The suction on this is amazing. It picks up everything apart from large pieces. It works well on kids messes, sucks up all of the cat hair as well. I was looking at a different kind of floor cleaner and am glad that I got this one. It works really well on my muscle mat as well as other floor rugs which is a bonus. It is easy to clean out and kind of fun to use. It takes far less time than sweeping or vacuuming and then mopping with the added bonus of faster drying. I have lino floors and it leaves them looking lovely and smelling fresh. One of the kids put noodles on the floor and I thought why not, it sucked them right up as well as baby messes. It is loud, so not good for when baby or kids are sleeping, unless they sleep through noises.

I took along time to finally decide on the Crosswave and I'm annoyed at myself. I read the reviews and yes, it is loud but it doesn't bother me. I have an R12 slip rate kitchen floor tile that is horrendous to clean. It always looks patchy and mucky. Not any more! I also have a wet room with a non slip textured vinyl floor that also wouldn't come clean, even after washing it on my hands and knees. I went over the surface twice at different angles and it looks brand new again. I would highly recommend the Crosswave for anyone that has a non slip 'pitted' floor surface, it is what you've been looking for. My only wish is that companies still came to your house to demo their products on your actual floor surface so you can buy the right one first time as they are ... MoreI took along time to finally decide on the Crosswave and I'm annoyed at myself. This machine cleans my kitchen quarry tiles beautifully. My area rugs were very stained I used my own mixture of Fairy Platinum Gel they came up a treat, stains all gone. I liked the cleaning solution supplied with machine for my hard floors being a mixture of ceramic and wood both of which gleamed and smelt lovely. The machine is very light and easy to clean. I wish that I had bought a cordless one but financially it was too expensive maybe next time. The only thing I don't like about it is the floor release button is situated on one side which can be awkward whilst using. l would thoroughly recommend this machine great purchase

Game Changer for my house...
16 June 2022

I purchased a cordless competitors brand and sent it right back as the suction and cleaning on large areas wasn't for me. This machine however honestly has made life so much easier as my whole downstairs is hard floors and we have a large garden, kids and animals. The cord is fairly long so it keeps a constant power, and you only have to unplug and re plug once. The suction on the hoover element is great it picks up all pet hairs and tree bits that blow in and kitchen spills. I made full use of discounts at the time so reduced the cost - although it still cost more than the competitors cordless version. This has replaced both my GTech Airram and mop bucket for my hard floor areas. I made full use of discounts at the time so reduced the cost - although it still cost more than the competitors cordless version. This has replaced both my GTech Airram and mop bucket for my hard floor areas. I don't like the smell of the Bissell multi floor liquid, it's very expensive and it isn't antibacterial so I (against manufactures recommendation) use an alternative and so far it's worked well. Once a week I properly clean the brushes in the sink and dry them at the machine otherwise they can leave streaks especially if you've previously used it to clean up muddy areas. But again so would a mop. Yes you have to rinse the removable elements after each use (you do otherwise they begin to smell) but you'd have to wash and rinse your mop bucket too and it takes a couple of minutes. It doesn't clean to about 1/2 inch to the skirting boards or corners (it does hoover to the boards not the corners) so once a week I clean the corners and boards with a floor cloth. I've noticed when cleaning under sofas or chairs/tables the brushes don't touch the floor after a few feet i.e the machine doesn't go completely flat so you have to move stuff to get a proper clean in certain areas. Ie the back of the sofa, but I had to do that anyway. You can inadvertently turn it off or turn it to rug setting with your palm as the buttons are so sensitive but it's not a big deal. It's VERY economical with the water/solution, one tank does a fairly large area. Cons aside I personally absolutely love it

I have a large area with hard floors, tiled and laminate, it used to take ages to sweep then the get the steam mop out or the bucket and mop, now I do it all in one go! The machine sweeps and washes at the same time. I can control how much water and product u put on an area. It's surprising how much muck comes up! Including dog hair( we are in a smallholding so get bits of hay and dust etc coming in! I just clean the filter after each use along with the dirty water collection part allow to air dry I also take the brush out and clean down after each use allow it all to air dry it's keeps it fresh and ready to go. The stand is handy. I've never enjoyed cleaning so much & in it ha 16 year old pooch who has accidents it's great!

Like the worst vacuum and the worst mop had a baby
24 August 2022

Man, I hate to write this review, but this thing is terrible. It's somehow the worst mop and the worst vacuum ever made, all at the same time. Where to begin? It smells. Within one week of correct use, this thing is musty. I turn it on and it smells like a wet basement. I ran vinegar and water through it and it didn't help. And yes, I left the top open to allow the brush to dry. I even cleaned the dump tank with bleach thinking maybe the stagnant smell was coming from there. It's not. The smell is coming from within the machine. When you turn it off, dirty water puddles under it immediately. I think of everything this is what baffles me the most. How the heck did that pass testing? You literally end up with a filthy puddle that you have to clean up with a rag ... MoreMan, I hate to write this review, but this thing is terrible. You literally end up with a filthy puddle that you have to clean up with a rag after using a machine that's supposed to clean up puddles. Like ????I've tried letting it run without pulling the water handle to see if it would suck up that extra water before shut off—nope. A dirty hair and sand filled puddle pools under it immediately after shut off, so you're cleaning that up. And if you're using it on an area rug? Lol. That dirty water dumps right on your rug when you turn it off and it stains it with a six inch long line of brown filth. The area rug washing feature is a joke. Just like when you vacuum an area rug, and it moves all over the place—this is the same thing only with water. It soaks both your floors and your area rugs with way too much water. It takes a solid half an hour for my floors to dry after I use this, and that's with me going over it numerous times to try and soak up the excess water. And on an area rug? It's SOAKED. You're better off just tossing the rug it into the washing machine. It's not for use on carpet. I feel like someone was in a marketing meeting and they were like, "What if we say you can use it on area rugs?" and some mom in the back was like, "But won't the rug just get super wet and gross and then at the end when you turn it off that dirty puddle water thing is going to dump out—" and nobody listened to her and now here we are.The amount of cleaning this requires after every use is enough that I'd rather just sweep and mop separately. You have to touch the inside of the dirty water reservoir to dump the hair and debri, it's gross. Running the brush cleaning feature will empty half your soap tank. It uses more of the soap tank than the actual cleaning does.It doesn't get the edges of walls, so the vacuum feature is terrible. You know how when you vacuum your hardwood floors and the vacuum leaves about a 1 inch gap against the wall that it can't reach and you have to pull out the hose to edge? Well this is the exact same thing, only there’s no hose. You have to pull out a broom to get the crumbs that accumulate against the walls, so you still end up sweeping. It also can't pick up anything large like Cherrios. And for all this, it has the AUDACITY to be $400+. The only time, and I do mean the only time this felt somewhat worth it was on a camping trip in our trailer. It rained and it was muddy and this was a quick clean up for the high traffic areas when dogs came in with sand and mud on their feet.I would never buy this thing again. I don't even want to sell it because I feel bad charging someone for this knowing how awful it is.

Love it on my rugs!
10 December 2022

This is a great vacuum for cleaning & shampooing area rugs, I love that it vacuums my hard floors & cleans them at the same time, but downside is its quite heavy & it doesnt get into the corners as well as a regular vacuum so I still need to sweep around my skirting boards & corners if the floor is really messy. The cordless version wouldnt have enough charge to do my place in one go so I got the corded, but even though its long, I have to wrap it around my arm so I dont go over it. Its also got a pretty smalll barrel for just doing a dry vacuuming, but it has great suction so I still think its been worth it. You do have to purchase their own cleaning solution for mopping so you dont void the warranty. Im not thrilled about that, but on the whole Im still glad I got ... MoreThis is a great vacuum for cleaning & shampooing area rugs, I love that it vacuums my hard floors & cleans them at the same time, but downside is its quite heavy & it doesnt get into the corners as well as a regular vacuum so I still need to sweep around my skirting boards & corners if the floor is really messy. Really good but some small issues
17 February 2023

Look, the product is absolutely so good. It cleans the floors so well and gets the dirty water off too. Reason why its not 5 stars is just some personal issues. One is that I wish you could adjust the water pressure the machine uses. Like sometimes I want to get a stain off the floor and its just back and forth for a few times till it lifts. Second, when the collection take is full it basically cuts off the vacuum making the scariest noise thinking you have ruined the machine, but you havent. I feel like they should improve this but just adding a light on the hand stick, but overall do love it. The bissel chemicals are okay priced, but sometimes (and I know you shouldnt) I do use a tiny bit of floor cleaner (the eucalyptus one) to clean them, does a great job either ... MoreLook, the product is absolutely so good. Works as advertised
16 August 2023

This is the second Bissell product I have bought recently. ProHeat 2X Revolution Pet Upright Carpet Washer Proved to be so good I decided on getting something for the hard floors. It works like a dream, leaves the floors clean and mostly dry, gets dirt and spills off easily and quickly. Its best used when doing larger areas, rather than spot cleaning, reason being its not worth the time to do a rinse and clean of it for small jobs. An added bonus, is that it also does a great job of rigs too, not a deep clean, but great for freshening up and surface dirt. Bissell cleaning solutions work best so worth sticking to them.
