Blunt Exec Umbrella Charcoal

We love your product. The best in the world! Since we bought ours, many of our friends have added your delight to their bags/cars/workplaces/homes.If your product lasts for 10 years I tell them it’s at the most $15 Aussie $ per year - great value.I want more manly colours! Not executive to say BUT ordinary man colours ! The executive should come in camo and different camo. Also what is wrong with adding a name on it like “Willo” as in Wilson to differentiate between others ?

The first time I used my brand new Exec, a spring fell out of one of the tips. Fortunately I figured out how to put it back together myself. On my fourth outing with this umbrella, the handle fell off. I then reached out to the manufacturer; it took three emails before I received any response. As the thing was new, it is to be replaced. The old one is currently in the post, somewhere between here and Melbourne. Time will tell whether the replacement fares any better than the original. If you're looking for an expensive brolly that will withstand repeated use, don't buy one of these.

The umbrella is well made, and fairly well designed. The main thing that bothers me about the design is the hook and loop (velcro) closure system, used to keep the umbrella rolled up, should be a bit wider to better restrain the tendency to unfurl, and so the hook and loop pad could be wider to better hold together. The hook and loop pad often let’s go and the umbrella unfurls while I’m walking with it closed, which isn’t an issue with many umbrellas but the blunt umbrella opens two thirds of the way under gravity alone so it is a tripping hazard if it happens at the wrong time, so improving the hook and loop (velcro) material is a must.In terms of its rigidity and function as an umbrella while open, it is fantastic so far, I’ve had it for a couple of weeks and it ... MoreThe umbrella is well made, and fairly well designed. I wanted to buy a better quality umbrella - better than those cheap ones you see turning inside out with a light puff of wind. This blunt exec does not disappoint. In fact I’d say it’s excellent. It may be a little heavier than other brands (I’ve only got a cheap one to compare with) but I’d say the strength & quality is a good trade-off for a few extra grams. Definitely recommend this product, no hesitation.

Nice design, got sucked in by the hype. After a few uses (~5) it is showing significant wear on the material.Wrote to customer service a week ago or so and didn’t receive a response.Beyond that, but not really a fault as such is that it’s pretty heavy and doesn’t ‘feel’ like a premium umbrella.In my opinion, not worth the money.

Good quality umbrella but there is always room for improvement. I purchased this back in November but there hasn't been much rain for the chance for me to use this to provide a review. It is a quality made umbrella but the one thing that would improve it is having a button to press to open it up. It is quite difficult if you only have one hand available to put the umbrella up or down. This is also made difficult for myself as I don't have great strength (just me but obviously everyone is different)If it had that option then I could easily give the product a higher review - other than this I would purchase again and encourage others to purchase.

I love my new blunt umbrella! I bought the classic in blue. My mum has the orange, which was how I discovered blunt umbrellas and just had to have one. It's amazing! So strong and sturdy, even on the windiest day. I love how easy it is to open and close! No more pinching my fingers on old umbrellas. I could never go back. Blunt are truly the world's best umbrellas! And they look great too! :)

Sturdily made and easy to operate. The unique opening mechanism for resisting wind-drag and the strengthened frames are the prime selling points over other umbrellas. I've had several with extra rib-frames and pressure vents but eventually they all fall down by tips not holding or frames being bent through failure to retract correctly. Perfect for cities that have strong wind profiles in their weather!

Classics are almost bulletproof

So this is a long term review of the Blunt classic. I got mine 9 years ago and it has kept me dry up and down the county from light drizzle to driving West Coast rain and Taranaki storms. Its a bit faded now but the frame has never let me down despite being inverted once. It works, it has done what they said it would, it hasn’t broken and aside from looking a little less than fresh it continues to work flawlessly. Can’t comment on the repair service as I haven’t needed it, that kinda says it all really. Just bought a metro for the car, see you in another decade.

I recently bought a classic sized blunt umbrella and I have to start by saying that every single one of these umbrellas should come with a carry sleeve. Though the umbrella ticks all the boxes in terms of strength, durability, and a sleek aesthetic design that turns heads, the functionality of the regular coloured, non collaboration special addition umbrellas really lack in a comfortable carry sleeve. Carry sleeves allow the umbrella to become more accessible for those who may benefit from being able to sling the umbrella around their shoulder, to wear as you would a bag, the slightly shorter than a full sized conventional umbrella makes this awkward to carry when you arent a typically healthy person. A very costly mistake that can result in loss of a very strong and useful item, not easily replaced if you are low income.For this reason I have given the product a 4 out of 5 for the loss of a carry sleeve in a large portion of the stock.The functionality and durability otherwise are perfect if you live somewhere, where the wind may destroy your conventional umbrella, or if you go camping and the wind may be unpredictable.Reccomended. But do be aware of the flaws.
