I use razors to shave my head and face. When my normal razor was out of stock, I decided to try this razor and blades. Thankfully I was smart enough to take it slow. If you've ever cut your scalp with a razor, you'll know why. In the middle of shaving my head (which I do by feel in the shower), the blade came off the razor. Trying to find a blade you can't see that is either on your head, your neck, your body, or at your feet is not pleasant. Nor is when a blade slips (like it can if it doesn't stay put on the handle) and slices you up. I figured it was a fluke and tried again. Nope. Same thing. The handle doesn't securely keep the blade attached. Even if they handle had been decent, the shave was not. The blades were dull after one shave and irritated my face and scalp almost instantly from shave two on. The angle of the blades may be great for grabbing hairs, but it does so painfully. Next time I'll wait for my normal blades to be back in stock.

My boyfriend had grown his facial hairs out over the winter and was ready to shave it all off with the hot weather approaching. I gladly handed him the "BIC Hybrid 4 Flex Disposable Razor" and told him to get started. Although I love his beard I was ready myself to see a change. After he clipped most of his beard off he was ready to shave. He doesn't really share his shaving experience with me but when he was done all I can say was that he was pleased and happy with the outcome. He said, he liked how it glided against his skin and didn't catch any hairs in the process. It was easy for him to hold and grip which is a plus for him as he has huge hands. He really liked that with a push of a button you can pop the old blade off and then pop the new on. He was so happy and got a nice clean close shave and after seeing his results I highly recommend this razor and not to mention it is a great razor for beginners as well.

I've tried single blade, double blade, triple blade and quadruple blade. You don't need a hundred blades on your razor, you need a good angle and at most, two blades. The angle of the blades on this razor aren't nearly aggressive enough. I'm really glad to have tried such a terrible razor after years of trying to find a good one because now I've finally had enough and am going to buy a double edged razor. Tired of buying disposables that are mediocre at best. Tired of making several passes with and against the grain. Do yourself a favor and buy yourself a quality DE razor like Maggard or a Merkur. Will last a lifetime, more cost efficient and will always give you a better shave than disposables. Not to mention you'll feel as cool as your grandpa. The second worst ravors of my life! i went through 3 of them that just would not shave or cut a thing! Putting the razors heads on was a pain, not to mention you can put them on just as easily upside-down -- good luck shaving then! I bought another version of the same brand, same result. Their blades are not lined up properly. The one that shaved the best had one blade off angle.
This review is for the BIC Hybrid 4 Flex razor. The packaging was easy to open (always a plus). The razor is lightweight, has a nice grip, blade heads are easy to load. When using the BIC, there were a couple occasions where I shaved one side with it, and the other side with my usual twin blade disposable, just to compare the two. The BIC gave a smoother shave on the flattish sides of my face, and with fewer passes, but it pulled a whole lot more than the twin blade. The BIC also rinsed easier, surprising. Looking at and feeling my five-o'clock shadow later that evening, I could not tell a difference... this leads me to think that the four blades give a smoother edge to the hairs, but do not necessarily shave closer to the skin. The BIC Hybrid failed in more areas than it succeeded. The blade head was too bulky for defined edges on goatee and sideburns, and for delicate shaving (ears). For the same reason, it did poorly on compound curves (jawline) and softer areas of the neck. So in the end, I had to use two razors for one shave. The blade head produced razor burn on the fourth use, same as my disposable twin blades. I would expect twice as many blades to last at least twice as long, but no. I also could not get use to that "click" the hinge made every time it touched my face. I wanted to like this razor, and gave it a fair shot. If you have tough or dark stubble, or facial hair, keep shopping.
I've been using this BIC Hybrid 4 Flex Disposable Razor for nearly a month. At 36, I've mainly used 2-blade disposable razors. I also shave once every 3-4 days. The shave I get from this BIC razor is comparable to the shave I expect from a 2-blade disposable. One noticeable difference is I typically get five or six shaves out of a 2-blade razor and it's quite dull - this BIC Hybrid 4 is still going after eight shaves, I don't notice the blades becoming dull and I haven't had to go over the same areas of my face multiple times. The only real drawback I can see is I typically have a bit of length to my facial hair when I shave and my 2-blade disposable razor removes this hair without issue - the BIC Hybrid seems to jump around on longer hair and I need to first shave ... MoreI've been using this BIC Hybrid 4 Flex Disposable Razor for nearly a month. The only real drawback I can see is I typically have a bit of length to my facial hair when I shave and my 2-blade disposable razor removes this hair without issue - the BIC Hybrid seems to jump around on longer hair and I need to first shave with the grain of the hair to trim it down, then shave against the grain of the hair to take it down to skin-level. Overall, this is my first experience with a 4-blade razor and I like it. The product, itself, seems to be well-made. The handle feels quite strong and reliable. The system for changing out the blades is extremely easy, yet I don't feel concerned the blades will pop off at any point.
I only shave my face and head about once a week, first with an electric trimmer then a disposable 6-blade Dorco razor to get my face and head shaved smooth. This week I tried a 4-blade Bic Hybrid Flex and it did a comparable job. It got me shaved just as smooth and without irritation. I usually have to go over each area two or three times and I did with this as well. One main difference I noticed is that the Dorco's head moves a lot more in relation to the handle while the Bic's head only has very slight movement. It feels more locked in, which I like as with the Dorco I often press a finger against the head to keep it from rotating. It feels more locked in, which I like as with the Dorco I often press a finger against the head to keep it from rotating. The blades in the Bic's head seem to bend more to the curve of my scalp than the Dorco, which is also good, and I found it easier to get the hair out of those blades. The Dorco's 6-blades seem to really trap hair so I have to rinse it and and smack it alternately several times to get the hair out. For the Bic I just had to rinse and tap once. I like the way the Bic handle connects to the head as it has two connection points, one on each side. On the Dorco the connection point is one small little plastic tab and when it breaks the head has to be tossed. The Bic's handle is lighter than Dorco's metal one and is more comfortable to hold, providing a gray rubber grip outlining a textured area all along the length of the handle. I had my wife try this as well to see what she thought, but they didn't work as well for her as they did for me. It got most of the hair but after going over the same spots several time to she switched over to her Venus razor to get the stubborn stubble that the Flex 4 kept skipping over. So she's going to stick with her Venus. For me, I like how this Bic Hybrid Flex 4 works when compared to my Dorco, but what I don't like is that Bic doesn't sell refills. Once the four heads are used up a whole new pack is required, handle and all. This seems like such a waste.
I loved that my BIC Comfort 3 Advance Disposable Razor came in a pack of three. Fit perfectly in my hands and fave me perfect close shave. Didn’t have to worry about the blades being dull and I loved they after using I can disposal of the razor and used the next one. Left my under arm with a nice clean shave.
I’ve tried EVERY sensitive skin woman’s razor , and also a brand named Harry’s (which wasn’t worth the money in my opinion) that i could possibly find at Walmart and everything breaks my skin out and makes it itch like absolute ****. This is the one razor that has only made me break out very VERY minorly. Hardly any reaction to this razor besides one area but it’s not horrible as nearly as other razors I have used. In my opinion, this razor smoothed my skin and made it a lot less irritated like most razors. If you have sensitive skin, definitely give this a shot. Use a sensitive skin shaving cream with it and all should be good.
I have to admit, I have become a pretty lazy shaver. I usually only shave about twice a week, no big deal because I am self employed and work from home, so no boss giving me dirty looks because of my stubbly face. When I do shave, I shave my head along with my face, so I was excited to try the BIC Hybrid 4 Flex Disposable Razor. I was hoping it was up to the task of heavy stubble on my face and head, and it was. The packaging that the BIC Hybrid 4 Flex Disposable Razor came in was easy to open and the razor and blade was easy to assemble. I did not have that problem with the BIC Hybrid 4 Flex, it rinsed clean with just water and I was ready for the next stroke. I highly recommend the BIC Hybrid 4 Flex because it just works like it is supposed to. It gives you a nice clean shave every time. Whether you are an everyday shaver or a more laid back shaver like myself, you can't go wrong with this product.
