I have been wearing these everywhere from day one, including work.. I am a hairstylist. I am able to stand on them ALL DAY, with out getting tiered feet.. I love the adjustable strap at the back of the shoe as well.. I have had a injured foot & due to the width I have been able to continue working. The only thing I was a little disappointed with, was that the black rubbed off onto my foot through the socks I was wearing. That is starting to go away now..

I bought these after many of my colleagues had given 5 star reviews for them. They are very pricey, but I have high hopes that they will last me a very long time. Tonight is my first night wearing them, and so far they are great! the only thing I wish they had was more holes on the straps, but I can also easily add those in myself!

I adore the sandals, I wear them as slippers around the house. I saw these and had to try them to replace my sneakers. Like any Birks they take some getting used to. I have very prominent ankle bones and thought after three 12 hr shifts I was going to return them. No raw skin, but just annoying to feel it around your ankle. I need something I can run to codes in so the clogs without the strap are out of the question. I read some reviews and gave them a full month challenge. I will not be returning these. I wish they had more colors!
Initially ordered a half size down, but was still too wide and loose.Once I reordered a full size down, it fit perfectly and is very comfortable.Goes well with scrubs worn at work at the medical clinic.
The grip and the heel strap make these better and safer than my old Bostons for hospital work. The heel is slightly squared off too which hopefully cuts down on heel breakdowns over time. Size 8 or 9 shoe 41 fits perfect.
As always, these do not disappoint. Like the sole on this shoe along with the back strap. Very comfortable and a classic that can be worn to work as a nurse as well as with jeans and a sweater. This particular version is the wider one, not narrow so may not fit as well with narrower feet but otherwise great quality!!
After much research and consideration, I finally purchased these Birks with birthday money (so I could justify the expense). All of the reviews I read said that these were great shoes and people could wear them for hours without foot pain. So I decided to try them. Happy to report that they are awesome! I wore them all day without socks on a cool fall day and they were fantastic. My feet weren't sore at all (from plantar fasciitis). I think they are also kind of cool looking- I have them in white. I would highly recommend and I'm so glad I tried them out. This is my 5th pair of Birks and they are the best.
With a 3 days 12 hours shift these became like a part of my anatomy! My family have been using Berkies for decades ever since my kiddos were toddlers now the baby is 22 oldest is 27 summers young. Love these Tokyo Berkie! It’s dear but if you love your feet you’ll invest on good footwear! I even hiked with it at Great Basin Teresa Lake! No slip and slide just pure comfort!
I am a chef so having comfortable shoes with good grip is essential.These do the job and then some, very light for hours of work and very safe on smooth floors. this is my first pair but i will be replacing them with the same shoes. great quality shoe they feel very sturdy.
