Firstly, theyre super convenient youre just some freshly boiled water and a few seconds of mixing the 2 together away from having tasty gravy literally whenever youd like and, likewise, for whatever youd like. Because of the format being in granule form you can even use less or more water to alter the consistency of the resulting gravy, making it either thicker or more runny. Whats great also is that these gravy granules, though meatflavoured, are not made with any meat whatsoever, but manage quite nicely to make one believe otherwise. Bistos gravies allow me to make fake sausages and the like almost like the real savoury thing. For example, I love using this meatless but convincingly beefflavoured gravy to make what would typically be some pretty uninteresting vegan sausages into a much more exciting meal, with both the sausages and accompanying mashed potatoes covered with the stuff. Though the recipe could admittedly use some tweaking, these granules are thankfully generally healthy. Even better, they also have a reduced salt version, which is worth trying as well.

Family favourite gravy

This is an excellent gravy. Easy to prepare and can be made thick or thinner according to your taste. The granules dissolve completely to give a smooth rich tasting gravy. The taste is great but is enhanced by adding some of the meat juices. Although the standard Bisto powder has the edge on taste for me, this is a quicker alternative and good to have as a standby if needed in a hurry. Nice smooth glossy gravy with a lovely rich flavour.

Flavoursome onion gravy

Really nice gravy and so quick and easy to prepare. Good with a surprising number of different foods & dishes. Good flavour. Add some extra falvour with onion granules when serving with chicken. Also like to stir in some garlic when our sausages are a bit spicier than the usual kind. As a vegetarian it is hard to find gravies but this is excellent. Made thick and poured over mashed potatoes.

Healthier than original

This was a delicious gravy. It has just the right consistency and tasted strong with a lot of depth. I loved the way it is low sodium so healthier for the heart. This is such a great alternative for anyone watching their salt intake without compromising on taste. These bistro granules still taste great with any dish. I really like the taste of the reduced salt version. The colour also seems lighter and prefer the lighter colour sauce on my food. Enough to last for months with long expiry date.
