Fits true to size. Have had several pairs in this model and other models over the last 20 years.For some reason the last pair purchased, the sidewall had cracked. Altitude was contacted about the damages and an exchange was completed without incident. 5 Stars to Altitude Sports for their amazing customer service. I will continue to purchase Birks and this model in the future. Would have given 5 star review for these, however I'm not sure why the last pair damaged. Might have been the lemon in the lot as Birks makes a quality sandal. Overall would recommend.

Brought these for my wife. Her comment about the sandals were, very hard on the soles of her feet, not comfortable for long wearing. Can only be worn for a short time. Her feet become sore and where the part goes between the toes also hurts. These sandals are well made and the colour is nice. Just not suitable for her feet.

Although highly recommended by my husband I found these sandals especially the thong section, very hard against my feet. I’m not prepared to suffer the ‘breaking in’ process! I’ll continue looking at different styles in the same brand.

This is my 3rd pair of Gizehs, they fit a teensy bit bigger than the last (from about 3-4 years ago) which suits me fine. Usually I poke an extra hole for the buckle but they’re staying on fine without. They’re super comfortable for my problem feet (bunions & arthritis in big toe joint) & I don’t know how I’d manage summer without them! Altitude is great, love this co.!:)
I have always loved Birkenstocks for their great footbed and quality materials. However, I am disappointed in these. The part that goes between the toes is very stiff and hurts my feet. Sadly,I have to return them.
I was looking for a pair of slip on sandals that would last me a long time. These have been great so far. They did take about 3-4 days to feel more comfortable; now about a week and a half later they feel very molded to my foot. I'm really looking forward to owning them as they break-in even more. One thing thats great about Altitude is that they list the European size for this shoe.This gives a much better idea of what size to buy. I am almost always a true 6 in shoes, but my boyfriend surprised be with a size 6 from another store and they were too big. We retuned those and bought the size 36/5 off of Altitude for much cheaper! As for the look, I have very dainty ankles and lower calves and these don't look clunky at all.
This is my 2nd or 3rd pair and I’ll keep getting them until they’re no longer made! Quality is good but with heavy wear I don’t find they last more than 2 seasons but I’m hard on them.
These are classic. So comfortable! They do fit slightly large and I had to exchange them for a size smaller. This was done smoothly and quickly.
Comfy alternative to flip flops - I really like the support in the insole, and the oiled leather is a nice finish. The bit between your toes is plastic. Not sure how well this will break in. I've got blisters from my first walk - hopefully that will soon change
Slightly less quality than my last pair. (Been buying the same ones every 2 years going on a decade).Cork glue drips and small imperfections.Not bad enough to bother with the hassle of returning, but noticeable enough that they shouldn’t have passed quality control (for the price of them!)
