Biossance Squalane + Marine Algae Eye Cream

This is the first time I’m trying a product by Biossance, a brand renowned for its ethical and cruelty free principles. With its claim to lift and firm the eye area, I was excited to try this eye cream. ❤️ The cream is a peach coloured lightweight texture, a lot more lotion like than the previous eye cream I was using. When I started using this, I was picking up way too much product. A tiny amount - not even half a pea size amount - is more than enough. ❤️ I use my ring finger to apply this to my under eye area and just below the brow bone. There appears to be a glitch today because the app is making me do two daily tasks and I can’t exit out. I have used two jars of this, I just don’t currently use it or have it, thus no personal pictures. I really like a lot of Biossance products, especially the two eye products. The Marine Algae Eye Cream is a lightweight cream that targets fine lines, wrinkles, dryness and loss of firmness and elasticity. This is very creamy, smooth and once again, hydrating (it has glycerin, jojoba, sodium hyaluronate, panthenol, Vitamin E and of course, Squalane). It feels luxurious and you only need a tiny amount, so the jar lasts a very long time. I used this at night and sometimes layered it over the peptide eye gel. I can’t say that I saw a major difference in fine lines and wrinkles, but to be fair, I don’t have a major issue with those even though I do have “mature” skin. I would say this is more hydrating than anything though and the pink hue is nice for color correcting dark circles, so maybe this would be best used during the day by someone with dark circles in their 20’s- early 40’s without major fine lines and wrinkles. I certainly recommend it for that.

Over 4 weeks I’ve noticed my fine lines under my eyes and crows feet become minimized and puffiness being toned down. One of my favorite things about this eye cream is that it’s formulated to prime and color correct the delicate area beneath your eye. It smooths the skin under my eyes and that when worn under makeup there is no piling or creasing from concealer and foundation. 34 yo with moderate dryness and mild to moderate hollowness under eyes. This is top 2 eye creams I have ever used, might be first place. I have used everything under the sun; olehenriksen, keihls, tatcha peony, Sturm, list goes on. This is equally, if not more, effective than my previous HG, Algenist's under eye cream.I apply liberally (too much gets into my eyes) and not only has it been helpful for fine lines, but really did firm and fill my under eye area. Nothing is an overnight miracle, but this has absolutely given me results. Very hydrating, feels smooth on, without a silicone feeling atop. Layers well under makeup and my skin feels hydrated all day, not just immediately following.

I bought this Biossance Marine Algae Eye Cream in the Oceana set alongside the Rapid Plumping Serum. While I ended up liking the serum, this eye cream simply could not win my heart. It seems very basic and I haven't really seen any deep-moisturizing or skin smoothing effects and I get better results replacing it, for instance, with my Tatcha facial moisturizer. The Marine Algae Eye Cream does not really have any fragrance, but if I had to say something about the smell, it is mostly odourless, but with a nod towards unpleasant. The consistency is somewhere in the middle in terms of thickness. The cream is not overly greasy and absorbs well enough to not cause issues when layering products on top. Caused Skin Irritation/Watery Eyes

I bought and started using this product about two months ago with no noticeable issues. About two weeks ago I noticed the inner area under my eyes turn red, dry, puffy, with really fine vertical lines. My eyes started to continually water to the point where I’d wake up with dry, white tear crust all around my eyes and a burning sensation. No new products were introduced to my skincare routine. I stopped using all but the Squalane + Omegas Repair Cream to let the irritation heal, and then started adding treatments back to my routine to narrow down the culprit. Unfortunately it appears to be this eye cream. The moment I added it back in, I woke up with the same irritations. Especially for those with sensitive skin, this a huge help in picking the right products and not wasting money!So far I have no problems with using the Omegas Repair Cream and Vitamin C Dark Spot Serum. Love both and will continue to use.

I've been trying it out for 3 weeks already. I decided to used it only on one eye and compare it to an eye cream that I've used religiously for years. I just felt like there must be something better out there than what I am used to. Here is the conclusion: it is pretty decent. I did notice a SLIGHT difference on the side where I was using Biossance. I wanted to post pictures... but to be honest, you can't tell a different on pictures at all. But it made my undereye look a bit more hydrated, the super small lines aren't visible.Pros: it hydrates! It is very comfortable to have on, not greasy at all and just perfect! It sinks into the skin really fast!!! so applying makeup in the morning was easy. Doesn’t stand behind their product if purchased elsewhere

I received this product as a part of a gift set as a birthday gift. Was eager to try as I had read and heard good things about Biossance. However, when I opened the eye cream it looked like something had gone wrong in manufacturing process. Product did not look completely smooth and looked as if perhaps the machine filling the container had run out of product as it had what appeared to be a big air pocket between what was at bottom of container and was at top of container all to one side. I contacted customer service and they asked me to send pics of it which I did. They responded “that is not definitely not the usual quality of the Eye Cream.” They asked if I knew where the gift set was purchased and I stated I did not but guessed it was either directly from their ... MoreI received this product as a part of a gift set as a birthday gift. I was not asking for a replacement of all the items in the gift set but just the eye cream or even a sample of it to try since I have trouble finding an eye cream that doesn’t bother my eyes. I was surprised they would not stand behind their product no matter where it was purchased. So beware where you purchase Biossance from. If it was purchased from anywhere other than their website they don’t stand behind their product even if it’s obviously a manufacturing error.

This changed my mind about eye creams..sort of!

I've been staunchly anti-eye cream for a loong time, long before it was common wisdom that you don't need an eye cream/your regular moisturizer is just as good. I only tried this product as it came in a value pack with a product I wanted. It didn't change my mind about eye creams not being necessary, but it did change my mind in the sense that this one is just a really nice product worth trying if you want to do a little extra pampering or splurge!It's a really nice texture (unlike most eye creams?) - not oily or greasy at all! It soaks right into my skin and visibly plumped my crows feet area. To be clear, don't expect too much in terms of erasing wrinkles! I find if a product is too drying, it's horribly uncomfortable in the eye area; too oily and that's no good either. This is perfect! I often have difficulties with irritation from sunscreens in the eye area, and wearing this underneath really seems to help. Normally mineral sunscreens just suck the moisture out of my face (especially around the eyes), but not with this and the omega repair cream underneath! It layers really well under sunscreen and makeup...I may actually purchase the full size when I run out of the mini!
