These Billy’s are cute, comfortable and easy to put on especially for child with SMO’s or other orthotics. However, these are plain black Billy’s that I’d say any boy or girl can wear. Yet Billy’s has these categorized as being a Girl shoe. Very odd to me since they seem gender neutral since it’s a basic color and shoe. It’s just annoying when buying them and having them say these are under the girls section when I’m shopping with a boy.

Billy shoes are amazing shoes. The zipper opening allows a child or an adult to put on the shoes without a fuss in under a minute. My daughter has a wealth of special needs, and she has to wear AFOs to walk. I have struggled for years to find a shoe that fits over her AFOs without tugging and pulling and fighting to put on her shoes everyday. Then I found Billy shoes and life has changed so much for both of us.The shoes fit true to size, and they easily adapted for special needs kids. Plus, Billy has expanded the fabrics and designs, so now my daughter's shoes are stylish. This year's the blue denim sparkle style shows the wear less and the sparkles are so fun. I am so grateful for the zipper design and that she can wear cute shoes like other children!
My daughter wears custom feeding ankle braces and the Billy shoes have been just great! I do hope they will make a better sandal for the summertime as the ones I purchased last year or just simply too tight and didn't fit the same way the sneaks & boots do. Also would love a high top slipper for those cold months! Last but not least it would be great if there were some dress shoes available as people with disabilities who were supportive braces and orthotics don't have any other choices.Thank you for all that you have accomplished this far to bring joy to footwear for people with disabilities!
My daughter wears a 0.5 cm lift in one shoe, and these were recommended by her PT. They are high quality and well made. Nicely padded, thick sole. The zipper works exceptionally well. My daughter can be very picky about her shoes, but she likes these. I was concerned she might have trouble with how high they are and the sides are stiff. The soles are higher off of the ground than other shoes, almost like a platform shoe, but she walks well in them so it is not a problem. The stiff sides might be providing extra support. We get a lot of compliments on the color. I don’t think the zipper is noticeable and I usually have to point it out to other people.As for size, my daughter is a toddler 9 in Converse and she also wears a toddler 9 in Billy. I was really impressed with the ease of ordering and the speed of receiving the shoes. These are quality made shoes and the craftsmanship of the shoes will lend to the durability and wear of the shoes. I'm very happy with my purchase overall. I just want to take this time to thank Billy for the inclusion aspect of their product. My grandson was born with weak ankles and has to wear braces. The unique design of the shoe makes putting the shoes and the braces on him a comfortable proposition for his parents and the child.

I bought this for school shoes as part of the uniform . My kids school requires all black shoes. I usually buy converse or vans in all black but I was very intrigued by how you zip them on. My child loved it and it saved us time in the morning hussle to get out the door. However when his shoes get dirty I wash them and dry them on shoe dryer but these completely got destroyed after a wash. Also looked significantly worn out and zipper about to break before I wash them. My child read the story that comes with the shoe and we would like to keep supporting this company. In fact I just ordered the second pair but we would love to see quality improve. With a rough and active boy ; we were able to have this shoe only for few weeks.
