I purchased this to replace a set top/blue ray combo. The unit is tiny not just in comparison to the combo unit. Very easy setup, took minutes. Recommend making sure you have quality co-ax (aerial) cables AND connections as it is a HD unit, don't blame the set-top box if your signal is glitchy. My nine year old was able to drive it straight after it was set up. Only complaint is that it doesn't use generic station numbers such as "73 for 7 mate" but I'm sure it's just in settings (?) EPG is very good also. The quality of picture on our Samsung panel free to air TV is so much better.

A perfect solution to be able to resurrect an older non digital TV. A high quality Full HD Set Top Box which works perfectly. I thoroughly recommend this product.

I just bought this little set top box today because my Smart TV wants me to jump through crazy hoops to record live TV. once I got my HDMI and aerial cable setup connected and wiggled into place properly I was all good to go. Tuning was straightforward. Channels here have fallen into place. Mine is a bit different to the pic on the box...the company has traded the little red LED standby light ( now an empty hole) for a fancier standby display and clock. Live recording and scheduled recording was very straightforward to set. I'm very impressed so far! Thanks again JB Hi Fi!!

Long winding procedure to delete recorded programs.Cannot adjust the recording time length of TV programs from EPG.Cannot repeat or not sure how to record the TV programs weekly.
The Blaupunkt set top box is very limited. I can’t see a list of all channels, only 1 at a time and can’t watch another show while I record another. Also can record a show that’s started. Not much use really.
I bought this because the tv in my unit doesn't have an antenna port. After some months it started to turn off by itself. I looked in the internet and it said it was most likely due to overheating, which makes sense because it doesn't happen in winter. It's been getting worse, now the longest time it stays on is about 5 seconds and most of the time it doesn't stay on even for a second.
Needed to replace a old Olin STB [ which was connected to my even older Philips analogue TV ] ;...the Olin was continually switching off after only a few channel browses ; so checked out many reviews on this Blaupunkt before purchasing...Cheap price but still ; easy to hook up / install without needing to seek the help of "Tech savvy " grandchildren.....No problem for me with small size of remote.
Programming the recording takes longer and longer the more you have scheduled. By the time you have 14 programs scheduled, it takes 10 seconds to add the 15th. And 26 seconds to add the 20th. And these times are the same when modifying an existing entry - if you have 20 scheduled, it takes 26 seconds to modify one. And once you modify one, it goes to the end of the list, so the entries are no longer in date/time sequence. And if you modify too many, it crashes.
Great set top box with very good sound and picture quality. We use this on a TV we bought back from the USA after living there. The only thing to fault is the poor quality LED screen. It has a weird glow to it and looks out of place next to modern blue or white displays. That’s being picky on an otherwise excellent set to box.
I cannot get it to record video onto a USB 32GB memory chip. I formatted it using Win 11 desktop. Any suggestions?
