Bird Kabob - Ole 38cm

Ole Bird Kabob was brilliant! Given to us as a gift, we will be getting more! My Pink and grey Galah loved it, as did my Alexandrine, and our Greenwing macaw adored it utterly!!! I only wish they came in ten times the size!!A great toy for all sizes of parrots and aviaries with mixed species. What the bigger birds dropped in the way of chunks they hadn't reduced to splinters and powder , was also picked up and 're-chewed' up by smaller birds again, Outstanding!!!

Bird Kabob Toy Ole Jr 2" x 7" long

I decided to try these Kabob toys this winter as a distraction for my African grey timneh and for my sun conure. Both birds love these toys and Kabobs are sooo great for chewing and "beating up"...If you know what I mean. I tease my conure with a chewed off piece of Kabob by putting it into his round, chew, tree tunnel. He works hard at pushing it around and tries to get it out of there...very funny, and fun for him!! Also, the part that is still hanging from the top of the cage is slammed and pushed daily. My African grey has one in her cage as well as one in her own personal cupboard, in our kitchen. She spends plenty of time with that one, digging, chewing out the centers of these disks, and it really does keep her occupied.

Great Entertainer

My Timneh African Grey loves this toy. I don't keep them in his cage so he won't get tired of them. He has other toys and I use this when I am going out of town. I also leave the TV playing for him, but he was sometimes picking some feathers out before I got home. With this mini or original kabob for entertainment, feather picking is no longer an issue. I know he does not like me leaving, but I think it was mainly boredom. I also have a friend who feeds him and spends some time with him daily when I am gone. I think he would agree this is our favorite toy.

Great for cockatoo type birds too

I buy this for my long billed Corella as she is an avid chewer. It keeps her entertained for hours and I love watching how she hollows it out. Great product.

Kabobs are #1

I have 7+ different toys from rope type, Folded paper to PVC. Nothing is even close to the activity when I put a new kabob up for my three keets. I buy the original size and they get a new one every week. Do they last a week you ask, No. My three birds work on them all day for about three day at which point there's nothing left but well exercised parakeets. Then they play with the ropes and paper again. I love the kabob's and buy them in bulk...lol Miss ordered the mini's in the picture. I put two of them up this morning REALLY.....

Lots of hours with plenty of chewing

One of my cockatoos has a bad case of scissors beak from being malnourished before he came here, so am always trying to find things for him to chew up.When I ordered these Bird Kabob Toys, I never thought they would last. Birds like to chew, and my birds are certainly no different.I have had these Bird Kabob Toys in my cockatoos cages for just over a month now, and my birds are having a blast chewing them up. I will be purchasing more of these. They are a great value, not expensive, and they seem to hold up pretty well for what my birds do to them.I will also be getting some for my smaller birds in the near future. Parakeet LOVES yucca toys

Honestly one of the few toys my parakeet will consistently go for. I buy a few every month and she shreds through them like crazy. Easy way to keep her busy! Even my cockatiel who generally doesn't care for toys tends to like them. Only downside to them is the mess, but if you clean the bird's area frequently, it isn't a huge deal. Well worth the happy birds!

This toy almost killed my parakeet

This toy is dangerous, at least to a very small bird like a parakeet. Some of the wood comes off in strings. A string got wrapped around my bird's neck, she panicked and tried to fly away, so that was pulling the string even tighter around her neck. If I hadn't been there right when it happened she probably would have choked to death.This is the second time this has happened with a kabob toy. The first time was with the kabob swing, and I thought it was just a freak accident, so I gave it another chance. Now that this has happened twice, I can't take another chance. It's a shame because my birds really love these toys.

We Love These

Our human mommy buys these for us every now and again as a treat. My girlfriend Wendy and I are large Buffon Macaws and we can chew this toy up pretty fast but our human mommy loves our reaction to them that she still gets them for us; mommy and I even have our own special game of tug of war with them. So to all the human mommies and daddies out there we think for small birds or big birds we love this toy and we are we sorry for chewing it up so fast but we love them so much. We definitely would recommend this to all our bird friends,,,,,two thumbs upStan and Wendy

inconsistent

I bought 3 of these Ole shredders because my female budgie shreds the yucca kabobs in about 4 or 5 hours, so that's about $5 or $6 a day just for that one thing. The first Ole I put in their cage was fantastic. They shredded it into a hollow log, but the second and third ones were SO hard, they couldn't get ahold of the wood, so they pretty much left it alone. I took one and snipped through the outer layer of wood with, I think, a tin snip. It took me forever, but they loved that. So, the last one is sitting in my basement ready to be completed, but this one is so hard that I don't know if I can get through it. I'm not sure what to get them. I thought I had found the answer,
