First thanks to BlackboxMyCar!. for 1. Good help available on website to choose a dash cam. 2. customer support, as they kept me in loop as shipment was delayed due to availability. The camera has very good daytime video even with my not so clean windshield. Easy to setup, I guess difficulty increases only when power hard-wiring is done. Also to mention that my camera is single channel so less hassled install. This camera was one of the choice along with thinkware f800 pro (was discounted on website making it comparable to 590W in price). Pros for me: 1. Better frame rate (better legibility when car is moving faster). 2. Variable data capture rate available, more control over video quality and memory card life. 3. Form factor, more stealth then thinkware (only ... MoreFirst thanks to BlackboxMyCar!. for 1. Bought this recently and installed on parking mode with motion detection. I had it installed profesionally (Not Halfords as they didn't seem too confident in product details and process) From word of mouth, Charlton (London) branch apparently are the one to take it to for dashcam installations. The quality of the videos are 1080P, which is okay to get footage. Unable to see other cars' number plate driving past you faster than 20mph. Videos are more grainy than I expected, even in great lighting conditions. Parking mode in the dark is useless, cannot see anything. There is a night mode but it doesn't help.General footage will help in case of an accident yes, but don't expect top quality videos. Tip: If you don't drive your car everyday, there won't be enough charge left for parking mode. I drive 2 vehicles and notice that parking mode doesn't stay on long. If you use your vehicle everyday for at least 1 hour you should be fine.Another tip that I didn't know. If you need to you can install the dashcam upside down (if it fits better in your windscreen that way) then when you go on the App on your phone you can "Flip" it around permanently with a simple click option.I bought this on a discounted price on the Halfords website, cheapest I could find online. I would recommend this dashcam only if you can get it for a really good price, if not, rather spend more on a better quality video dashcam.Note: If you want motion detection, buy a Blackvue (not a Nextbase as they don't have this)

Bought this after looking at the options at Halfords in Dumfries, and there were plenty. This is my first dashcam and picked the Blackvue because of the video quality. If you are buying a camera then surely the video quality is the most important thing. The Blackvue’s quality is brilliant. Super smooth video due to the 60 frames a second, twice as many as other dashcams, proper detail when you freeze frame. Was told the extra frames would be a good thing and it is, specially when compared to the cheaper models that are around. Its great at night too. Easy to fit and even has a wifi connection and app. Also nice and small and not obvious when its fitted. Couldn’t be happier.

I Purchased the BlackVue DR590W-1CH 1080p 60fps Single-Lens Dashcam with WiFi to use in my Recreational Vehicle and wife's car. I have only installed a unit in the Wife's car thus far. The installation process and was very simple and straight forward. The Camera Video recording features are decent and process to update the settings using a smart phone is fairly easy. I will update after the unit has been installed for awhile..Good Luck!
Excellent image quality, wide angle recordingp and neat very discreet installation once fitted, my main reasons for purchasing the unit over alternatives. Only complaint would be that there is no inbuilt GPS for the price, making the unit relatively basic , especially given the price. However the simplicity and lack of a screen are both plus points in my opinion. Have found the unit to be very sensitive to the brand and type of SD card, have tried cards from Transcend and Sandisk, but neither worked. He only card I can get that works is the expensive ones sold by Blackvue themselves.
Happy with my dashcam choice for the most part.Worked great for month or so. After a blackvue app update I can no longer connect to the camera via wifi. So if I need to view any video footage I need to remove the memory card and use a micro sd to USB viewer to connect to my computer. Pretty inconvenient and the wifi viewing WAS a selling point of the dashcam.Blackvue support wasn't much help either.
Bought one without WIFI. Its time is off several hours. Using BlackVue app on Mac, there is no way to adjust time. Asked technique support, no solution. I returned the old one and bought another one which has WIFI. However, the technique team adjusted old one's time using BlackVue app on Windows, not on Mac. And, ***without notice me ***, sent the old one back to me. After several custom support calls, they finally agreed to have a total refund because I bought new one on their website.
This is my second Blackvue dash camera I’ve purchased from The Dashcam Store and I couldn’t be happier. The installs were super clean and simple using the hardwire kit and fuse tap adapters. I’ve recommended several people to The Dashcam Store for a camera for their vehicles. Excellent products and customer service, there’s nowhere else to go.
The quality of this camera is excellent, great form factor, easy to fit, fantastic video quality, great customer support, app is very reasonable...and then you ask; what happens if I want to capture a video clip...manually, that is not auto triggered....you cant. For a £150+ camera I couldn’t believe it. Hence if some poor soul get knocked over or crashed into whilst you are in stationary the only way to capture the event is get moving and slam on the breaks to trigger the accelerometer - what a joke, you have to have create a second incident to capture the first. Do not by this camera - shell out for the next model up or buy a brand which is more reasonably priced.
i got three of these for couple of family members. it was easy to install the camera along with the magic pro hardwiring kit. the instructions to setup the regulations was simple and straight forward. so far I have not run into any issues with the battery draining which was sweet. I have one device that ran into a bit of trouble with the connection via wifi but it might be my settings where it'll aggressively switch to the mobile network which might be causing this to happen. wish there was a way that solved this problem as I lose my network connection when I want to connect to the dash cam which isnt always convenient when I want to quickly view the views on the cam on my phone before i start my trip.
