This is by far one of the most feature packed, high audio quality, single ear headsets I’ve ever used.First off, one of the most important things to consider is comfort. Or in the car driving.The accompanying case is where this already great headset goes beyond! Not only is the case a nice pocket sized place to store your headset, it also can store the dongle, AND, recharge/top off the battery from the internal case battery. You get more than 1 full charge from the case, so you’re looking at over 15 hours of talk time on average.Over the years I have had many BT headsets for my phone, mostly for using in the car, and this just excels in nearly every category for car AND office. Extremely versatile and long life. What more can you ask for?I gotta run now, but I can tell you that I’m in the car, on a teams call , and the other participants can’t even tell. I hear them loud and clear over traffic and road noise, and then hear me as if I were sitting in my office in front of the mic.

None of my friends knew I was doing this until after I told them. You will definitely notice a positive difference when using this device outside compared to what you are using as a Bluetooth headset right now. Music and podcasts sound great while you wait for calls, and when you do get on one, communication from either side is top-tier according to my online and cellular testing. The ear inserts are of very high quality and meant to last. Changing them out is a very deliberate process and it would be nearly impossible to have them disconnect from the headset accidently.The additional case/battery is fantastic. I wasn't sure it was going to be included, but it is. Replacements are readily available online from a few sellers for a reasonable price in case you lose it. I haven't come close to exhausting either the headset or the battery backup, but charging before initial use seemed to be quick. The documentation provided does a great job of setting expectations. Make sure to charge the battery case before use so it can "wake-up" after it has left the manufacturing plant!All in all, it is larger than other headsets, but not cumbersome. I never notice it once I get going. This headset is now my go-to device when working and in professional settings.If this is in your price range, get it.

I've owned previous versions of this headset from the same brand before the name change and it was always my favorite unit when I needed a compact headset on the go. Fast forward to the Voyager 5200 and there are a ton of major improvements. Any complaints I may have had from my old one have been addressed, along with upgrades that I hadn't even thought of. Pairing is super easy and the Poly Lens app makes setup a simple affair.As expected, audio quality is fantastic for both incoming and outgoing, even in noisy environments. All are the same shape and none feel good in my ear and none form a proper seal to keep out interfering sounds from the outside. There should be some alternative shapes and sizes and maybe even some foam covers to help with comfort/sealing.

Would like to give it a 3, but it falls below the operable standardsUpdate 2/2023Save your $$ and find an alternative to this product...In the first year I had this unit, I had it replaced and spent countless hours on hold to try and get the issues resolved. Also in the first year I was told to go into the app and TURN OFF all sensors to prevent calls from dropping since they believed it was caused my my head being cooler than the average person ( I work in Construction Contract Administration and Inspections, I have ANYTHING but a cool head!) and the sensors in the earpiece believed the it had been removed and would switch it to the phone in mid sentence....VERY annoying while driving.Earpiece that fits in ear broke at the base in year 2 and I had to order new ones....Also in second year, the stem between the body of the unit and earpiece/microphone started to separate. I have been gingerly putting the earpiece on in the morning to avoid any more damage, however we are just over 4 months into year 3 and? ( see photo)Plantronics was the "goto" company for my predecessors earpieces.Since Plantronics purchased Poly in 2018 and changed it name to "POLY" and then in 2022 was purchased by HP, one can only assume this was due to manufacturing or financial trouble, which, has ultimately affected their product.DO YOUR RESEARCH 1...these units are made as cheaply as possible with less than adequate customer service.
This headset from the initial opening of the box is stunning, The headset comes in a charging case that holds the headset and USB dongle. The case itself is a rechargeable case that charges the headset in 2 different ways, either laying in the case of standing in the outside charging port on the case, if you don't have the case with you, you can still charge the headset via USB cable by plugging in at the bottom of the headset(covered with a rubber cover). The USB dongle can plug into any computer to give a wireless connection to the headset if the computer does not have or support bluetooth connections. The box also includes the charging cable to charge the Charging case battery and multiple size eartips that are easily interchangeable for ear comfort.The headset ... I also like that the steel band covers the full exterior from earcup to earcup. Additionally, the new boom arm looks a lot more high tech.- Controls: The power switch is familiar and easy to find, also doubling to activate pairing mode. The new location for the ANC switch is actually an improvement in my opinion. However, the playback, call, and volume controls feel like a step backwards. I prefer to have the playback and call controls on opposite sides, instead of all being combined into a panel on the microphone side. I can deal with the volume buttons being on that panel, but I definitely liked the "rocker ring" on the 1st gen better.- Setup: Just as one would expect from Poly, setup is a snap. The headset immediately recognizes the included Bluetooth dongle immediately. It's also very easy to enter pairing mode and connect to nearly any device. Likewise, the Poly Lens app for desktop and/or Plantronics Hub mobile app make settings changes and software updates super simple.- Battery life: The 1st gen had a great battery that would easily plow through even the longest of marathon meeting workdays without breaking a sweat, even when you're using ANC. The Focus 2 battery lasts even longer. While this may not seem necessary, it is nice to know that you can get a couple days of work out of this headset or travel with it for a long weekend without having to worry about finding a charger. If you're at home with a charging base, this becomes a moot point. And you always have the option to plug in the included cable and use it as a wired headset with no battery drain.- Noise cancelling: The 1st gen was great, but the Voyager Focus 2 is significantly improved in this regard. If I set the ANC to high, I can take calls or conduct meetings while my Roomba is running at my feet or while sitting in the stands of a high school pool area without it bothering anybody on the other end of the call. Likewise, I can hear them loud and clear without any significant noise intrusion. When I'm at home, I normally have music playing in the background and setting the ANC to low is enough to keep that from interfering with communication.- Sound quality: This is another area where Poly made improvements. The 1st gen was great, but the Focus 2 is definitely better. This true for both call audio and streaming media. It performs like a really nice set of Bluetooth stereo headphones.- Range: The range on this unit is fantastic and is a major improvement over the 1st gen, which was no slouch. I can move freely throughout most of my home without fear of dropping the connection and have even gone out to get the mail from across the street without it missing a beat.- Charging: If you're using the optional desktop stand, charging is a no-brainer and the stand can be had with either USB-A or USB-C connectivity. However, when you need to travel with your headset and are using a cable, you nice right away that the Focus 2 still uses a USB-micro connector, which is completely out of place in 2022. A USB-C connector would eliminate the need to carry a separate, dedicated charge cable. Thankfully, the included carrying case has a nice little pocket for the included charging cable.Overall, I love this headset and it is my new primary mode of communication. You hear what you want without outside intrusion and the same is true for your audience. Streaming media content is fantastic and this is an easy headset to wear all day without any comfort issues. I'm even considering the Voyager Office Base, which significantly boosts the range while also serving as the charge stand.

The headset uses triple-mic active Digital Signal Processing and wind cancelling. The users on the other end of the call have all said my mic sounded clear and there was no background wind or static noise. The audio quality is good for the size, but not the best, especially when listening to music. The battery life has been great and easily last well over 6 hours. The Bluetooth range is rated at 100 feet, so you freely roam a good distance.Some aspects I would have liked to see in this product is for it to use USB C as a majority of my devices use that connection type. Active noise cancelling would also be a nice feature since outside sound does still come through. The MSRP is on the more expensive side, but I feel the features and design make it worth it. Overall, I found the Voyager 5200 headset to suit my needs and would recommend it. If you are in the market looking for a over the ear headset that provides good sound quality, the Voyager 5200 Office and UC Series may be for you.
