The nets also can be torn through regular use. They can be repaired as well with similar weight twine or string. Taping and gluing do not seem to work, so eventually, they split so much that they aren't repairable. We use these goals 2x per week for small-sided pickup games. Our group's experience is that with care and repairs, these goals last between 1-2 years.

Awesome for a young player BUT not for older

this piece is a perfect size and has all the right pieces to it as well as is easy to assemble, but this would only be useful for backyard soccer by someone that is probably either in Elementary or maybe early middle school. The fabric and construction is not strong enough to use for an early teenager or much less an adult. I ordered two to use in a pick up game with some friends of mine and we were able to quickly build it but the fabric started ripping and The material that holds the the rods Together is not strong enough where I would see this lasting more than a couple weeks. Cheap, Fiberglass, Flimsy

Fiberglass design is terrible and gives tiny splinters that you can’t see when assembling! They also are not strong and broke on the second day, only way it holds is with two rods in the front which I used from the second one I got. They should have used metal poles like a tent, terrible design and not worth it when it will break so easily!

Good value but not for long term or everyday use.

I used these for a soccer season for under 7 age group. 2 practices per week for about 7 weeks. So they were assembled and disassembled for every practice.Pros: Fairly easy to setup, takes several minutes. Comes with ground stakes and a carrying bag which is useful. Useful for younger ages, 8 years old and under.Cons: The poles are made of fiberglass with metal interlocks and strung together with an elastic cord. After repeated use, either the fiberglass poles or metal on the poles start to splinter and you can not avoid getting small splinters all over your hands. Also, not suitable for older kids past 9 years old. Great at first, but then watch out...

We bought one of these soccer goals for our kids last year, and were pleased. It was easy (enough) to set up...kind of a pain to take down, but for $20, it is what it is. We liked it so much that a few months later we got a second so they could have a goal at either end of the yard. Recently, however, I was setting up one of the goals and the fiberglass poles shattered all over my hands. Terribly painful, but I didn't want to disappoint the kids since I'd promised them I'd set up the goals, so I tried the second...same story - the second was full of fiberglass shards as well. My husband examined them and said that the inside of all of the poles was flaking apart. I'm just so thankful we didn't get this in our eyes! I'm typing this review with my fingers full of painful fiberglass shards and would caution parents that if they're going to get this product, don't have the kids set it up (make it an adult job), wear leather gloves, and plan to get rid of it at summer's end.

Great idea - but bad execution

I wanted to love this product. Relatively simple design, but when it came to putting to together, it just was a challenge. The support poles consistently fell apart while assembling and the net was always getting in the way.Not to mention the fiberglass splinters that are all over my hands now...had to return the goals.

Misleading Description. NOT Pop-Up

These are not “pop-up” goals and they broke on day one! We got them to use at soccer practice and at home and after it took forever to set them up, we played and I thought they were great. Taking them down and trying to transport is where the problem is. You have to take everything apart to fit them back in the bag. And the rods snapped. Total waste of money and very misleading description. Absolutely NOT “Pop-Up”. If I hadn’t tossed the boxes, I’d return them.

Small - good for beginner toddlers and small kids

This is very small. Fits for my 4yr old that is 3ft tall. But good for just practice and beginners. Bright color and easy to setup but slightly a pain to take apart. You have to be slow and not pull at the poles or they detach from each other and makes it even harder to remove the net. Comes with a bag to carry and store everything which is convenient

This goal SUCKS

I actually bought two of them, and they’ll both be going back to the store ASAP. First of all, it is not easy to put up or take down, so I would not intend to do that often. Secondly, on one goal, one of the nylon straps wasn’t sewed correctly and the stitching was coming undone. I just immediately boxed that one back up. Finally the real problem, we had the 2nd goal almost completely put together, with only 2 corner pieces remaining. As I was about to start the corner on one side, I heard a sound coming from the other side. It was the freaking fiberglass pole cracking. That pole cracked almost the entire length of the little 2 foot section. Then, I obviously had to take it back apart. health and safety hazard!

This product is a health and safety hazard and should not be allowed for sale! It filled my hand with fiberglass spinters that it took a day to pull out by hand with tweezers! I'm familiar with carbon fiber and fiber glass. I know safe handling of these materials including for high impact uses like arrows. They are made of tiny fibers of glass or carbon suspended in a resin and coated with a seal. As long as the seal is unbroken all the fibers stay in and are fine. The minute the seal breaks (typically from flexing or impact) you immediately throw it away. The 19.99 Franklin Blackhawk 4'x3' pop-up soccer goal has fiberglass rods with an insufficient seal for a normal amount of flex in assembly and disassembly. One of the rods split on the second time we assembled it, and split in a way that it exposed many fibers in every direction. This cheap quality fiberglass is a quick way to splinters. If you get carbon fiber or fiberglass splinters they are microscopic so they can go in deeply. But they're inorganic so unlike wood splinters they don't biodegrade OR get pushed out by your skin. Instead they can be driven in more deeply and if your skin heals over them then you're left forever with a painful splinter impossible to see or remove. Stay away from this product! If you do get it do a flex test by lightly bending it before each use. If you hear any crackling or see any splits at all use gloves to toss the rod immediately.
