It bounces around a lot. Works well on lower grade sanding, but on higher grades, when trying to smooth paintwork without taking off the paint, it moves too erratically to get the smooth finish without damaging painted surface.

This is a great sander for the price. The bearing on my old device gave up and I needed a replacement quickly. The old sander was variable speed but to be honest it was usually on the max speed. This one can be a little vigorous at times but keep a firm hold and it performs well. Too early to rate durability but at this cost hopefully I won't be too disappointed.

As a complete novice, this tool has been so easy to use and provides a great finish! I have been sanding old pieces of furniture to remove the coloured paint and reveal the beautiful wood underneath. Really recommend it, especially at the price point!

This sander is lightweight and easy to use, Handy dust collector. I found the replacement sandpaper cheap. I sanded my three seater bench in half hour and looks great.
0 stars is not an option, sander burnt out after using for 10 minutes and the disk flew off. Very disappointed with this, what a waste of money. Tried to get in touch with someone regarding trying to send back but the number cuts off straight away and the assistant via chat is useless also!
Had two. Prone to overheating. Mounting screws on pad become super heated melting screw sockets and burning through paper. Bad design for practical uses.
I bought this this week for a woodworking project that needed a bit of sanding. I was only able to use this for ~1.5 hours before it failed. Firstly it spat out a screw attaching the pad to the sander, and left some nice gouges in the surface from the screw head. When I found the screw and put it back in, the other screws were all loose as well. On starting it back up it made a horrible grinding noise and ran at a much lower rpm than prior to losing the screw. I wouldn’t buy this again, I am returning it as faulty and upgrading.
I felt that a rotary sander would be useful on some jobs sitting in power between a mouse sander and the belt sander and offering the rotating function. The little dust bag is a nice feature too and easy to attach and attach. It does a good job. If I have a complaint it’s that the lead seems shorter than I would like it to be. Luckily I have an extension lead
I’ve had a few orbital sanders. This one is my favourite. I don’t understand other reviews- suction? It’s always rather bad that’s why you should connect dust extraction which also cools the pads and improves efficiency. It’s one of the few that don’t leave swirl marks, for example a bit more expensive Bosch is terrible for that.
Lasted less than 30 minutes of sanding before plastic disc melted and sanding pad came loose (as holes for screws all melted) - real shame as this penny pinching ruins an otherwise decent home orbital sander.Staff at Mitre 10 were happy to refund but I went for a different branded sander (which is great)
