Big Agnes Copper Spur HV UL2 Bikepack Tent

I actually have the 3 person non-biking version of this tent and when I saw it in the 2p bikepacking version, I knew I needed it for bike camping. These tents are super light and very easy to setup. They are also very roomy inside because of how the ceiling is designed - the top is pushed out above the doors and gives you good headroom. This 2p version is great for one person but manageable for two. The foot area narrows so it caused my two rectangular Klymit sleep pads to overlap there. It would likely be fine for mummy style pads. There is also not much room for gear inside the tent floor if you are sleeping a second person, but the loft on these tents is amazing and stores so much. The quality and ease of this tent is amazing. The perfect pitch every time. If you're looking to get into ultralight or switching from rocking a hammock -> this is the way to go. Tested hard on a thru hike with two of the 8 days a complete soak out, the inside of the tent stayed absolutely dry. Even when you think you picked the perfect spot, 1 &1/2” of rain changes things. Using the fly and BA’s footprint, you can quickly set that up to gather yourself saving all the crap in your pack and keeping the inside tent dry to set up. Never be wet and try to sleep @ 40 degrees. The hang dry time is fantastic and packs down easy every time with the provided sacks that hold up great in your pack or very securely on your bike. In a pinch you could fit 2 people but it’s perfect for you, all your gear, and maybe a dog. Anyone that’s been out 5+ days of hitting hard backcountry knows it doesn’t smell peachy- no need to x2. I can’t say enough about the easy of setting up and breaking down. It almost want to put itself together, the rods with act like a Transformer once you get them going and the buckles/tie downs leave you with a nice strong tent. Got a bunch of dirt and leaves inside, no worries -just grab the frame attached to the tent, leave a vestibule open and lightly shake that out. Go easy with the zippers, stay away from open flames, watch for sharpe rocks/ thorns, clean with recommended soap, and this tent should be a winner for many years of adventure!

I bought this tent for its weight and volume, and was not disapointed on that front. The tent is super lightweight and the small poles make it small to pack, especially on a bike packing trip.The vestibules are very roomy, but the interior feels tight for a 2 persons tent (compared with MSR huba huba).The material does feel very fragile, make sure to buy the footprint! It also often get stuck in the zipper, so you have to be extremely careful.The main issue with this tent is probably one of its selling point: the doors. I liked how you can open then entirely when its a nice evening. However, the design is very inconvinient when its raining or when the tent is wet from condensation.
