Ive had the same air filter for decades and the one thing that needs replacement is the filter. I have this filter on subscription every 6 months and it arrives on time and exactly when I need it.It is easily to install and remove because there are labels and tabs. Large labels that tell you which side is up and which side face which direction. Tabs allow you to pull out the old filter and replace the new one. I highly recommend the air filter and filter.

I looked all over for the generic version which I used to buy but I could not find the correct size. Manufacturers are known to do this, custom size so only they sell it. Suck it up or contact your local filter supply house and probably pay the same or more for a custom HEPA filter. Fits snuggly as it should. At first your going to think its too big but its fine.

Awesome filters! Used for mold issues.

We have 2 blue air purifiers. Reading the comments I can see where there's possibly confusion. We have a 203, and a 215b. They are identical to the eye, filters identical, controls, wattage, everything is the same except for one is JUST A TINY bit bigger. If you were to put the filter in the smaller one, it would fit very snugly. If you switched it, the other would fit with some wiggle room. The dimensions side by side are negligible in difference.Saying that, if switched they may not perform as well as intended. So make SURE your filter is for the 203/215b...ect not just the 200 series.

Bad one
10 April 2020

I bought this filter a year ago as a spare and this month changed my old filter for this one. It has a terrible odor - like disinfectant or bug spray (although it was sealed). I contacted company and they sent me a new one and today I received it. Package very dirty, and crushed on one end. I opened it and forced it into machine. At least it did not have the bad smell, but I could hardly get it into my machine. I just wonder where this product is made and who their distributor is. I have since ordered one for a spare from Bed, Bath and Beyond and it was very nicely packaged, no dents. However, I won't know until next year whether or not it will smell. I have 2 other air cleaners (Winix) and I have never had this problem. Blue Air Filter and Blue Air Purifier machine
19 May 2022

I own 4 Blue Air Purifier machines. I purchased them in 2018 after being exposed to black mold and having to have sinus surgery. My doctor said I must have "clean air" I have never turned back This product does the job. I have a 2350 sf house and I have a purifier in each 3 bedrooms and one in the greatroom I have become addicted to clean air. I have a particulate matter monitor and regularly check my home to ensure that the air is low and it is always below 4.0 ( 2.5mic) usually 2.0 These filters are great they recommend changing every 6months but I have slipped up and gone longer and it has held it's own I highly recommend this company and my health has depended on it!

Expensive filters
5 July 2023

We've had a Blueair air purifier for a few years now. The product itself is okay; however, the filter replacements are a bit ridiculous. It's $80 for a new filter. Between last year and this year, the filter price has gone up $25 alone, and that's with a discount as a filter subscriber. I can't afford to keep using the product because of the high filter cost.

Great Purifier and Filter
7 January 2017

I purchased my Blue Air about a year ago for my bedroom due to dust mite allergy. The air in there now feels more clear and clean since I began using it. I keep the bedroom door closed from the rest of the upstairs when the purifier is on. My allergies are worst in the fall and winter months when I turn on the furnace. During the spring and summer I can turn off the purifier and open my windows without too much discomfort. I love fresh air, but during the winter in Iowa you can't keep your windows open very long. Dust mite allergy is basically a year round problem, but in my experience, I suffer much worse with the windows closed. The only thing I haven't done yet to my bedroom to dust proof it, is pull up the carpet. Some people may think getting rid of carpet is a no-brainer. That may be something I will do next. When I replaced my filter before starting to use it again this past fall, I was surprised (or maybe I should say happy to know it was working so well) to see all the dust and gunk trapped in my old filter. Needless to say, the purifier was working and the filter doing it's job. I continuously dust and vacuum (with a special allergy vacuum) and it amazes me how much stuff is still lingering in the air to be grabbed by the filter.
