I replaced my Blackvue 750S-2CH as it did not work properly after the warranty expired and was hesitant to stay with the brand. However after talking to BlackboxMyCar staff (chat/email and in person) about the options of other dash cams, I decided to upgrade to the 900X-2Ch IR and went with 2-dual IR dash cams for my truck. The 900X does fit in the 750S mount so I didn’t have to replace the main windshield mount which was nice, however the cable is a different story. The provided cable for the IR dash cams are very short, yet I needed at least another 1-2 feet for my use, but had to buy a 20 foot cable and try to stuff the extra 14 feet somewhere. Would be nice if they could have 6-10 foot cables to provide more options for various vehicles and uses.To date, the ... MoreI replaced my Blackvue 750S-2CH as it did not work properly after the warranty expired and was hesitant to stay with the brand. The quality of the images are very good and with the functionality of the parking mode/cloud features is everything I wanted. The 4/5 review is mainly for the cable issue as it is easier to hide 1-2 extra feet of cable rather than 14 feet.

Bought a DR970X for my wife's car quite an improvement over my DR650GW with pairing and viewing videos directly from the camera. It seems to work well with the Blackvue mobile app compared to the DR650. I bought both from Blackbox and it was a seamless process. I would not buy from any other retailer, they know their products and it shows with them being in business for so long. As for Blackvue, solid product I have had my DR650 for at least 8 years in two different cars and it still works well.

I've had this camera for a few weeks now and here's my review of it. I want to start by stating that the video quality, ease of installation and features of this camera set are extremely good. There's absolutely no doubt in my mind that this is among the best dash cams available on the market today.Unfortunately there are a few annoyances with it that, together, are enough to drop it one star.First the fact that the lenses aren't polarized to cut down on glare and light reflections is a travesty at this price point.Second the left-cap of the camera (where the wifi LED is) is made of very reflective plastic, which is installed at just the right height to reflect headlights and taillights of any car passing by left of yours, which makes for a strange white/red ... MoreI've had this camera for a few weeks now and here's my review of it. That's not going to affect everyone as the camera has to be at just the right height for this to happen but I happen to fit that perfectly. If the cap was made of a matte plastic instead that wouldn't be a problem.Third the adhesive supplied with the cameras isn't good enough to be installed on a cold Canadian windshield. I had to replace it with 3M Very High Bond CV45F tape instead, which has much stronger bond, even when applied to a cold windshield. Again this would be understandable on a cheap camera but at this price point one expects these details to not be an issue.

After owning a BlackVue DR600 for 5 years I figured it was time to upgrade and I'm glad I did. I ordered the Blackvue DR900X - 2CH and it came surprisingly quick considering covid and so close to Xmas. Although the two cameras look almost identical they aren't, the power and mount are different so I quick uninstall and re-install and onto testing. The transfer speed due to the addition of 5Ghz was a welcome option and I also opted for the 2 channel. I installed the DR900x in my MDX which is a SUV making the rear camera a bit more tricky to install. I wanted the cable running through the OEM grommet so after a bit of work I was able to keep the wires totally hidden as seen in the pictures. The 4K front camera is crystal clear and I was happy using a 256 gb card as my old one only took a 128 gb card.Unfortunately the camera release button located in the mount seemed to be faulty. I talked with Katrina at BBMC who was very helpful and pleasant and had no problem providing me with a new one.Appreciate the great service!
I'm very pleased with my purchase of the DR900S-1CH from BlackBoxMyCar.Delivery to Winnipeg, Manitoba in less then 48 hours from the time of purchase. The mount is a little buggy in that the button will not release all the way causing the camera to be loose in the mount. A quick online chat session with BlackBoxMyCar (Ben) and a follow-up email with Jordan and they will be sending out a new mount today. Excellent customer service! The only other issue is that the default WiFi password does not match with the password printed on the sticker affixed to the camera. After not being able to connect via WiFi using the default password on the sticker, I read the SD card in the BlackVue Viewer and discovered the password was different from the one printed on the sticker. ... MoreI'm very pleased with my purchase of the DR900S-1CH from BlackBoxMyCar.Delivery to Winnipeg, Manitoba in less then 48 hours from the time of purchase. The mount is a little buggy in that the button will not release all the way causing the camera to be loose in the mount. After not being able to connect via WiFi using the default password on the sticker, I read the SD card in the BlackVue Viewer and discovered the password was different from the one printed on the sticker. Once the correct password was entered, I was able to access the camera via WiFi and set it up accordingly. I have contacted BlackVue directly about the password issue and I am awaiting a reply. I'm hoping they can provide a way to write the correct default password to the chip in the camera so that it will match the default password printed on the sticker. The video quality of the DR900S is absolutely AMAZING and I would recommend this camera to anyone looking to purchase a high quality full featured dash cam.The team at BlackBoxMyCar has provided exceptional customer service from point of contact to delivery and after sales service and I would highly recommend them for all of your dash cam needs.
Having had a single channel security camera in my C300 I wanted extra extra protection in my Mustang GT. I've invested a moderate amount of time and money into this car after getting it from the factory and wanted to make sure it was protected front and back. While the security camera doesn't prevent other people from doing stupid things it does give you piece of mind that when someone does something stupid you will have proof to hand to the police. One feature I really like is the ability to have it connect to the cloud when it's parked in my garage. Someone opens my garage door and it starts shooting that right to the cloud. Very nifty. If only LTE wasn't so expensive in Canada I'd get a data only LTE plan just for this and push everything to the cloud. One thing ... MoreHaving had a single channel security camera in my C300 I wanted extra extra protection in my Mustang GT. I have parking mode turned ON (motion and impact sensor) for an hour after parking and set my Voltage threshold to 12v. It has warned me a few times that it was approaching and so turns the camera off. Just something to think about. You've already spend several hundred dollars whats $500 more :)
While I am pretty computer savvy the only thing that could make things better is if the cards came formatted. It’s not a huge issue but from a customer service point of view. The website and app downloads are futzy and having the camera restart as it can’t see the memory card is annoying while doing the install. I get the larger non BackVue cards wouldn’t come formatted. But the BlackVue ones should. In that note Apple/Mac users: your computer will suggest a different format rather than Fat when you go into disk utility to format it. Don’t trust the Mac, I know right?, format it to FAT. Works well happy with the purchase if you’re going to be in park mode for longer than a weekend save yourself the trouble and install a backup battery. My new 970x Plus 2 Channel was never able to get a GPS signal since day one. The first interaction was pretty good, gave suggestions on what to try: flash firmware on PC, and outside of the car under clear sky to make sure it gets the best chance. And told me to report back if it didn't work, so I can get a replacement unit. The second support agent (Luke) was a whole different story. He just kept telling me that I need to try cloud connections to get the GPS working, even though I mentioned that GPS isn't related to the cloud features. But I went with it just to get things moving. So I registered a free trial, connected the dashcam to the cloud, and of course it didn't fix the GPS issue. Sadly, since there is no review for the support agent included on the website, I have to leave the review here for the product.
I purchased this to replace my previous 7-year-old BlackVue camera. The construction feels rugged and well built, and I was able to reuse most of my old hardwire set-up for this camera so installation was quick and easy. It actually took me far longer to loosen the adhesive enough to remove the old camera from the glass than the time it took me to install and set up the new one.Once running, I'm impressed by the image quality and clarity of this new model. Plates and details are fairly crisp even at night. It's probably a good idea to upgrade the SD card to a larger size though as the included SD card will only store about 3 days worth of combined driving and parking mode footage at the highest quality for me.Unlike my old camera where it was possible to adjust ... MoreI purchased this to replace my previous 7-year-old BlackVue camera. It's probably a good idea to upgrade the SD card to a larger size though as the included SD card will only store about 3 days worth of combined driving and parking mode footage at the highest quality for me.Unlike my old camera where it was possible to adjust the length of each clip, it seems the new BlackVues will only record in 1 minute clip intervals which is slightly annoying since it results in A LOT of clips that you need to sift through and sometimes would cut an event that you're trying to review into multiple files, which means a lot of jumping back and forth. That's about the only gripe I have and personally it's not enough for me to take off a star, although I wish they would restore the ability for the user to adjust clip length in the future.
Upgraded my old Blackvue DR650GW-2CH to the new DR970X-2CH. Bought my first dashcam from Alex Jang when he use to operate from his condo 9 years ago. Always have been impressed with Blackvue's style of minimalism and exceptional product quality. Took me a while to purchase a quality dashcam until the technology caught up. Went to the retail store, grabbed the product and installed it myself no problems. Was impressed with the Youtube Product Reviews from various different users to get a good unbiased review.
