This promises to be a great boot, though quite different from a normal Blundstone. The sole and heel are definitely stiffer, not as soft as a normal Blundstone. No one would really confuse these with actual dress boots, but compared to ither Blundstones, they are definitely dressier. The leather is strong and supple, but may take a little more breaking in than normal for this brand.The only reason I took off a star is the color. When you call something Tan, one would expect a pretty light color. These aren't dark, but definitely aren't Tan. I'd call them more a Medium Brown. I guess I thought the photos were a bit dark, but the actual boots are a little darker than the photos. Great boot. New sleek style is great for a dressier look. Had to return them though . It’s a more narrow fit than the classic blundstone. Going up a size would have made them too long .. sad .

I normally wear a size 8 in Blundtone and have the 550 size 8 , 1609 size 8 , 585 size 8 and finally the work boot 161 also fits tight and have it in an 8.5.the only diff between the 8-8.5 is widths. and at that it's only slightly noticeable. side by side the sole is the same dimensions.so I recommend sizing up 1/5 size.All the great things about this boot, water proof , in the winter these are my primary dress shoes if I have to walk anywhere.
They are a really nice colour. Fits true to size. Requires a bit of breaking in especially higher up the boot around the ankle. Colleagues were surprised that they were blundstones.
Purchased these boots online, very high quality product, but just aren't dressy enough to wear with slacks/trousers or nice jeans. The leather is quite tough (which can be a good thing) looking, but they are just way to plain looking in person and look like a work boot. I definitely wouldn't call these dress shoes/boots, I'm looking to return or exchange.
Not worth the price. I dont find the comfort of these as similar to the regular style of Blundstones. I would have rather spent the money on the dress antique brown boots.
Pros:1. The boot build quality and dress design is well done. I usually buy Frye's but decided to see what Blundstone could do for dress (I have a pair for casual and yard work).2. Comfortable as soon as I put them on. One small blister after walking for an hour in the city, but that's really good with new boots. My feet usually ache afterwards.3. Easy to put on. I've had Blundstones initially hard to put on during the break-in period.4. The leather and colour finish is very well done.Cons:1. Where the soul meets the boot could have had some stitching for style. The glue gives the finish a cheaper look.2. The Chestnut colour is a combination of maroon and brown. It's still nice, but was looking for a truer brown or Cognac colour.
Nice pair of shoes which look great but do require a period of wearing in. Toe box is slightly smaller than previous pair owned and more tapered as per dress style. Anterior tongue was very tight initially. Medial heel lining experienced pilling on 1st wear.
This was my first pair of Blundstones. The pair is a #1900 dress ankle boots in chestnut brown. I love them. I got a AUS 8 which is a US 9-ish. I normally wear a US 8.5 and a EU 41. These fit great. I got a different pair of #500 originals in AUS 7.5 and although they are smaller, they don’t fit at well as these. I know the half sizes aren’t actually half sizes but just fit looser. These have a narrow fit and cut to give the dressy chiseled look, and think it makes them fit better than the regular styles. The leather on the is very nice and the elastic is tight and high-quality.
