Blackstar Debut 10E Electric Guitar Amplifier

Great amp except that the overdrive channel is either full on or full off. I love the echo effect.In hindsight would have preferred the 15 watt version. Great bargain price for this.

It's not a bad little practice amp. There's not a lot lot of range on it, but it doesn't boast to be. It has a fairly nice clean channel. The overdrive is a bit lackluster, but it offers a decent little punch. Speakers sound good. They have a good sound just using this as a speaker for an MP3 player through the AUX in. If you're looking for nice cleans and a decent little rock sound in a small form this will do the trick. The AUX and headphone jacks are a nice touch, and do their job. If you're looking for a more heavier sound I would suggest the 15e for a couple of dollars more. Definitely not disappointed.

Super clean tones and the built in delay is hella cool! Always love purchasing from AMS, the payment plans are the only way I can buy the gear I want/need!very fast shipping and customer service is always superior. Would recommend this amp for anyone practicing in an apartment like myself. I’m was surprised at how powerful the 10 watts sounds when I have it cranked.

Generally an excellent sound from this small amp. Just some echo click when you dial in some reverb.Not the loudest amp as expected but very good for practice..Worth considering as many amps this small run on batteries and this mains model is great for home practice

Great little amp

I’m unlikely to ever need an amp big enough to gig with, so this little unit really fit the bill for home practice without winding up the neighbours. But it can get loud enough for me to jam with my son on his drum kit which is useful.The clean tone is particularly nice and surprisingly rich and warm for an amp at this price. The delay hasn’t got a lot of control with just one knob, but the range of delay is really good. The eq doesn’t make a dramatic difference but it does give a bit more range. Still unsure what I think about the overdrive. For the sort of bluesy music I like it is about right but i would like to dial it back a bit more sometimes and that isn’t really possible on this amp. But for £50 i guesss you aren’t going to get every bell and whistle. Nice tone, excellent jamming amp

Very simple and straightforward. It does what it does very well. For the price, it's remarkable. Well built and solid. Limited tonal options, but if you like the sound that's not a problem.I wouldn't consider it for a main practice amp, but for a low price option for the occasional jam in the office when I need to clear my head, it's perfect.Nice mellow tones. Never going to sound like a Fender twin - think more humbucker / middle / lower end grunt. A particularly nice mellow jazz kind of feel can be dialled in as well.It's never going to make you a rock star, but if you want to just sit and play just about anywhere at comparatively low volumes, it's excellent.

Plenty loud enough for most Bedrooms

Now I don't have a lot of experience with guitar amplifiers being a beginner to the whole thing. I have however enjoyed experimenting with the range of sounds I can get from this amp together with the various pick-ups in the guitar. It seems pretty good to me. It perhaps isn't loud enough if you see yourself performing in public but is loud enough for a domestic setting, which I guess is where the market is for smaller practice amps.

Picked up on sale for just £49, less than most pedals, absolutely ridiculous value! Obviously this is a very limited amp, but that's exactly what I wanted. I wanted a tiny little practice amp with bare minimum features so that I can focus on playing, not knob-twiddling and toan-chasing. The EQ and delay dials are an idiot-proof way to shape the sound instantly along quite a good range of totally useable tones. The amp takes drive pedals well if you want something to bridge the gap between the two available channels (pristine clean and fairly high gain). Had almost given up hope coz it's obviously easier for manufacturers to entice low-spenders (who are usually beginners) with a digital thing full of features. I'm so happy that Blackstar came up with this, feels like it was designed specifically for me, a no-nonsense guitarist who has been through the wasteful and unproductive phase of GAS and come full circle, back-to-basics, just want to focus on the actual instrument. Highly recommended.

The delay is cool, that's about it

I bought this amp after not playing for a couple years, been playing around with it for about 4 months before writing this review and I have to say I'm pretty disappointed with it. At first I loved it because of the on board delay effect and I still find it to be a fun addition to this amp. Onto the bad, the eq knob doesn't adjust the tone as much as I had hoped and the overdrive isn't adjustable. If you're gonna play clean this is a great practice amp but if you're looking for a cheap amp that does a lot of things this ain't it pal
