Beautiful camera quality and frames per second. I love the ability to switch from front to rear or the other way around in real-time without the video replaying at the beginning. Videos have a 1 min save time so on one hand it would be hard to download and splice all the videos together but on the other hand it prevents data loss at any chance of corruption as you'd only lose 1 min max if the file got cut. Sound capture is awesome and the polarizing filter blocks out any glare from the sun. Awesome buy.

I did a lot of research on-line before purchasing this dash cam. I’ve had other front only dash cams, which were pretty basic and only do a very mediocre job. I was looking for a quality front/rear set up and this Blackvue is clearly one of the best around. I was very impressed with the packaging and the quality of this product is clear from the moment you open the box. The fitting instructions were clear and simple to follow. I haven’t hardwired my cameras yet, only using the cigarette lighter plug in but it’s working fine. Took a little while to connect up the rear camera but this will depend on your vehicle. It certainly pays to pay a little more for the BlackVue dash cam as you won’t be disappointed by the quality. Even better if you can get it at a discounted ... MoreI did a lot of research on-line before purchasing this dash cam. After a couple of weeks of use on my first ever dash cam I am quite happy with the video capture resolution and the design and build quality. This unit has more features than I need but the front & rear dual setup with 60/30 fps was paramount. I use a basic install without the parking mode power option enabled and can easily and inexpensively upgrade. The install was very straightforward and the pry tool was easy and effective.I download to my iPad as my phone is older vintage but this works very well and is surprisingly faster than I expected. I have yet to try direct card reading or laptop viewing and I understand the full resolution would be available in that mode.I don't use the cloud function and will never use it due to cautionary privacy concerns in ... MoreAfter a couple of weeks of use on my first ever dash cam I am quite happy with the video capture resolution and the design and build quality. I use this camera system now because I've experienced far too many dangerous driving events around me consistently for too long. If the municipal government will not fund police to adequately patrol then I want self preservation as well as the ability to assist in the form of reporting risky and dangerous drivers. In one single commute yesterday I captured and reported 3 alarming incidents, illegal turn, red light runner & wrong way on a one way street in downtown Ottawa. Two were reported to the police, the wrong way event was a tad too far to get the plate number.I'm hoping for traction in increased police patrols by adding confirmed, recorded infractions to the database.

Great product, Supercheap were fantastic with making a special price and can use the Live Chat function easy. Click and Collect was ready within minutes not hours!Product was easy to set up with the rear camera attaching through the side of the roof with the Pry tool, the front camera is good and it's a good Blackvue App to use for wifi and recording lasts up to 3 Days (Including Rear Camera)..The fuse wiring to tap, it isn't very described well or video of how to wire tap or connect up and you have to do this yourself and the steps are not very clear and precise how to choose the right fuse and could be better in this area for the product.
First one came DOA, so had to RMA and exchange it.Take note that any pre-existing wiring will need to be redone because they've changed the barrel plug for a TRS barrel plug (3 wire, red, yellow, & black).I had a DR650GW-2CH and had it wired up to my OBDII port. That harness has a barrel plug with only 2 wires (red & black). So if you've hard wired it to your car you'll need to redo it with the new wiring kit they supply, or splice the new plug with your old wiring. In my case, I spliced the red and yellow wires of the new plug to the red of my existing wire harness, and the black of the new plug with the black of the harness. This behaves the same as being plugged into the 12v accessory plug 24x7.The bracket that mounts the front camera to the windshield is ... MoreFirst one came DOA, so had to RMA and exchange it.Take note that any pre-existing wiring will need to be redone because they've changed the barrel plug for a TRS barrel plug (3 wire, red, yellow, & black).I had a DR650GW-2CH and had it wired up to my OBDII port. This behaves the same as being plugged into the 12v accessory plug 24x7.The bracket that mounts the front camera to the windshield is also slightly different. The new camera doesn't sit properly in the old mount, but the old camera sits fine in the new mount, which is strange also. I haven't replaced the mount yet cause I don't have anything that can peel off the old mount's double sided tape. So I'll live with a non-fitting mount for now till I get something.Minus 1 star for those stupid issues. The rear camera cable is the same, so I didn't have to re-run that cable which is nice.Besides the issues stated above, camera works good so far.
Installs easily and unobtrusively at the top of the windscreen / rear hatch window. Plenty of cable length. I did buy fuse taps ("Add-A-Circuit" if you buy through Repco but cheaper at electronics store) and cut the length of the hard wiring cable, but you can just use a cig lighter cable if you don't want parking mode. Rolled up the excess rear camera cable and stowed it behind the trim in the hatch.Vision is clear through both front and rear cameras.SD card holds a decent quantity of recordings, more than enough to get home from a holiday and review / offload them (although I'm not running it at FHD as there's no need).Android app connects easily and allows you to configure / disable the various sensitivities (such as turning off the nanny modes on ... MoreInstalls easily and unobtrusively at the top of the windscreen / rear hatch window. Default setting might suit a Prius but kept flagging recordings of my 2.0L. Also had to reduce impact sensitivity because at the default setting the whole trip to Busselton flagged as impacts from just driving on the highway - and this is a brand new car.)
BlackVue dash cams have always had the reputation as one of the best. Looked deep and wide and they came up as the best available. Also came with bits to assist with installation including a trim tool which was a welcome addition, and both power cables to suit each installation method. It is a very high quality product and hope it works as good as it looks. SuperCheap offered me a good price for 2 units.
6th purchase from Dashcam store. Bought cameras for all my family's cars. The investment has paid off - I like the ease of shopping and the section of manufacturers to choose from. These Dashcams are worth their weight in gold in todays environment of distracted drivers. Dashcam store is a great one stop shop to get everything for installation.
I've only had the dash cam for a week and it's too early to review the product. It's fine. If it doesn't record a collision in park mode or starts draining the battery despite advertising battery protection it won't be fine. But so far it hasn't. Too early to tell. The review is of the purchase process since I received this email prompting me to post a review. This was one of 8 (EIGHT!) emails that I consider to be complete and utter spam that I received during my purchase of 1 product. I don't appreciate the spam. Other businesses manage to conduct day to day without spamming.Otherwise price was competitive with, say amazon, and product arrived new with unbroken packaging seal.3 stars for you.
I've purchased from here before so nothing new to add really. I've always been pleased with the service. Live chat is great and any questions were always answered promptly with clear answers. Shipping was immediate. As for the camera, in case anybody wants to know, I like Blackvue cams and have had them for years. I use a dual cam on the motorcycle. It's certainly not built for nor intended to be used in the outdoors but it's performed very well for about three years. Lately, I've noticed some of the segments haven't been recorded and are coming up as a white screen. Sometimes the rear camera fails to record. This isn't a complaint. I figured I'd just replace it and perhaps experiment with this one to see if I can figure out what's up with it. Yes, I know there's a ... MoreI've purchased from here before so nothing new to add really. I've always been pleased with the service. Yes, I know there's a dual cam made for motorcycles and 4x4s but I wasn't convinced I wanted it after reading other reviews. Blackvues have amazing sound and video quality...which is exactly what you want to have when it matters most. Pic shows rear cam under tour pack. Front is behind the windscreen
