I received this as a sample in one of my many monthly subscription boxes, and immediately made it part of my daily routine. First I wash my face, and following a thorough rinse, I apply this lovely bioderma essence lotion. I then clean up my sink area, and allow the essence to fully absorb. I then continue on with the remainder of my nightly ritual which includes an oil, another serum, and a moisturizer. I feel like this essence fully prepares my face for the additional products I use. Very nice, easy application, and is fully absorbed. Wonderful.

I've tried numerous products for my sensitive and dry skin and nothing is surpassing this! The Bioderma essence lotion is by far the best lotion I have found and applied to my skin. I have dry and very sensitive and easily irritated skin. I do not like fragrances in my products as it burns my face and leaves me super red and irritated. This glides on almost like water and absorbs so quickly it seems as though my skin is drinking it. My skin feels so wonderful and that dry and stretched feeling that I have to endure is gone after I apply it. Additionally, it has not caused any pores to clog or made any breakouts appear. Delicious smelling luxurious face & body lotion. I use all over my body for a beautiful fresh fragrance and hydration. Really fantastic in humid, skin drying weather of SEQ.
This seems like a good product, but it somehow didn't suit my skin. Its thickness is nice, and it is easy to apply. It dries a little sticky, but I was willing to deal with that if I had good results. However, I had a pretty bad reaction to this product. It left my skin very red and very irritated, and it was getting worse after a few days use. I guess my skin just doesn't agree with one of the ingredients. I recognize, however, that this might not be everyone's case, and that some people might have great results with this product. I'll probably just give away my (almost) full bottle, since I can't use it myself.
I had never tried this before and was pretty pleased with it. It came in a 6.67 fl oz bottle. It is more of a serum than a lotion though so that was a little misleading. It does go on nicely and my dry flaky skin seems to be softer and have much more hydration to it. It works especially well when healing from sunburns. I really enjoy it and the benefits to the skin
I use this essence using the traditional Asian method. After washing, I'll put some in my hands and then on my face about 5 times. I'll let each layer dry before applying the next. I don't use cotton balls because it wastes product and more product is absorbed into the skin. After the 5th layer I apply Bioderma moisturizer. This process completely saturates the skin. My skin is very dry and peels sometimes. This product and process works really well for me and gives me supple, plump, glowing skin.
I live in Texas and love this essence lotion! I had never used anything like this before - an essence! sounds so fancy - but was intrigued because I always need more hydration, but sometimes putting on moisturizer and sunscreen can be a lot and doesn't fully absorb, and I don't always like to have SPF in my regular moisturizer - so this solves that problem. It's light but I still feel like I'm putting lotion on, and it acts as a nice primer for makeup and/or sunscreen.
This is the first essence I've used, and I totally get the hype! I have sensitive, acne-prone skin, and my skincare routine isn't super complicated. After using this, my skin retained that "post wash" plumpness that quickly fades away - for me at least. After cleansing and toning, I add a few drops to my hands and pat it into my face and neck, then add my serums and lotions. It's really been a game changer!
This is sooo Liquidy but, works soo good! it left my skin hydrated and feeling so fresh. its not the typical type of thick lotion that you would be used to. but, this stuff works GREAT. i would totally recommend for someone with dry skin like i do. left my skin feeling so hydrated.
