialetti brikka….i get 4 shots of delicious espresso with plenty of crema, with a minute of prep and a minute or two on a preheated stovetop.the bialetti is very quick and easy to clean, it’s built for durability, and finally, it’s a classic that looks great in my kitchen.
I have the 2-cup version which is perfect for one. there is a small learning curve and after you have it figured out, you'll be enjoying some delicious coffee. clean-up is an absolute breeze. ensure you dry it well after washing to avoid oxidization of the aluminium.
I purchased the Brikka a few weeks ago, not really believing I’d fall for the hype, but needed a new Moka anyway... All I can say is WOW! I brew exactly as the instructions say (except I always grind a tad finer, and grind fresh straight into the basket), and get enough rich espresso for two strong small lattes (about 120mls). I also have a Belman Steamer, and with these two combined I have to say, I prefer the flavour of my lattes over most of the good espresso bars in town! Smooth, strong, rich...so delicious. I really was shocked at how good the espresso cuts through milk.I’ve owned several different espresso machines, including a Rocket Giotto, and I can’t stop mentioning how much I really do love the end result of the espresso from the Brikka with milk. It really is a wonderful, at home, budget, minimal and clutter free option for home (or camping) lattes!Considering the Moka pot isn’t a 9bar espresso machine, the end result (especially after a small amount of personal tweaking) is extraordinary!
