I’ve found that bicarb can be slightly irritating on my skin if I use it constantly, so this strikes the perfect balance for me. Plus the one for sensitive skin feels so moisturizing and soothing and I just love the feel of it on my skin.If you’re reading this review and thinking of switching to a natural deodorant, you’ve come to the right place. I’ve tried a number of regular and natural roll on deodorants and pastes over the years and this brand is by far the best. I’m so grateful to Black Chicken for creating this amazing product.

I've used many, MANY deodorant pastes. I thought I had a winner with one brand, but unfortunately over time, the bicarb irritated my skin and I could no longer use it. This product is gentle on the skin. It smells awesome. AND it works - it neutralises odors and last ALL DAY!! It doesn't stain any of my clothing and I don't feel wet under my armpits. Love this product. The fact that it doesn't have any of the harmful properties in it, makes it user friendly for all my family to use. And I love that the container is recyclable. Thank you Black Chicken! Love this product!

I tried the original paste which unfortunately I had to stop using due to skin irritation but recently tried the new sensitive skin product and am really happy - no irritation, even after shaving. Performs really well and a pleasurable smell. Happy to see recyclable tin packaging now, will buy that one next time. Well done on a great product.
This must be an Australian product that relies on warm weather to keep it soft. .It's been cold here and I have great difficulty getting it on to my fingers let alone to my Armpits!!!! It's so hard (like a rock). This should do the trick, but if you're still finding it too difficult you could soften the product by placing it in a bowl of warm water, just halfway up the side of the tub. Once it has softened, take it out and try to keep it in the warmest room of your house so it won't harden again.
I have been using Avila deodorant for a while and love it for keeping my armpits fresh and BO free.I just found that it helps me with my dry skin as well! Every winter my hands dry out so much that my skin starts to crack around the tops of my fingers. It is very painful and no matter how much cream I use, rubber gloves for washing up and cleaning they don’t get better. I am also a chef, so I am constantly washing my hands and I actually found that the paste heals the cracks faster than anything else and by applying it to the tips of my fingers, acts as a barrier to prevent further cracking and I can still wash my hands and it keeps working. Try it this winter.
I’ve tried lots of natural deodorants and I keep coming back to this. I started with the Original version but switched to the Barrier Booster and have been using Axila for around 5 years now. The Barrier Booster has a lovely gentle scent and is also gentle on the skin. It doesn’t prevent sweating but allows the skin to breathe while maintaining a fresh scent all day. I sometimes top up on hot summer days but for most of the year, a once daily application is enough. I don’t know what I’ll do if they ever stop selling this!
Originally I was sceptical as I have tried natural deodorants in the past with now success. I started with a sample size tub and I loved it, so bought the full size and now it's the only deodorant I use. It works really well, no sticky feeling, no marks on my clothes, keeps me feeling fresh all day and I am now totally converted.Thanks for a great product!!!

I decided to try the barrier booster version as it is described as having a refreshing citrus scent. I was worried it wouldn't be as effective as the original and was prepared for disappointment. But no! It is eactually better! It keeps me drier, still keeps BO away all day, and I like the scent - it's much fresher and lighter than the original. Only difficulty is in how hard the product is, but I live in a cold climate so guess it's softer in the Australian warmth! And now that I'm further into the tub it's much easier to use. Thank you. I like this product, and it definitely works. I like that it doesn't have a particular odour also.I only gave it 4 stars as at the same time i also bought another one to try the two together. The other one is sister and rubs in better. This one not quite so easy to get out of the container. But that's pretty minor.
